## Описание

We just created a movie trailer using AI. You can watch the entire trailer here on our new YouTube channel linked below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCFJm9Rkl6E

To start created a trailer or even short films, we’ll need a story and a shortlist and we can use ChatGPT to help us.

Step 1: All you need to do is give ChatGPT a broad idea. We said “I want to create a horror film that takes place in the 1800s during the pioneer migration. The group of travelers comes across a cabin and throughout the story, they discover it’s haunted. Give me a list of 20 shot ideas that I can use in a movie trailer”

Step 2: Once you have the shot list, we can use a number of text to image tools, like Midjourney, Dalle or Leonardo. We used Midjourney since we are the most familiar with Midjourney. We can copy and paste the exact description from Midjourney. At the end of the prompt, type --ar 16:9 --v 6 --style raw

Step 3: After created all the sh

### Intro []

we just created an entire movie trailer using Ai and I want to show you a quick preview then I'll show you the step-by-step walkthrough on how to create one of these on your own so that was the first half of the trailer we just released a brand new YouTube channel that's all going to be AI generated movie trailers and short films so we included this entire trailer on that channel if you want to watch it after this video I'll link it below okay so to create a trailer just like this the first thing you obviously need is you need some kind of a story to have in your trailer and a shot list number of shots that are going to be included we're going to use chat GPT to do that that's going to be step one and I broke up this whole process into five steps and I'll show you exactly how I did it and the different tools that you need to do this yourself as well and just to give you a quick background I went to film School 15 years ago and I've been running a video production company fulltime for over 15 years now and I've been also working as a cinematographer so this is really a perfect opportunity for me and my team to actually launch a narrative based video production company and use this as an example of what we're capable of it could be in horror sci-fi we have a bunch of different trailer ideas we're working on to raise money because creating one of these with AI is near free doing something like this when we do actual shoots we've shot short films future films those take an incredible amount of money time and really a heavy investment in both this is now giving us an opportunity to do something we were never able to do before so I'm really excited to do this for ourselves and to share what we're learning in the process so step one

### Step 1 Create a Prompt [2:11]

we're going to do this in chpd that's coming up with just a broad idea we're not telling the whole story here just enough for a trailer so I wrote I want to create a horror film takes place in the 1800s during the Pioneer migration the group of Travelers come across a cabin and through the story they discover is haed give me 20 shot ideas that I could use in a movie trailer that's pretty much it I don't have to really make this prompt complicated this is going to get me close enough that then it could take me to the next step of actually generating these shots now while it's creating the shot list I usually ask for 20 but we may use less or more inside of our trailer depends on the length of the trailer ours is less than a minute so we could make this into short format too distribute a across different platforms Beyond YouTube but it says aerial view of a Pioneer Caravan start with a grand sweeping aerial shot so this is great this is really what I need is a description of a shot so if I want to take this to the next level I could say convert the shot list into prompts I could give mid Journey but in my experience even these as prompts work pretty well inside of mid Journey so I could just ask for that let me show you that and here it's going to give you a little bit of a refined prompt here so you could go ahead and copy and paste one of these right so again I'm going to get 20 different shot ideas this is where the creativity comes into play though you could go into these and not just take them exactly as they are anybody could technically create this what's going to really set you apart is going to be the creativity and the storytelling that takes a little bit of experience here so obviously we come from that world so it's going to be a little bit more helpful creating these but I'm going to go ahead and copy this over here so Step One is technically complete we got our shot list here and this is the order on how they're going to get edited in the trailer so now onto step number two we

