### Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00) []

I went too far, you know. I lost it. — Tyra saying she went too far and she lost it. — Is not her best shot. — I knew it. All these years it came to this moment here. — You have no idea what we have planned for cycle 25. — Cycle 25. Today I'm going to be reviewing episode 3 from the Netflix documentary on America's Next Top Model. I've already reacted to the other two episodes, so if you haven't watched those, I'll have a link in the description. Check those out. And we still have not had a lot of questions answered, but that's okay because who was expect who was expecting their questions to be answered. What do you think? You got the judges to all come on there and answer questions. Come on. But maybe episode 3 is going to surprise us or maybe it's going to disappoint us. Again, I will be speaking from the perspective of a photographer and someone who has spoken to the actual contestants from the show. We've done reaction videos together. Like, I've had the models come on and we reacted to their episode together. So, I have information from them and I have my own theories. I made a bingo card to keep track of everything I think they're going to say in this video. And we've been doing it for the last two episodes and we're so close to getting a bingo. I mean, I almost have this whole section right here filled out. So, will we get bingo this episode? We might. I think so. It's our last chance, you guys. Everyone smiles and get ready for the to see the outcome of this bingo card. Just a disclaimer, everything I say in this video is my own personal opinion and speculation, not fact. — What was the toughest moment for you while filming the show? — Toughest moment? — I mean, this question might take a while. So many possibilities for this answer. — Tiffany, maybe. — Why? Why is the producer giving her suggestions? Tyra can't even think of an answer. Tyra, this should be so easy. You should be like, "Actually, I have a the list. Do you want it by uh model? year? Which year was the tough? Which one? " You should be like, "Hey, how much time do you have? " — That was very tough for me. Yeah. — Was it? What about Tiff? What about for Tiffany? She's the one who had to scream at her. She's like, "That was hard for me. " Who was I yelling at tomorrow? Tiff. Oh, Tiff. Yeah, Tiffany. Which one is she? Yeah. Anyways, my makeup looked great that day. Okay, great. So, the producers are asking questions only to give the answer to those questions to help. They're like, it's like Tyra needs help answering these questions. They don't even give her 20 seconds to just think about what she's done over the years. — Yeah, she just agrees. She's like, "Yeah, let's go with that. Good job. We're a great team, me and you. " Tyra takes us into Tiffany's story by saying, "That girl, that girl was my heart. " She then explains that Tiffany didn't make it into the first year because she got into a fight in a bar. They ended up mentoring her off camera and saying, "We think you would be amazing for the show. " Tyra says, "Let's get you the help you need. " And her team ended up doing that. Tyra goes so far to say that she thought Tiffany was going to win. — The most discussed scene in the history of Top Model. — We were all rooting for you. Everyone I feel like everyone knows that clip. I'm interested to hear Tyra's version of events for this. a teleprompter. — Christian Laqua. — Oh, I hated this challenge. Now I'm remembering you guys. I have the worst memory ever. They had the girls do a teleprompter challenge before this judging. Okay, now you're thinking, "Okay, they have to read from a teleprompter. " No problem. Wait till you see what they had to read. Okay, look at this. It's like they purposely made it hard by picking difficult words for the girls. Even for someone who has good reading skills, this would still be difficult. D Van Noten, that's not even Inglet. Isn't that Dutch? They put say Miyaki. They put Hermes or what I like to call Hermes in there. But that's it's they're not even English words. They're not just everyday conversation words. It's random words to make the girls mess up. — I don't know that word. — None of you girls can read. — And then Janice says, "None of you girls can read French and Dutch. " It was a setup to fail. Absolutely. They wanted the girls to look like fools. I paused it on the screen so we can take a look at what this says in its entirety. Hi, first name here with ENTM TV. It's fashion week in Paris and Technicolor is the name of the game. Can you say magenta, chartreuse, solid gold, and shocking pink and vivid? Vibrant colors aren't the only story here. D Van Notton and her and Hermes are all making a big splish splash. And these dearing designers aren't shy about mixing and matching Spotty Leopard. That was pain. That was painful for me. And trust me, I've read a lot. I've played Ace Attorney. Most of that game is reading. — The name of the game. Can you I can't do this. — They were expecting her to continue to humiliate herself in front of them. And on television, too. — I just wanted to change this woman's

### Segment 2 (05:00 - 10:00) [5:00]

life. You're going to change her life by making her say chartreuse and lacroscy. I don't even I still don't know which one it is. Which one? Laqua. It could be all three of those. And Hermes. I know it's Hermes, by the way, but I don't I like Hermes better. I think that's cuter. — Go through it. Just have fun with it. Use your personality. Be you. — Tyra cuts in to say, "The other girls did not know these words. They goofed the words. Just try it. Be you. " Tiffany says, "I don't know. " to which Tyra responds, "If you don't do this, you're going to go home. " And I — If home. Feels a little bit like a threat. like, "If you don't do this, get ready for You're not even going to be economy. We're going to get you a bus home, Tiffany. " Tyra says that she was mentoring Tiffany off camera because she didn't make it the first time and trying. She's thought that she would be great for the show, but then she's ready to let her go and tell her she's going to send her home if she doesn't do a little teleprompter challenge. That doesn't make sense to me. — I saw her just not believing in herself and just giving up. — No, you saw her standing up for herself. They don't like when the girls speak out, have an opinion, or not agree to go along with these little challenges they're making them do. Even if it has nothing to do with modeling, they are the puppet masters. When they say dance, you dance. If you're not going to go along with that, that's going to be a problem. They see one girl standing up for herself, it's going to inspire the rest of the girls to stand up for themselves. You know that clip where it's like, if one ant stands up to us, then all of them are going to stand up to us. — You let one ant stand up to us, then they all might stand up. — And they're going to realize that the ants are more powerful together, standing up for each other. And I just saw all that going down the drain. — Or did you see her willingness to comply go down the drain? I think that's more like it. Speaking out, excuse me. Tyra knew that Tiffany was slipping from her grasp. — This is humiliating. — Tiffany says herself, "This is so humiliating. " And then Tyra is looking pissed. She'd rather say goodbye to it before it says goodbye to her. No, she's saying goodbye to you guys, humiliating her. Tyra is pissed. You can tell. And then Nigel says they need a wakeup call. And when he says they, he means the models. What did I tell you guys? If there the models are going to start standing up for themselves and not do these humiliating challenges, then that's bad for the for this show, for the entire show. So, they definitely don't want the girls to think, "Hey, you have a say in this. " You they just got to think you got to do it or you go home. — Both of you will pack your bags. She sent two girls home. — During judging, Tyra pulls out a photo that's completely blank. She says, "We're sending both of you girls home. " One of the girls happens to be Tiffany. In my opinion, they were sending a message. If you don't comply, you're going home. These are the consequences. — Tyra really wanted people to take it seriously. — Tyra wanted people to fall in line and don't question anything. This was more of sending a message than it was caring about Tiffany. In my opinion, it was that to me makes more sense. — She's feeling that Tiffany's mocking this. — You guys were trying to mock the girls. Did you see what they were trying to have the girls read? None of that was serious to me. — And you go over there and you joke and you laugh. — Isn't that what the judges were doing while the girls were messing up reading this? The teleprompter. Tyra's always They're always projecting. I swear they're always projecting. They're like, "And you want to sit and you want to laugh like we just were while you guys were reading the teleprompter of the random words in French and Dutch and all the German. " There was a German word in there, too, just for fun. I just thought I would add that in there. But how dare you not take this seriously, Tiffany? Don't you know who wrote that? The teleprompter script? Shakespeare. Do you know who that is? — You were sick of being disappointed. You would stand up and you would take control of your — She You know what's so ironic about this? Tyra's like, "If you were sick of it, you would stand up and you would take control of your destiny. " She literally stood up for herself. And now she's being eliminated for it. The irony of it all. Okay. All right, Tyra. Sure. — And didn't make it. And then we, you know, worked with her to get her here. — And yet, you let her go because she didn't want to do a teleprompter challenge. I believe Tyra thought that Tiffany would feel like she owes her something and would be more compliant in this competition because she didn't make it the first time and now thanks to Tyra, she made it in the second on her second try and now she's on the show. But it is kind of like thanks to Tyra. So I feel like Tyra thought, "Oh, she's going to owe me one and she's going to do whatever I want and not talk back and not question anything. " And yet Tiffany's like, "I don't think so. " Look at the judges. Look at them. Nigel looks like he's trying to not laugh. Jennis is like, "That's right. You didn't want to say Lacroy. " That's what happens. Goodbye, Tiffany. — Be quiet to everybody. Be quiet. — Be quiet. Don't question us.

