### Introduction to Tesla event []

so Elon Musk finally had the Tesla wi robot event that showcased a bunch of new AI features and autonomous vehicles this event was absolutely incredible because for the first time we got a real glance into what the future of the world might look like with Advanced AI technology in this video I'm going to dive into some of the key things you might have missed as well as some of the key announcements that happened at the event so one of the things that the

### Current transportation issues [0:26]

event started with was the fact that today's Transportation actually sucks to just simply put it bluntly one of the large majority of our time wasters is driving and when we think about what driving is this is something that you know costs too much in terms of like buying a car having a car payment it's one of the reasons most people are living paycheck to paycheck number two is of course the fact that this is purely not safe you know statistically speaking you're actually quite likely to die unfortunately in a car accident more than anything else and of course the third thing is that this is not sustainable having all of these cars everywhere producing emissions it's just something that is quite unsustainable in terms of the climate so Elon Musk actually speaks about this and talks about why Tesla's autonomous vehicles are going to provide a solution to this glaringly obvious problem that in a few years will seem quite strange so when we think about transport today there's a lot of kind of pain that we take for granted that we think is normal um like having to drive around La uh in like 3 hours of traffic um yeah and people that live in LA I mean you know try to get from Pasadena to you know Elsa gundo during rush hour is like you can fly to you know another City faster and you can get to cross town La so and you have to drive the whole way uh unless you're in a Tesla of course now

### Tesla's self-driving capabilities [1:54]

Tesla already uh does quite well at this uh you know supervised self-drive so supervis full self full self-driving is actually working quite well I'm sure there's people in the crowd you you're using that uh yeah so it we'll move from supervised full self- driving to un unsupervised full self driving where the car you could fall asleep and wake up at your destination so uh but there's also a challenge for a lot of people that cars cost too much I mean when you factor in everything that goes into a car and the car insurance the car payments and the storage of the car it's very expensive so with uh you said like how often are what how many hours a week are car is used your average passenger car is only used about 10 hours a week out of 168 hours so the vast majority of the time cars are just doing nothing but if they're autonomous they could be used is I don't know five times more maybe 10 times more so you could actually for the same car would have five times as much value maybe 10 it's there's 168 hours in the week and like I said only 10 of them are use for driving so and then a bunch of those hours are looking for a parking spot which is you know can be pretty annoying at times so we want with autonomy you get your time back this is a very big deal so it's not just a say like it it'll save lives like a lot of lives um and prevent injuries I think we'll see autonomous cars become 10 times safer than a human um I mean you think of times past where there were there used to be an elevator operator in every elevator uh but uh once in a while they get you know they get tired and accidentally show somebody in half uh you know so now we have automated elevators you just get in an elevator and you press a button and you don't even think about it and it just takes you to the floor and if you did see an elevator operator with a big relay switch You' be like that's weird um now that's how cars will be um and it's not just the Liv saved in injuries but if you look at the think about the cumulative time that people spend in a car and the time they will get back that they can now spend well I guess on their phones or or watching a movie or doing work or whatever you want to do um you can think