### Step 2 Create Images [4:08]

need to actually create images not videos yet we need to create images in step two and we're going to use mid Journey because mid journey is just the one we're most familiar with and I think it's going to do the best job here for what we need which is these realistic movie like images it's very cinematic it's very realistic you could try dollar if you want you could try Leonardo if you want as well those are also good okay let's go ahead and type in Imagine inside of mid journey and I ran this prompt a few different times to get a few different variations outside of chat GPT the shot that I ended up really liking was a shot of a wagon train in the dim light of dawn Miss swirling around the wheel Eerie tone of Journey and this is the part that you do have to add D- AR space 16x9 that gets you that 16 by9 size that's a movie size typical video size that you see on youtube-- V6 that's to use the version six of mid Journey version 5. 2 is actually pretty good A little bit of a different style if you want to test that out D- style raw that's going to come closest to actually using this exactly and then you just go ahead and send that out and then if you type in settings over here you could go ahead and type in settings and press enter let me just go ahead and show you that you get this remix mode make sure remix mode is turned to Green once you do that basically you're going to get options to remix it so if this is the last version I tested out here if I press variation right here V4 it's going to bring me this remix box so if I don't quite get what I want if I want to this be more dark or less dark whatever I want I could go ahead and tailor this prompt a little bit here and submit it to get something a little bit different once you do like one of these let's say I like number one I press upress number one it's going to give me this version and then you could upscale it here with a subtle upscale the creative one doesn't get you quite what you want most of the time but that's going to really smooth it out and then you could go ahead and if you like the smoother version or the more grainy version you could go ahead and right click on it or you could just open it up here and go ahead and save this to your computer so at this point this is all part of step two we need to generate all the images in the order that we're going to use them in our trailer so that's what of done so let me show you some of those here there a couple different versions of the wagon here one had a cow we didn't like that one then these are the different images that we got that you've seen in the trailer already okay so we created about 27 different shots we ended up creating using exactly the technique I just showed you with mid

### Step 3 Animate Images [6:50]

Journey that brings us to step number three which now we have our shot list and we created the images from the shot list now we need to actually animate those shot list we need to bring him to life and make him into a video clip and we're going to use a tool called runway for that it's the leading tool right now for that let's go to Runway and I'm logged into my Runway account here I'm just going to use the free plan here just to show you that it is technically possible to do this with the free plan we did upgrade to their Unlimited Plan actually CU we did we do this quite a bit but let's choose gen two and gen 2 is pretty simple and I've covered this in other tutorials but you just upload one of those pictures to start and this is the one I just created on Mid Journey so I could show you we actually didn't end up using this in that movie trailer but it was pretty good it was a close second and this is under the image Tab and you have a few different options over here so this one right here you could click on this and we turn this down to three to have a little bit less decreased the intensity of the motion usually right now as I'm recording this these tools need to be more subtle that's why there's very little movement relative to Big sweeping shots that you may see in actual movies the more subtle you are the more realistic the more cinematic this is going to look right now but we're going to add some camera motion so if you click on camera motion you could add a little bit of movement and usually a zoom could get you far so like at two we usually add a little bit of Zoom you could pan to you could move horizontally and vertically these are all the camera options so go ahead and save that and this is really cool right here this motion brush option they recently added this thing let me click Start where you could move multiple different things within the image so you could for example in this case like all this Cloud could be brushed over so then all that could be moved in a really nice subtle way so you could do this for example right so that's your starting point is brushing that but what they've also added is you could also add a second brush and paint another object in there and it's going to remove that as well in this case I don't want to do that so I'm going to undo that but they've introduced now five different brushes to select only a portion of an image you once moved so if you want to move an object or a person this is the way that you do it with the brushes you don't have to use the brushes at all usually does a good job in this case we want the cloud so this xais this left to right so let's go -2 so it's going to move the horizontal Direction and save that again motion brush is totally optional and then you could press generate here and then it's going to go to work here and if it doesn't quite get you what you want you could actually go ahead and give it an additional prompt over here but for the sake of time let me show you what he gave me and this is really nice the clouds are nicely moving there's a little push in the camera is zooming in slowly that's the subtle cinematic movement I was talking about so this is good to go we could technically use this again we went through and we did the exact same thing with all the 26 27 different shots that we had okay so now over here we created a folder Runway exports so all our exports went into this folder I'll just show you one of them here so here's something that we got with the motion brush again camera slowly zooming in got exactly what we wanted out of that okay so at this point we have everything that we want okay for step number four we

### Step 4 Editing [10:18]

need to actually edit these clips in the order that they need to be in the trailer so in order to do that we need to use an editing platform so there's two free ones that are really like one is called Da Vinci resolve a little bit more advanced but once you learn it it's really easy to use and then another one called CAP cuts that one is also very easy to use and that one is free too I do have tutorials about both on YouTube so if you want to go to that direction download one of those watch a tutorial learn how to use it they have a lot of AI tools but the editing is still a little bit of a manual process especially when you're trying to tell a story so this is what da Vinci looks like for example so over here you would import your media and down here is you would basically put them in order so I'm going to go to the edit panel right here there's this edit panel and let's go ahead and import some media I'm going to go ahead and right click here and press import media and I'll select all these 27 Clips import and here if I just go and select all these right here I just hold shift select bring them down here this is what's called the timeline this is where the editing takes place okay so now if I shrink this down you could see this is exactly the order of the shots right I won't spoil it but you get the idea that's really all it takes so again for step four you could decide if the shots need to be longer if they need to be shorter if you want to kind of change the size to have those black bars on top and bottom which there's a whole video transform area where you could actually make ton of different edits to the video like resizing it and things like that or adding different aspect ratio like cropping the top and the bottom here if you want so this is actually good maybe we do the top crop and the bottom crop so that looks a little bit more cinematic you could do things like this using Da Vinci very simple to do which that brings us to