### Segment 3 (10:00 - 15:00) [10:00]

— Tyra really scared all of us. Like, we literally jumped out of our seats — as they show him in his seat when that happened. My theory on why Tyra was so angry is because she spent all this time trying to mentor Tiffany. In other words, trying to get her to be moldable enough to do what they wanted for the show. And that didn't work. All the year or however long they mentored her for, it didn't matter. All down the drain. Because Tiffany was like, I have my own thoughts and opinions and it doesn't matter if you got me on the show. I don't owe you anything. Tiffany was kind of like, you don't owe me anything. But in Tyra's mind, it was like, okay, no, she owes me something because I mentored her and I did this for her. That's just that's what I think. So yeah, she's probably pissed because she spent all this time on someone investing in her and she's it's like she's not going with what Tyra wants and Tyra's mad about that. — It was definitely the most difficult moment on set I had ever experienced. — I have other moments too if you want to go through them, Mr. J. When you were rude to some of the models. No. So that was the most difficult moment that Mr. Jay has ever experienced, which just so happens to be also the most difficult moment that Tyra has experienced on the show. I love Tiffany. She's like, "Gotta go. Okay, my Uber's here. Thanks, Ty. It was nice to meet you. " I love that throughout all of this, Rebecca is just there like, "Okay, she had to stand. " How? She had to be there like, "Okay, can I stay? She's going home anyways. I could stay. Tiffany doesn't want to be here. " Tyra, I do. I'll read the teleprompter again, please. — Literally just like took Ty — Tyra's like this. I can't do this. If I would be laughing if I were here. I tried so hard not to laugh if I were involved in this. I'd be like, "Okay, do you want me to write more copy for the teleprompter? Are we doing that again? " What about turquoise? Some people can't say that. Tyra, do you want me to add that in there? — She went off and Tyra never. — Is he holding Is he holding a dog with a collar? That is so cute. If you think you're gonna be free of criticism because you're holding a very adorable dog in an outfit, that actually might work. That might work. — Tyra must have really saw herself in that girl. — You guys thought, Come on. Tyra did not see herself in Tiffany. She wanted to see how much she's going to make a fool of herself. We're supposed to be judging this off of the photo shoots, right? Being a good model. But her going home had nothing to do with her not being a good model. That's why I don't think it's fair how she was treated by Tyra. But this just it feels like an overkill of a reaction to her not wanting to do a silly teleprompter challenge with French words. — I went too far. You know, I lost it. — Tyra is saying she went too far and she lost it. Okay, I respect I listen. I respect that she's is admitting that. Tyra goes on to describe this explosive moment that it was about friends, family, society, black girls, all the challenges we have. She says, "That's some black girl stuff that goes real deep inside of me, but I know I went too far. " She says twice, "She thinks she went too far. " I do like that Tyra has said this. I think this is a some kind of accountability. We don't get that a lot. I hope that she apologized to Tiffany in some way at some point, but I don't know if she did. — A lot more that was really said, and some of the things that were said were really not well-intentioned. — But then he doesn't tell us what those things are. He's like, "Matt, I wish you guys knew. I wish I did too, Mr. J. — He'll probably never repeat the lines that were actually said in that room that day. — He wants us to know that things were said, but won't tell us what things were said. Okay. Do you know someone who will? Do you know anyone else? There was a whole production. Do you have a name? You want to get a number? — All I know is the next week we had all the lawyers on set. — Lawyers? Lawyers for what? What happened? It's like this situation. If only you knew what happened to me today. It was crazy. Oh, what happened to you? Man, it was insane. You won't believe the things that were said. You want to tell me what happened? Is everything okay? I just I can't repeat it. Okay. All right. But you have to know that I didn't appreciate what was said to me. — Okay. That's all right. That's okay. You don't have to tell me. — Well, actually, well, just know that they were not well-intentioned. Tiffany mentions in an interview that when people asked her about the situation with Tyra, they were saying like, "Oh, is it it's probably because she loved you. " And Tiffany says that was Bull. If you love someone, you won't humiliate them. The word humiliate was used again. Remember Tiffany said that after the teleprompter challenge? She's like, "This is so humiliating. " So that again, that's what they want the models to feel. Humiliated. — We're supposed to be showing the behind the scenes of what the fashion — How many times has he said this? If this was on my bingo card by itself, we could have gotten bingo just from the fashion behind the scenes. We were showing the