### Cybercab introduction [4:40]

of the car in autonomous world as being like just a little Lounge you're just sitting in a comfortable little lounge and you can do whatever you want while you're in this comfortable little lounge and when you get out you will be at your destination so yeah it's going to be awesome so now of course with all the pros and cons of these autonomous vehicles in the future there's going to be a variety of ways that Elon Musk is going to solve that problem one of the ways that Elon Musk is going to be solving that problem is of course the Cyber cab this is the most affordable cheapest to operate Robo taxi that is an autonomous vehicle I'll let youas talk about it first and then I'll give you some more details I think the cost of autonomous transport will be so low that you can think of it like individualized mass transit um the like the average cost of a bus per mile for a city um not the ticket price because that is subsidized but the average price is about a dollar a mile whereas the cost of uh cyber cab uh we think probably over time from the operating cost is probably going to be around 20 cents a mile um and price including taxes and everything else probably ends up being 30 or 4 cents a mile can we buy one so yes and you will be able to buy one yes exactly um and uh we expect the cost to be below $30,000 so the Cyber cab being the newly unveiled autonomous vehicle designed to function as a robo taxi has key features so this cyber cab is actually designed for full autonomy it actually lacks traditional controls like steering wheels and pedals and it purely relies on cameras and AI for navigation now crazily the retail price for this is actually under $30,000 making it really competitively priced option in the autonomous vehicle Market I think this is going to be absolutely incredible as we've known that electric vehicle prices have been quite on the decline as of recently now apparently this vehicle will feature Wireless induction charging eliminating the need for plug-in charging stations which is really cool and I think if we're actually just talking about in terms of the design of this vehicle I would love to say that this vehicle just looks really futuristic one of the things I wonder about car manufacturers is why they don't opt for a more sleeker futuristic design and it seems that Elon Musk and Tesla are one of the only companies that are operating in this super futuristic realm now in terms of when you'll be able to get your hands on one of these production is anticipated to begin before 2027 with mass production possibly starting as 20126 so it will be very intriguing to see what happens once this vehicle comes to the market do you think that most people will be using this or do you think most people will stick to their standard of driving considering the fact that this will be cheapest to operate that is going to be something that's going to be incredible now one of the

### Cybercab charging system [7:55]

things that you might have thought about is how on Earth is this vehicle even cleaned and this is what Elon Musk shows us right here something we're also doing is uh and it's really high time we did this is uh inductive charging so the rubber taxi has no plug it just goes over the inductive charger and charges so yeah it's kind of how it should be so with the Cyber cab what we have here is something that is truly f fting we have something that combines elements of both personal vehicle rental and a self-driving Fleet so the Cyber cab because this actually confused me at first is a part of Tesla's vision for a self-driving Fleet which is quite similar to ride hailing services like uber these vehicles are pretty much designed to operate without human drivers relying on just purely cameras and AI for navigation now here's why you might need your vehicle cleaned because Tesla owners have the option to rent out their personal vehicles to the Cyber cab Fleet when they are not in use and this model is inspired by the way that people rent out their homes on Airbnb allowing others to own an income from their vehicles while contributing to the fleet

### Cybercab design and fleet model [9:18]

now the Cyber cab is a purpose filt Robo taxi that surprisingly features no steering wheels or pedals and I can't believe the price of this it's going to be less than $30,000 and interestingly it only has two seats with these butterfly doors that looks super futuristic so overall we have a service that aims to function as both a company owned and a user contributed Network where Tesla operates some Vehicles directly while individual owners can add their cars to the fleet and this dual ownership model allows for flexibility and scalability in the service so this is going to be rather fascinating to see if certain individuals will rent out their Teslas I wonder how that entire integration will work as consumers get to grips with this new kind of reality to where driving is no longer something you do now if you do

### Full Self-Driving data collection [10:14]

want to know exactly how Tesla's full self-driving Works Elon Musk talks about the data collection and how they've managed to get to where they are with Tesla's for self-driving it's got essentially a million lifetimes of driving experience so one of the reasons why the computer can be so much better than a person is that we have millions of cars that are training uh in on driving so it's like living millions of lives simultaneously and seeing very unusual situations that a person in their entire lifetime would not see but hopefully um yeah exactly so it's so with that amount of training data it's obviously going to be much better than what a human could be um because you can't live A Million Lives um and it's also it can see in all directions simultaneously and it doesn't get tired or text or any of those things so uh it will naturally be like I said uh 10 20 30 times safer than a human just um for all those reasons um and I want to emphasize that the solution that we have is AI Envision so there's no um expens of equipment needed so the model 3 and model Y and snx that we make today will be capable of full autonomy unsupervised um and that means that a cost of producing the vehicle is low um now we are going to actually over speec the computer for the Cyber cab uh so our ai5 computer um will be somewhat overspeed and uh because I think there's actually also an opportunity sort of like in Amazon web services where if the car is driving for 50 hours a week There's still over 100 hours left and it there's a potential there to have a massive amount of distributed inference compute where if you've got like say a fleet of 100 million vehicles and a kilowatt of efficient inference compute you have 100 gaw of compute which is really quite substantial um and uh if it's there you might as well use it so um yeah so that's that I think will make sense so Tesla's FSD has become smarter over time I know that they are continually collecting data and I think with the Advent of certain AI systems with the amount of money going into autonomous driving this is going to become increasingly common place as the systems manage to get more robust and manage to handle scenarios in which they haven't been trained on I think this is going to be super fascinating to see real time how Teslas manage to handle certain scenarios and how we beef up the safety of driving I think most people truly don't understand how dangerous driving is which is why most people might not opt for this but driving is truly something that is incredibly dangerous and if this is something that is going to be safer than most drivers that can prevent human error maybe you could