### Step 5 Voice Over [12:10]

step number five which is still going to take place in the editing process but really if you think about how movie trailers come together they require music they require sound effects and sometimes they require a little bit of narration VoiceOver we chose not to go do the voiceover routes with the horror but some of the other ones we're creating like the Sci-Fi type of trailers those will use voiceover and to do that 11 labs. is the absolute leading platform for that so they have a section called voices over here and you could go to the explore Tab and there's this entire voice library and you could search so narrative and story has a whole category and you could listen to any of these voices and if you like them so we were looking for some kind of British voice like that kind of pioneer accent and we found a few and then you just add them to voice lab right here it says add to voice lab then when you go to speech and you go to create you're going to be able to type in text and then this text you could press generate and you could turn it into voice over this land it promised A New Beginning now it Whispers of old unquiet things they also have an option called Speech to speech so you could record exactly how you want to deliver the dialogue and it will use that voice and turn your recording into exactly that so these two are really useful again this is an optional step we didn't use this at all for this specific trailer but I did want to point that out because you could really take your storytelling to the next level using this AI voice generation inside of voice Labs okay so then when it comes to music you could use AI or you could use royaltyfree Music royalty free music right now is going to have a bigger library and just better options but we did try stable audio. com I'm just going to play this real quick because right here this is all we used right here is this prompt we just wrote creepy atmospheric horror ambient noise and look what we got okay pretty good so this just has a prompt box here and they also have a prompt library that doesn't give us anything in the horror genre but they do have more upbeat and commercial type stuff here and this gave us a 45 seconds with the free version of stable audio but we ended up using actually invado elements couple of different libraries that we looked at so invado elements for example has this whole music category so if you look for like horror here they have ton of different options I think yeah 3,000 almost 4,000 options of soundtracks and these have different lengths to them so these will have a watermark this is a subscription platform that we pay for because we use this with pretty much every YouTube video you've seen cuz we get our video templates and stock and everything else here but we also got sound effects here so under sound effects again if I look for horror type sound effects or like little branches of trees breaking or different types of things like that screams background noise it has all these different categories so you could see like human sounds or nature sounds so a lot of the sound design that you saw came from this platform here so not quite 100% AI here with the music and the sound effects although stable audio is getting pretty close but not quite where we needed to be yet so we did use a little bit of stock here or royaltyfree music and sound effects and inside of Da Vinci I'm on the video track and the audio track is this is where you kind of layer your music so if I import another media so here we have things for music so we downloaded a bunch of different types of music things so you could go ahead and import anything that you found online and over here these go on the track under your video track so they're going to go to the track to become background music okay and here if you want to change the duration of the music if you right click on it says change clip duration and you actually let you using AI in the background make this as long as you need it to be so if it's a two-minute trailer just type in 2 minutes here this is a minute and 45 but I do have to make a little bit edits here and then I'll match it to the music same thing you start a new layer if you right click you add a new track you'll add a new stereo audio track and your sound effects will lay down over here now let's say I'm done with this again we did spend some time but that's more an editing tutorial and not quite an AI tutorial but we did spend some time moving things around lining things up with sound effects adding a little bit of Animation here with text they have a whole title section for example so you could grab like these type of titles here just put them here and then type in your title so we had that well it's at the end of the trailer that we have on the other YouTube channel that shows you these different titles that we added at the end and then when we were done right here deliver there's a tab right here that lets you basically choose like this h264 is good you select that name the file here all these are good and you just add it to render Q choose where it's going to go I'm going to just add it to the movies folder on my computer and it's going to export it it's going to be ready to be basically posted right after the exports done which usually takes a couple minutes depending on the speed of your computer if you're using Da Vinci or if you're using cap cut to edit your video and that's the five-step process of creating an entire trailer or short film using Ai and this is going to give us so many new opportunities that would have cost us so much money to Showcase what we're capable of on the creative side on the storytelling side so I hope you really found it useful if you want to support us again we have that whole new trailer based Channel all using different AI tools we're going to release new trailers there too so check that out finish this whole trailer let me know what you think over there and on the comment section and I'll see you on the next video