### Segment 4 (15:00 - 20:00) [15:00]

behind the scenes. The fashion world. This was the fashion world. The Are you guys tired of saying fashion and worlds? We live on planet Earth, Mr. J. Start with the behind the scenes of Earth, the the fashion earth. And then he says, "We were supposed to be changing the industry. " Very conflicting statements. One minute it's we're supposed to be changing the industry. The next minute, but that's just how the industry was. That's the world we live in. You guys want to pick a side? Now we're getting into the photo shoot side of things with Mr. J. There was this version of me on this show, which was me, but not really me. — Is this his way of getting out of the responsibility for some of the things that were done on the show? Is he saying, "Hey, look, this was just a character I played cuz that's not a defense, you know, right? — We need to keep it entertaining. people watching. " — Tyro told Mr. J, we need to keep people watching. And that's exactly what they did. Then they panned to the photo shoot they had the models do on the stereotypes. Some of those stereotypes were drugaddicted model, bimic model, just some of the things they had these girls pose for. — I didn't like what you did to these girls. This scene was not cool. — I hope he's not going to give us a vague answer for this. — Of course, there were gobsmack moments where you — Oh my god. Goback. There were gobsmack moments. He doesn't want to tell us anything. He's not getting into specifics and he's not answering these questions. He's really not. That's so annoying. Hey, there was a moment where okay, a model was crying and I felt bad. It's not that hard. Well, it's not hard, Mr. J. It's basic. It's basic empathy. Well, I can think of moments where I was like, I wish they would have stopped it or I felt bad. Me as a viewer. So aggravating. I should have had gobsmacked on the bingo card. Gobs back moments. No. And I don't feel like we're going to get another bingo. — Okay. Like, but it was certainly not my Mr. J. Well, this should be such an easy answer, Mr. J. There's so many moments. So many. But Mr. J says, "But it was certainly not my place to, you know, I would never you would never answer a question in this documentary. " — Tell them. I'm like, "Oh, you should have never and that. " — Why not? Why don't you want to show that you cared about these girls, the models that you worked with on the show for so many years? just it's so strange that he it's like he removed himself from that. Maybe he saw what happened to Tiffany and he's like I'm not taking any chances. — I I would never. — Why is he stuttering answering this? I'm Am I I'm very I'm just very confused why he's struggling to answer this. You were with these models day in day out for photo shoots, challenges, everything. It's like why is this such a hard question for him? — And kind of chipping away at my soul. Then it cuts to him saying, "So, it was time to tell Tyra that I wanted to leave the show. " So, he doesn't answer the question. And then he's like, "And then I wanted to leave the show. Do you want to leave an honest answer for us in the room? " It's kind of funny at this point how he's dodging these questions left and right. I'm like, "Okay, are you not going to answer the question the producer asked? These poor producers, whoever is whoever was making this documentary, God bless them. " They probably were sitting there like, "God damn it. Another question not answered. " Okay, Mr. J, thanks for coming in. This could have been an email, Mr. J. — And I was afraid of saying the wrong thing. — Mhm. Like this doc like in this documentary. Maybe Mr. J is afraid of saying certain things because Tyra is in this documentary. And we know what happens when you stand up for yourself. Example, Tiffany Jay Alexander talks about his relationship with Tyra, saying that they didn't have a traditional working relationship. He says they were working in close proximity with each other, traveling together. And he said it became like a relationship. — And I definitely did not want to make her upset. — Maybe in a way Mr. J feels like, okay, I owe Tyra something because she chose me for this and now it's a super popular show and it's so successful. Who knows the thought process there? But I'm just saying maybe that's something that he considered, right? He's like, "Okay, she's my friend. She chose me to be part of this. May I don't want to let her down. upset her. — I tortured myself over the decision. It did not come lightly. — He says, "I didn't discuss it with anyone. Miss Jay, like nobody knew. " So, he was going to quit and no one knew about it. Miss Jay appears and says that Mr. J is very secretive and he keeps everything to his chest. What's coming? What is coming? Right? I'm like, is there going to be a secret? And then it cuts to Mr. J saying that him and Tyra made a pact in cycle 3 or four. When it comes to anything important, let's always promise each other we'll come to each other first. He says, "So I knew I had to tell her first. " — So I sent her the email. — An email? When I said this could have been an email, I didn't mean like this. Listen, even I know he messed up by sending an email. He could have called her, but maybe he didn't want it to be like a big blowup. Maybe he saw what happened to Tiffany.

### Segment 5 (20:00 - 25:00) [20:00]

He's like, "That can't be me. I am not reading from a teleprompter. " Chartreuse. Splishplash. Lacroy, I don't even like that drink. Maybe he learned from the past. So, he sent he sends Tyra this email basically saying, "I'm leaving the show and he's expressing his gratitude for the opportunities and all this. " And he says, "But also, I was trying to kind of move on in my own life and career. " Do you guys think the email was a good move? Would you email Tyra Banks saying that you're quitting her show or would you text her? Would you call her? Leave your thoughts in the comments. — She didn't respond. — [snorts] Damn, that's cold. I would have I don't know why I was thinking I would have left the country. Her not responding. She was writing in that burn book. I can't believe she was like, I can't believe him. So then, did he not technically quit if she didn't respond to it? She's like, no, no. See you on Monday. We're doing another race swapping photo shoot. Okay, this time three ethnicities — and she ultimately wrote back just three words. — Three words. Tyra waits three days and then responds back to Mr. J with three words. I'm going to try to guess the three words. My first thought was I love you cuz that's three words, but she's probably not going to say that. Okay, that's fine. Who is this? She's going to say, "Who is this? " or "I don't care. " — I am disappointed. — I was close. So, is she done with him after this? Is it like, "Okay, we're never speaking again. " — It should have been the opportunity to have a heartto-he heart, but that did not happen. — Oh my god. All because of the email. I think that's too dramatic. I don't get it. He gave her the courtesy of writing an email, and he said that he expressed gratitude for the opportunity, all that stuff. All communication just stopped. — He got ghosted by Tyra after that. It seems like he says they stopped communication altogether. Maybe he knew that if he tried to quit in person, Tyra wouldn't let him or it was going to be too difficult. So Mr. J says that he took a vacation to St. Lucia. — Reception came with an urgent note from — attorney. No, she didn't ruin his vacation by threatening to sue him. His the second I saw attorney, I'm like, "No, is she suing him? " His attorney tells him, "This is an ask coming through business affairs. " They said, "We just need a little bit more time. " Then they say, "Can you just do one more cycle for us? " Cycle 9. — You know, people talk about being blacklisted. — Those words were not used. — Did they blacklist him cuz he's saying that he wants to quit after eight seasons? — But I had suspected that that's what it would turn into. — So, Mr. J kind of implies that he would be blacklisted allegedly if he didn't do like do the next cycle 9. He says that's not the word that they use. They didn't use the word blacklist, but he's like that's what it would turn into. Like he thought, wow, the tactics are strong. Mr. Jay was a judge for so many seasons. He's best friends with Tyra and this is how he's being treated after he's trying to leave. That's crazy. Mr. J's then like I didn't even know who I could talk to in that moment cuz the person I always go to talk to was Tyra. Then he says, "Okay, maybe one more season couldn't be so bad. " Then it cuts to cycle 9. — That was the first time I really realized there's a real problem. She wouldn't speak with me. — They're supposed to be best friends. They started the show together. What happened? I mean, she can't possibly be that mad because he wanted to leave. It's not like he's saying, "I don't want to be friends with you. " He's just saying, "Okay, I did eight seasons. I want to do something else. " Which is very fair. — Hey, Tyra. Like, hey, I just wanted to real quick. — Seems like overkill, right? Why is she acting like that? What's going on? He says, "I hadn't spoken to Tyra. I was extremely nervous. " Oh my god. — What do you think, Jenny? think about her? — She's I love her. — Watching this back, knowing the real context is very It's interesting. And you can tell he's very caught off guard by this. He was not expecting her to talk to him. Now knowing that Tyra was ignoring Mr. J right before this just changes everything, right? It's like you watch the watch it with a different uh point of view. — Uh oh. Who's the [ __ ] That's what we want to know. — Mr. Jay was trying his hardest here. He's like, don't make Tyra more upset. She should be happy that he's here. I don't get why she's upset. Maybe she's upset because this is the formula for the show. This is why it's successful, right? The two J's. So, changing things up. Cycle 9 might not go over well with the viewers. So, maybe she was scared like, oh, if Mr. Jay leaves, it won't be as successful. So, maybe from that point