### Robo Van introduction [13:35]

faint at the wheel there could be someone who's drunk or inated that crashes into you at midnight I think this is going to solve a lot of problems now the Tesla cyber cab wasn't the only thing being revealed there was of course the robo van which is designed to operate without a driver lacking traditional controls and a completely autonomous vehicle that operates without a supervisor which is basically a much bigger Robo taxi so this is a personal and Commercial Vehicle used for transporting sports teams like a you know mobile cargo unit I mean there's many different utilities for this Robo van but I'll let Elon Musk take it away because this I think by far is one of the most interesting things with how Elon Musk is growing the company and the kinds of autonomous offerings that he has and I do have to say that once this opens up the interior for this is absolutely outstanding it looks something like out of a futuristic movie and many are calling this the iroot moment for reality if you aren't familiar with that was basically a movie quite a while ago that is eily similar to what we are seeing today so I'll let Elon Musk take it away but this is something that's truly incredible there's a lot of opportunity to create uh

### Robo Van presentation [15:00]

green space in the cities that we live in so I think that would be quite fantastic oh and uh also what what happens if you need a vehicle that uh is bigger than a model y the Roven the Roven is uh this is we we're going to make this and it's going to look like that now can you imagine going down the streets and you see this coming towards you that be sick so this can carry up to 20 people and it can also transport Goods so you can config it for goods transport within a city uh or transport of up to 20 people at a time so this is going to the Roven is what's going to solve for high density so if you want to take a sports team somewhere or um you're looking to really get the cost of travel down to I don't know 51 cents a mile then you can use the Roven some people call it the robo van but uh so yeah um you know one of the things that we want to do and we've seen this with the Cyber truck is we want to change the look of the roads the future should look like the future so Z musk was saying I think this is going to be really cool if you see this coming down the street in the future this can carry up to 20 people which basically replaces you know mini buses in urban environments and of course he estimated that the operating cost of the robo van could be as low as 5 to 10 cents per mile per person although specific pricing details and availability have not been disclosed so this is pretty incredible because this represents a significant step towards autonomous mass transit Solutions I can imagine a future where we have these kinds of Vehicles driving around at all different hours allowing people to travel from certain destinations possibly replacing the need for bus drivers not that bus drivers do crash that often but I do think this is going to be rather fascinating as it's quite futuristic in the sense that we're going to have these autonomous vehicle services that allow for a more robust public system now of course when we

