you sit on the couch you got a laptop on your belly and you just like code away and you see stuff happen how great is that that's when it started though I thought video was this like incredible medium to communicate to engage with people yet it was so hard to create video so what we wanted to do at V was actually reduce the barrier to entry put video editing in the browser use AI to help people get their jobs done more efficiently than they could before and finally also make it collaborative first the goal was to figure out can we even render videos in the browser turns out we can is just extremely hard and uh it took us about 2 years of hard work to just get to a minimal viable product the other thing that's super cool is because we built Ved in the browser and in the cloud natively it's given us the ability to use AI technology that offline and Legacy players just aren't able to do this means that we can send our videos and our audios to AIS and llms in the cloud and actually return that data for our users so they can edit their videos in ways that they've never been able to done before this is so great for us to partner with companies such as assembly AI because we can now take really professional language based models and completely understand what's happening in the video Once transcribed all a video is just a bunch of text and that's really exciting it makes the video way more malleable you can edit a video simply just by editing the text but there is also a lot of other features that we're trying to build for example Magic card we can take your raw cut where you talk into the camera with ums RS repeats we slice it up based on the transcript that we have from assembly Ai and then we can create a Perfect Video based on that text and post it on the Internet working with assembly AI is amazing because their team is amazing we get to talk to them every single day if we have an issue they're happy to answer happy to help us out and this is incredibly powerful I don't have to have a team working solely on transcription technology instead we can use them as a partner to actually efficiently work through all of the content that's created on the platform it allows us to actually focus on what we're great at building a collaborative browser-based video editor and distributing that product at speed and at velocity to our user base we never thought that we would be building a lot of oneclick Wonder solutions for our users so quickly but maybe now we're talking about the future where you can start recording stop recording maybe do a few prompts in between and then you've got a perfect video already 90% of the way I mean is that a future we're talking about because that sounds exciting