### Segment 6 (25:00 - 30:00) [25:00]

of view, she's thinking, oh, he's going to ruin my show, so he has to stay. — I was not allowed to speak with her outside of that. — What? So, he the cameras rolling. You got to confront them with their own tactics. That's what you have to do. So, I'm gonna wait till the cameras are rolling and then I'm gonna confront and be like, "Okay, now that the cameras are filming this, Tyra, I have to ask you something. Why are you ignoring me? " Okay, what's going on, Tyra? You didn't respond to my email. I was in St. Lucia and then my attorney said this and are you getting me blacklisted? What's going on? That's when you strike. You got to do it when they least expect it. — But I had no idea that it was that role. The first half of this episode seems like it's leaning into Mr. Jay's uh dep almost departure from the show and his relationship with Tyra. We're not hearing from any of the models on the show, so we have definitely switched gears. Now, this is more focused on the judge's relationship with each other. — I was still trying to process what was going on. — I would have confronted her right there. Hi, Tyra. Okay, great. What happened between us? Why are you not answering me anymore? Why did you ghost me? You just got to do it right then and there. If that's the only way I'm gonna get answers, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna do whatever it takes. It was inevitable at some point that the judges are going to leave the show. They're not going to stay forever. — It was like psychological torture. I I — If Mystery Jay, her best friend, is describing this as psychological torture, think about how the models must have felt dealing with what they had to go through on the show. He He's being treated like this and he's supposed to be her best friend and she's ignoring him on the cycle that she made him come back for. — Can we talk now about what happened with you? — Yeah, talk you and Mr. J. She's not gonna I know she's not going to answer you. Come on. That's messed up. She says nah no. Not even no nah. The fact that the producer has to ask, can we talk about this? this is supposed to be a documentary. And the smile on her face and why is she smiling like that when she's answering it. She's like, "No, give her chair to someone else that's going to say something. " She literally straight up was like, "No, not talking about. " But it's relevant to the documentary. It's about America's Next Top Model. You guys have no problem airing out all the girls uh problems and personal life and their family drama, everything, and exploiting that. But when it comes to your relationship with Mr. Jay, another judge from the show. That's where you draw the line. You're like, "No, why didn't the girls on the show get a chance to say no? " The way Tyrie responded to that was very offputting. — I prefer I Yeah, I should call Jay. I don't want to do this here. — Yeah. — Oh, yeah. Okay. So, she doesn't want to do this here. She's like, "It's now is not the time. What other time is there? " And then she says, "I should call Jay. " Have you not called him all these years? What's Have you ghosted him since his trip to St. Lucia? She's like, I haven't gotten back to that email since. — Yeah, but he's a special man. — She's like, "You better turn that camera off. " stop asking me questions about Mr. J. Thank you. I did not agree to this. " Okay, but I do want to talk about the ratings for the show. — I was now just on camera talent. — Mr. J says that his position on the show had changed. he was no longer a producing creative and they would tell him where to stand, what to say, and he would just do his job. He says the only thing he was responsible for producing was the final runaway. — There were definite photos selected that we felt we were like, "Wait, what? " — I always thought that and I knew that they weren't picking the girl's best photos. They reference a photo shoot with Fatima where she was posing like this and she had uh hair on her armpits and then it they and then they confront her saying, "Oh, why didn't you shave? " And then Nigel says, "Oh, you know, retouching is really expensive. " And yeah, they retouch the entire picture but left in the hair. Like, if you're going to complain about it, why not just retouch that, too, since you're retouching the rest of the image. Like, you purposely kept that in so you can criticize her during panel. So that's when I knew something's going on here. — Ken and his team and Tyra, they knew what they were doing. — And what were they doing, Mr. J? — We need them to go forward at least a couple more episodes. — So they knew which girls they wanted to push forward a few episodes and which ones were not going to make it very far. Mr. J then says if some girls were not performing well during a shoot, he would be pulled to the side and someone would tell him, "Okay, this person, we have a story. Someone is telling Mr. J get us there when it comes to making sure one of the models goes forward a few episodes or not. If the girls have a story line, they're going to continue that story line. If the story line's