### Tesla Bot (Optimus) update [17:27]

look at robots we have to remember that this is not the only offering that Elon Musk has there's of course the very Infamous Tesla bot which has been getting some sneaky upgrades and that elas gives us a really fascinating update about of robots so everything we've developed for our cars the batteries Power Electronics uh the advanced Motors gearboxes the software the uh the AI inference computer it all actually applies to a humanoid robot so the same techniques it's just a robot with arms and legs instead of a robot with wheels and uh We've made a lot of progress with the Optimus and uh as you can see we started up with someone um in a robot suit uh sort of and then we've progressed dramatically year after year so if you extrapolate this you're really going to have something spectacular something that anyone could own um so you can have your own personal R2D2 C3PO and I think at scale the you know this would cost something like I don't know 20 $330,000 probably less than a car is my prediction long term you know take us a minute to get to the long term but um but fundamentally at scale the Optimus robot you should be able to buy an Optimus robot for I think probably 20 to $30,000 long to so and and what can it do it can it'll be do anything you want so it can um be a teacher babysit your kids it can walk your dog mow your alone get the groceries just be your friend serve drinks um whatever you can think of it will do and yeah it's going to be awesome and I I think this will be the biggest product ever of any kind now because I think everyone of the 8 billion people of Earth I think everyone's going to want their Optimus buddy so the Tesla bot is of course Tesla's version of their humanoid robot we've seen many different companies try and Implement their kind of robots for the humanoid future that many like myself are expecting and I think this is going to be one of the most intriguing products from the future because this is something that there isn't really a accurate prediction on how these will be used I mean some people say that they'll be used for household choice but the thing is that it seems that everyone is going to have their own personal use case for these Tesla humanoids I think it's going to be really fascinating to see how these robots are integrated into society are they integrated into certain workforces will they have certain jobs of factories like Elon Musk is planning at Tesla he's already using some of these to automate some work and just how quickly we are going to get these in the homes because of course these need to be extra EXT ordinarily safe they need to pass certain tests I'm sure there going to be you know a ridiculous amount of regulations for having your own personal humanoid robot so this is going to be something that I would say I am most excited for because the development of this is going to be probably the most fascinating I mean I guess it's basically just like another human and it's going to work essentially so this is something that I struggle to wrap my head around because it does seem ridiculous ully futuristic and often times it doesn't even seem real but this is of course the future of Robotics and AI so it won't be surprising if this happens sooner than we think now for the

### Tesla Bot demonstration [21:40]

Tesla's humanoid robot what we also did get was we did get some demos of the Tesla bot performing certain tasks that it would be once it is fully functional now of course full disclaimer for this video clip I do believe that this example where the Tesla bot is performing certain things such as being able to pour a drink I do believe that this is actually not fully autonomous but partially assisted by teop of course it is quite hard to get a robot to do this on a consistent basis but what they are currently doing is still collecting data so it seems that whilst yes the actual humanoid platform seems robust enough that these tasks can be completed by the humanoid robot platform it seems that we will have to wait a little bit longer before we actually get robots that can do this completely and fully autonomously I know that there have been a few other companies in other countries that I won't mention that are working aggressively on this kind of Technology but it will be fascinating to see how things are shaped and changed as this future does come into fruition and as we do get more data collected and these systems become more advanced so the presentation ends with this future of the world that Elon Musk is envisioning for future societies you can see that it

### Future city vision [23:10]

features a lot more green areas I think having more green areas in cities is most certainly a positive thing the previous trend of complete destruction of Nature and not living in harmony with that nature is one that was quite barbaric and quite reminiscent of the early companies just you know pillaging forests in order to just get natural resources but I think this future the one where we've got like a lot of interactions and of course this Synergy with nature rather than trying to just completely steamroll it is probably going to be the best future for our societies because the environment we only get one of them and it's quite important that we do protect it so it will be interesting to see how Tesla manages to shape and construct its companies around that um so one of the things that like is really interesting is how will this affect this the cities that we live in and when you drive around a city or when the car drives you around a city you'll see there's like there's a lot of parking lots there's parking lots everywhere parking garages uh there and so what would happen if you have an autonomous world is that you can now turn parking lots into parks and uh so from we're taking the in lot out of parking lot so let me know what you guys thought about this entire event what was your most favorite thing from the event did you like the Cyber cab robo van or are you a fan of the humanoid robots I'm definitely excited for the humanoid robots because they seem quite uncanny to me but I do think they are quite fascinating and if you

### Conclusion [24:52]

enjoy this video I'll see you in the next one hey otimus how much of you is AI I can't disclose just how much that's something you'll have to find out later but some or N I would say it might be some I'm not going to confirm but it might be some