### Segment 7 (30:00 - 35:00) [30:00]

done, then they're going to be let go. — They didn't always choose our best picture. — That's what I thought from the beginning. — Initially, they were really trying to pull the best shots, but as — initially initially, Mr. J says, "At first it started out, okay, we want to pick the best pictures of these girls, and then it turned into we need a better story out of these shots. We now get into the photo selection on America's Next Top Model," which I always had a strong theory about. I always believed that they were choosing the worst photo if they wanted to send a girl home. Like, if the if her time was up, like the story line ran out, she's got to go. — When a girl is eliminated, another shot was selected. So then they were picking the worst photos to send her home. It — was not her best shot. — I knew it. All these years of making videos in my room, it came to this moment here. One of my theories, I think, was just confirmed by Mr. J. It's been a long time. — There was a better shot. — He says the fact that he's admitting this. How many years did I sit in this room and say that they're picking bad purposely bad photos? So, I guess it is true, right? So, can we say it's true now that Mr. J's he's confirming it? — Because for these girls, this is their life. It's kind of sad to make these girls who are aspiring models think that they are not good models and they're not cut out to be a model by choosing purposely bad photos of them when in reality they have a way better photo. But they will never know that. The models probably see that and think, "Oh, I'm not cut out for this. " And some of them probably stop modeling cuz they're like, "Oh, I I'll never be a good model. My pictures weren't good. " It feels wrong to make someone who is aspiring to do something like they have a dream to think that they weren't capable of this dream like they had no chance when they really did. — Did we always get it right? I don't think so. No. I think sometimes we eliminated the wrong person. — Give us an example. Who was it that you felt like was wrongly eliminated? That's what I want to know in this documentary. I need names. I need timestamps. I need receipts. Dion tells us that when she was eliminated, she was so shocked. She became numb and she couldn't even move. — Maybe we could have done a better job to let them know that not everybody's going to be a star. — I have a list of other things you could have done a better job at, Tyra. You want to Do you have time? Do you have a moment? Is now the right time and place for this? She's going to be like, "It's not the right time. Not here. Not right now. But I will call Jay. He's a special person. " Okay. Did he have a fun time in St. Lucia? Did he enjoy that trip? — Exiting the model apartment, the production assistant took you to a hotel room. — Then they talk about how after you're eliminated, you're filmed packing your bags and then you leave with production to a hotel room. You don't go home. — There wasn't a phone available to call anybody at that time. — So, after Tiffany got screamed at by Tyra, the production took her to a hotel room where she probably just sat there by herself. That would be a very long stay at the hotel for me if that just happened to me. Like Tyrus screamed at me in front of everyone. Oh man, that would be mentally that would be emotionally difficult for me by myself to deal with. — They were just kind of left eliminated. It was just awful. — So they would go from being eliminated straight to a hotel room by themselves. I — felt sorry for them, but I just know that it's Doggy Dog World. It's a show, but it's a reality show. They frame it also as this is the way of the world. It's just how things are. But it's a controlled environment for TV. You could have made rules that allowed them to speak to have company or something without breaking confidentiality. Surely there was another way to do this. I couldn't use any of the photos from America's Next Top Model in my — and me and Kenya talked about this that her photo some of her photos were unusable in the real world of modeling. She couldn't use them in her actual modeling portfolio and that's something that is very common for the girls on this show. I've worked with many agencies and many models and I know what looks will make it into a book. They really want more simple things and a lot of the stuff on America's Next Top Model is not simple. Not every photo shoot a model does has to be for the portfolio, though. A lot of models like to do just creative photo shoots. They want to do something different. It doesn't always have to just go in the model book. So, I do like the fact that America's Next Top Model was very creative in their photo shoot concepts. They tried different things, and that's what the show should be doing. They should have like a mix of that. More often than not, they had the girls doing some outrageous photo shoots that were just not usable and didn't benefit them at all. to take a stab at, you know, trying to get signed to an agency. — Dion looks so good here. Oh my god, that jacket with this hair and the earrings.

### Segment 8 (35:00 - 40:00) [35:00]

You look fabulous, Dion. Wow. — There was a stigma to being part of a reality series. — From speaking to models on the show, some of them did well after the show ended, but a lot of them, they found it hard to be signed to agencies after the fact because they were associated with America's Next Top Model. It's important to note that some models had a good experience being on America's Next Top Model and it wasn't indicative of everyone's experience. Now they're talking about influencers and how things have changed and now everyone's a supermodel and now they're panning and zooming into people's Instagram account followers. That's what they're that's this portion of the documentary. — Out the gatekeepers that used to be in place. — Mr. J says you take control of your own narrative today, but at that time it was absolutely not something that you did. Yeah. America's Next Top Model was going to do that for you. Just like they did with Kenya and they did with Jenna all these other models. They chose their story for you and that was your story. You didn't have a say back then. They could make up and splice together stuff, make you look like you're eating one bagel seven times. They can do that today. Well, they could, but then you can make an Instagram story about it. — We opened the door. We slammed it wide open. — So Tyra says, "We slammed it wide open. " That the door of success for many models on the show. Tyra finally comes through with the examples, naming people like Isis, Eva, — Whitney, our first plus-size. Hate the word curve. — Tyra won't even say plus-size anymore. This is But it's because of 2020, you guys. It's because of 2020. — And they didn't even have a plus division. Whitney, the winner of Cycle 10, tells us that after she won and she was signed to Elite Model Management. They didn't even have a plus-siz division. — Those cameras shut down on Top Model, and they just threw me to the wolves. — Wow. Danielle was one of the winners from America's Next Top Model. Remember, she had to close her gap in order to stay in this competition. She did that. She won. And then she said after they shut the cameras down, they just threw her to the wolves. — It was kind of like I was the redhead stepchild. Danielle says that she was called by forward modeling agency to come in and she says the energy at the agency was very off-putting — or better yet the black sheep like why are you here? — She says it was cold. It was like a cold interaction and she went back to the model apartment and never got any castings. She said they she just stayed there for months. Danielle lived in a model apartment with another model named Chanel Iman and they had the same agency. Chanel Iman goes to the agency, comes back and tells Danielle that, "Hey, I asked our agent why you're not getting any castings. " And what do they tell her? — She said to me, "Well, we have to treat Danny differently because she came from Top Model. " — She says that Top Model was one of the reasons. Wait, hold on. This counts in the bingo card. It launched my career versus it ruined my career. We're going to cross that off. Wow. That's bingo. We did it, guys. We did it. I knew. You know what? No, I always knew we were going to get it. Come on. Good for us, guys. We did it. We got our first bingo. The show promised so much. Like, you're going to have this career. You're going to be this top model. And yeah, some of the girls are finding it hard to navigate the world as a professional model after the show has ended. I've actually worked with Ford. I think it's a great agency. So, I'm not really sure the thought process behind that. Can't really speculate on that. No one wanted to book me for their shows because I was viewed as like this reality star. — Okay. That So, this is what I've heard from some of the models from the show. And now we're hearing Danny. She said that she didn't book any shows and was being viewed as a reality star. She's the winner of her cycle and she's going through this. Imagine other girls on the show. They were always telling the girls, "If you don't do this, you're not going to work. be a professional model. you're not going to make it in the industry. But in reality, the show itself was the reason that they're not going to make it in the industry. — Attention, if you will, off of their collection and on to myself. — She explains that designers didn't want her walking in their show and then her taking the attention off of the clothes because she's recognizable. She was the winner of her cycle. Tyra has a conversation with Danielle years later and what does she tell her? She's like, "I knew that there were certain doors that you couldn't even get into because you did top model. " — Remember, Tyra tells us that the agency didn't want to sign Danielle unless she got her gap closed. Remember, they're like, "She's not going to get any work. " Fast forward to Danielle closing her gap and winning her cycle. And Danielle's telling us she can't get any work. Isn't that crazy to think about Tyra telling her, "If you don't do this, we're going to eliminate you. You're never going to make it. " But even when she did win the cycle and do what Tyra wanted, it still it's like those promises were not fulfilled. It still didn't work out. — And I did nothing about it.

### Segment 9 (40:00 - 45:00) [40:00]

— You think if they asked Tyra about this conversation they had that she's going to admit to it? No. The only way we're hearing the truth, the real truth, is through the models and them telling us what Tyra told them, which I believe. I 100% believe this. Tyra admits she did nothing about it. She knew it's going to be harder for them, but it was for the show. That's what Tyra cares about. — Respectfully, Tyra, you have noing idea how painful it has been for me. — You think Tyra is going to sit in this documentary and say, "Yeah, what I told Danny was that it's because she was in Top Model, she's not going to be able to do this job. " And, you know, she's not going to say that. So, we have to again, we have to hear about this from the models on the show. — I knew you were struggling and I did nothing about it. I wonder why she admitted to Danny over the phone. Did she think Danny's not going to say anything all these years? She's like, "No one's going to ever hear this. Let me tell the truth for once. " Never. Danny's never going to repeat this. And then Danny gets on this documentary. Surprise, surprise. Danielle tells us that it was really hard for her to hear Tyra as a black woman tell her over the phone that I knew you were struggling and I did nothing about it. — But don't see me in my suffering and just walk past me. — Remember, Tyra thought it was necessary for Danny to get her gap closed. okay to do this procedure that Danny didn't want to do in order for her to be a successful mana and for the agents to accept her. And now we're hearing that really had no it made no difference in the end because she knew that it was the doors were going to be closed. — She was asking me about what happened in Milan and I told her I'd never seen it. — Later on, Chandi is invited to Tyra's talk show where Tyra proceeds to ask her about what happened in Milan. Shandi says that she'd never seen it. She said, "It brought up too many things and I can't watch the show anymore. So, what does Tyra do? " — And then she just puts it on the screen in front of me. — You're not These girls are not even safe after they leave the show. It's like Tyra brings them on to revisit their trauma a second time. — I'm going to roll a little clip that a lot of us remember. Okay. Tell us, tell us uh who set that clip up. Tyra, it was not enough just on America's Next Time Model. Tyra's like, I have to milk this, too. Yeah, it's important for me to support these girls. Okay, roll the clip that she just told me she didn't she never watched because she can't watch the show. So, let's watch it on my show, Ty the Tyra show. And they have a replay of her reaction as she's watching this. No consideration, no care, nothing. Tyra saw the ratings for the show and she wants those ratings on her show. What an awful thing to do. I wonder if the producers of this documentary asked Tyra about this. What? First of all, why would she play this clip as a memorable moment? Remember that clip that we all remember? It's a fun little clip. Why would It's like why would she play this on the talk show? For what re like what's the reason? What's the conversation like? How was your time in Malone? Okay, roll the clip of her in the bathtub. This is evil stuff. I'm gonna keep saying evil because that's what this is. — You weren't watching that. I looking down. How come you can't watch that? — I just can't do it. — Tyra, take a hint, dude. Tyra herself notices that she's not watching it. She's closing her eyes looking down — and I don't look at it. She's like, I noticed you weren't looking. — You're closing your eyes, Sandy. That's not acceptable here. You cannot release yourself from the claws of Tyra. Instead of saying, "Hey, she's looking down. Let's stop it. Are you okay? " She's like, "What's You're not watching it. What's wrong? Let's replay it. Keep Let's hold her eyes open. Just hold your eyes open, Tyra, at this point. " This is You know, in Saw how they I hate even referencing Saw, but they have there's like one I was going to say challenge, but they it definitely was not a challenge in Saw, but it's a what is it a trap or something where their eyes are like open or something? That's what Ty T T T T Did you want that? Tyra need a jigsaw to come in here and make sure that they watched this. Everyone in the audience, he's like, — "Okay, we're going to play a game. Everyone, you have 1 minute to fully watch this clip of Chandi in a hot tub that she told us she she's traumatized by this. " Okay. And your time starts now. — Really? It brings back like all the old stuff. Oh, yeah. — Yeah. It's human emotion. Tyra, do you have any of that? She's like, "Does it bring back the old stuff? I'm like, I literally told you behind the scenes, "Oh, I've never seen it. I don't want to see it. Don't show it. " — Shandandy tells us that she told Tyra behind the scenes that she didn't want to see it. watch it. And Tyra did not respect that at all. — That was miserable. Her behavior doesn't didn't change. — It never did. Honestly, I just feel like Tyra is stuck in her reality TV mode. People were saying she has this TV voice

### Segment 10 (45:00 - 50:00) [45:00]

like and Survivor and uh Fear Factor and you guys wanted it. Like she talks like she's trying to get what is it? Not Aura Farm. She talks like she's going to have like her own sound bite for the documentary. And she did. She talks like she's being filmed for an episode of America's Next Top Model. But all but always. It never It's She's not like, "Oh, how how's it like, you know, was Hi guys. Today it's like she has that persona and I think that persona took over and never left. — Are you still with your boyfriend? — No, I'm single now. You're single. — Yeah. Why did you guys break up? — Because of you, Tyra. Tell her because of you. Thank you so much. She has her hand on Chandi's arm. She's like this. It's like this. She's like, "Is this how you guys do it? Emotion and caring about people. " Wow. So that happened to you. Okay. And now a word from our sponsor as we cut to a commercial break. That's literally Tyra. It's like Okay. Thank you. Next. Who's the next one? Tiffany. Okay. Now we're going to have you read from a teleprompter for the show in German. Okay. Donisha. Okay. — Somebody recognize me and call me a [ __ ] to my face. Cheating [ __ ] Eric standing right next to me. — I think that's a disgusting thing to say to her. I'm sorry. Like I don't agree with those comments. I really don't. We have a team of people behind the scenes like Kenmach, Tyra Banks. I mean, look at what they're telling us that the viewers wanted more and more. It's like the only thing that mattered was the ratings and creating shock factor and the story, pushing the story and these narratives on certain girls. Mr. J even tells us that they kept certain girls so that they can complete their storyline or something. It's like, oh, we knew that this person is only going to last this amount of episodes or we had to get rid of her at this episode. So it ju just keep that in mind like they set you have to remember they set these environments up. These girls were exploited. They these people knew their family history. They knew that some of them come from broken homes. Some of them don't have family support. And I feel like they took advantage of that. — It made me hate myself. — Shandi says that her and Eric tried to make it work after the show. He moved to her. He moved to New York with her. But she says it would suck when I'd be walking with Eric down the street and people would be yelling things at her. — Were you the one that went where was on that modeling thing? — Oh, still working at Walgreens. — Shandi says that a lot of the girls thought that they were going to be in a top modeling agency, that they were going to have a new career, but that was not the case. And it shows her still working at Walgreens. — I was getting a phone call from the network every day saying they need to talk to me. So then they talk about the change of network president. The former UPM president was replaced by a new one. And Tyra says that the president kept calling her every day and she was basically putting it off. — My assistant would be telling me this. They really need to talk to you. — She's like, "Oh, me. Okay, I'm not going to talk to them. Let's continue with Is that what you did with Mr. J? " She's like, "Oh, he really needs to talk to me. He's my best friend. " Okay, let's not talk to him. the head of the network. He said, "Get her on the phone now. " So, I don't know why she's telling us this. So, Tyra knew that these people were trying to get in touch with her. They were calling her every day. She wasn't answering them. She doesn't tell us why she didn't answer them. She just says, "Yeah, I was just putting it off. " And even so, that her assistant came in and was like, "Hey, you got to call these people back. " And she's like, "I don't know. Is this story going somewhere? " I took his call and I'll never forget — after how long she's like I finally took his call. It took the head of the network saying get her on the phone now. You know Tyra is really telling us how she operates. This is not just a little silly story. She knows that someone really wanted to talk to her. They were calling her every day and she was ignoring it. Even her assistant couldn't get through to her. It took the head of the network for however long it took to get her to call them back or get on the phone with them. — We need to make a significant change — and there are no sacred cows. — The new president of the network calls up Tyra. She finally answers after ghosting this man and he's like, "This show is so popular, but it won't always be. " And then he said that the show is dipping and that we need to make a significant change. And they bring up there are no sacred cows. You have to let go three of my hearts. — What? And what is that? You have three hearts. I didn't know you even had one. — Mr. J, Miss J. — No. What? They disappeared them. Okay. So then it shows the three judges being disappeared from the background just like they did to the girls in the show. It's kind It's okay. That's coming

### Segment 11 (50:00 - 55:00) [50:00]

full circle a little. So, the new president is basically like, I'm taking over. We're going to change things up and we're getting rid of Mr. J, Miss Jay, and Nigel. — Shocked me. I was like, what? There was no need to replace them. — Ken Mox says he was shocked and there was no need to replace them. And them meaning three of Tyra's hearts. Miss J, Mr. J, and Nigel. — Was a note. Happy birthday. Love Tyra. I was fired 5 days later. — Ooh, that's a cold. That's a cold way to be treating these people that you've been working with. These are not random people to Tyra. These are her friends. This and this is how she's treating her friends. She knew Miss J since she was 16 years old. — You want to talk about being slapped across the face and then slapped right back. — It's hard for me to feel bad truly for Mr. J, Miss J, Nigel because of what happened on the show to these models. I just think about all the things that the girls had to go through, the models, how the comments from the judges, how they were treated on the show, — bringing the ratings down was the implication that it was us three. — So essentially Nigel, Miss Jay, and Mr. J got eliminated from their own show. — That was really tough. It was somewhat mercenary. — I love how they're clipping in some problematic stuff that the judges said, like Miss J says, "You look like when Moses parted the Red Sea. " — Part of the Red Sea that you on the other side fishing. That's how old you look. — It's like, are we really supposed to feel bad for them? The documentary is like, "Wait a second. Before you feel bad, let me remind you what they said on the show to these girls. " — Unless you are Tyra Banks, I'm afraid you're expendable and they will swap you out just like that. — This documentary, O Nigel saying it was somewhat mercenary like how they were let go. Then it cuts to him saying to a model, "Unless you're Tyra Banks, I'm afraid you're expendable and they'll swap you out just like that. " And then it as we're talking about those th those three judges being swapped out and replaced killer killer editing. Nigel telling a model that she's expendable and she'll be swapped out is exactly what happened to him and the other two judges. I want to know how this model is doing and I hope that she is sleeping well. — What did I think? — What' you think? — What is this for? — I don't know. Just a different [snorts] — Okay. [sighs] She's like what is this for? Why are you filming me? As other 20 cameras are about to film me. What is this for? Hm. To get my real opinion, thoughts. This is a very awkward interaction between her and Mr. J. Was this during the time when she was ignoring him? Remember the cruise? They were talking about the cruise ship auditions and she wouldn't talk to him and then Mr. Jay's like, you know, I'm going to film her. So, Tyra, what did you think of? — It's that like, okay, like what? This is weird kind of look. The look she gives him initially when she sees the camera and him filming her. Nigel says, "Just like the models on the show, we also got eliminated. " Tyra pulled out three cards and they were all blank. Yeah. And yet, you didn't have to do any of those ridiculous challenges. Angle. — Don't put it on your website. my website. when I want. — This is like the friend that lowkey hates you and you just laugh everything off because you don't know what else to do. You're like, you said, um, really? Uh, you said I have no talent and I'm ugly. So, isn't she funny? [gasps] [sighs] She's like, don't put it on your website. And then, and then it gets put in this documentary. Kind of love that. The editors of this documentary kind of knew what they were doing. They're like, "Okay, if you guys aren't going to give us answers, we're going to have to get messy with the editing. " — I made so many concessions. That's the part that's the most hurtful. — I got a list of things. Mr. J, do we shall we begin? He's on a very popular show making so much money. Also, they act like they were fired early on. I mean, Mr. J says he worked cycles 10 through 18, so it seems like they were there for a big part of the show still. You guys had more work than the models did. The models left the show. Some of them had to go back to working at Walgreens and their regular jobs. Some of them never wanted to do modeling again. — We're going to continue to work together and so we agreed to that. — Mr. J talks about how they were going to put out a joint press release and they said we would all get a quote in this press release so everyone would be able to say something in this press release that represented them. Mr. J's like we see all the time in television shows people saying so and so have decided to part ways and little does he know what's coming. — Tyra Banks has fired her panel of experts. Mr. Jay thinking, okay, yeah, Tyra treated these girls terribly, but not me, not her best friend. — Oh my god. There was a leak to page six that said the three of us were fired.

### Segment 12 (55:00 - 60:00) [55:00]

— And they're getting a little taste of what these girls had to go through with Tyra. So now that Tyrus turned the tables on them, now they're in this documentary. Like they're scorned by her. But before they didn't care. Before she were employed and they were having fun on the show when these models were crying on their show and being screamed at and h and having their having to do medical procedures and all that. Not a nothing, not a word. For every girl that was mistreated on your show, now you know. Now you know a little bit of how she feels. Just a little bit. Not even the full extent. — The way we ran confidentiality and we're on these conference calls. There's no leak to page six. — Now, now it's like confidentiality and conference calls. Now we get Now we're getting into the be more behind the scenes when it comes to them. Mr. Jay wanted to leave. Didn't he send Tyra the email in St. Lucia? — You now put that out there that way and we can't undo that. — You know who's having a hard time finding jobs? The models from your show. What do they say to the girls that are having trouble finding work because they were on Top Model? Do they care? No, we don't hear about that. — That's the part that you you then have to live with, — but not anything else that they did on the show. Isn't it crazy? The things that they're most upset by are him being fired and then Tyra uh ignoring him. That's what he's upset by. No, no mention of the treatment of models or anything that the models had to go through. We've had these models crying in this documentary about what they had to go through. Then it cuts to Mr. J saying that was hurtful to me. — The lowest point for me. — Mr. Jay is upset by this saying we all know where the leak came from. Kind of implying that maybe it was Tyra who leaked this news. I don't know. And then Nigel said that it was a low point for him. — I could feel it was quite palpable how upset he was. — And you guys upset many people by your comments. Are you going to address that at any point? Now, the whole uh we have a whole section of this documentary just for the judges to say, "Oh, I was fired. " Tyra is willing to let people go if it means the continuation of success for her show, and that's all that matters. It's like when you see injustice happening around the world, but you don't care about it because it doesn't affect you personally. It's like, "Oh, it never happened to me. " Until it happens to you, and then you're like, "Wow, this is wrong. We need to speak up about this. " this. It's like why are you going to wait till it happens to you to say anything? — I've had been on Top Model for 17 seasons. — 17 seasons. That's you guys. That's the long time to be employed by this show. I think he I'm It's not like he was cut two seasons in and then they went on to have like 50 seasons. He they did a big portion of this show. — It was disappointing and it I we felt a little bit like betrayed. What about the girls that shared their trauma and their family history and then it ended up being made into a photo shoot? Don't you think they felt betrayed by that? Nigel says, "It was difficult because I didn't have a backup plan at that point. " — Why would you not allow people who've been a part of your show since its inception? — What's so interesting is Mr. J says, "Why would you not allow people who have been part of your show since its inception to move forward in their career with grace? " Hm. I wonder who wasn't able to move forward in their career with grace. Danny, Chandandy, Kenya, Bri, so many models you can name that were their career was hindered because of the show, because of Top Model. — It gives people their dignity. It was very deliberate. — Mr. J says They are experiencing a little bit of what these girls had to deal with. — Heard them say on set many times, "What do we got to do to create drama? " We don't know who's ever saying these things, but we know that it was said, but no one tells us who said it. I heard it through the graveine. — The three stars of America's Next Top Model who were all just fired by Tyra Banks. — We're Banks in their first interview together. This guy's hilarious. He's like the three judges who were just fired by Tyra Banks. — Do you feel blindsided by what happened? — I think more than anything, I feel a little sad. Okay. Am I supposed to feel sad for them? They were so hurt by being fired, which happens literally every day on this earth. People are fired, laid off. I was laid off. It's like you just move on. Find something else. He's a photographer/model. He could have. It's not like the end of the world. It's not like they have no skills. — Question that was posed directly to me. How tough was Tyra to work for? — The interviewer asks Mr. Jay specifically, how tough was Tyra to work for? — We had to speak very carefully. Ken, Tyra, they were all watching us live. — Just like in this documentary, Mr. Jay dodges that question and starts off with, well, you know, I'm a perfectionist, too. And then does not proceeds to not answer the question because he brings up contracts and

### Segment 13 (60:00 - 65:00) [1:00:00]

things he's legally allowed to say about production and whatnot, which does he does. Okay. Yeah, that does have some merit — in terms of her being specifically difficult or — Mr. J's like rude. I love them struggling to answer these questions. — She's not the type of person to walk out and — he doesn't really get into any specifics. He doesn't say one thing or another. He dodges that one, too. He's like, "She's not the type of person to walk out and oust you. " It does seem like she did that, though. It then cuts to a tweet that Tara wrote for her fired co-stars which says, "Fear and love to my Nigel Barker, Mr. J. Emanuel and Miss J. America's Next Top Model turned us into a family. Excited for what the future holds for us. XOXO and yet she hasn't returned their like she's not she's ignoring them behind the scenes probably. " So, she'll tweet them, but she's not going to return their calls. She's like, "Okay, let's just send it out. Say that we're a family. " It's like a friend who's not answering your calls, ignoring you, and then they're post they posted an Instagram story. You're like, "Hello. " It — was probably some of the hardest news I have ever had to deliver in my existence. — Tyra says it was the hardest news that she ever had to deliver and that she cried herself to sleep that night. You mean when you were tweeting that or when you had to fire them? They say they feel betrayed, but she had to fire them cuz the I don't know [clears throat] what's going on. They spent a large portion of this episode talking about their personal drama between each other. — You know, they were there from the beginning, some of the closest people to me in my life. — And yet, you would ignore Mr. J during the audition process. I don't know if I really believe that Tyra felt like she's really good friends. I don't know if I believe all this. Like, Tyra talks about the judges and how close she was to them, saying, you know, there was a best friend in the bed coming up with photo shoots, referring to Mr. backstage at fashion shows, hanging, laying on them. So, she describes a very close relationship with them, it seems like. But the way that she's treating them does not align with that. Her words just don't align with her actions. — And the big boss was very clear. There are no sacred cows. — And he So, the president tells her, "Not even you, Tyra. " Why didn't Tyra just say, "Hey, it's the it's my boss making me do this. " Right? cuz then I feel like what they wouldn't have been doing all these interviews. So that's why I'm thinking something else must be in play here that we're not we're never going to get the full story, right? — Pick up the phone and do what I'm telling you to do. — Kind of framing it like she had no choice. Her and Mock had to deliver this bad news and she cried herself to sleep. But then again, she sent the flower arrangement and then fired them the next few days. So, [sighs and gasps] I'm missing something from this. I don't think I'm getting the full story. — I don't believe that they knew that it came from above. — She says no matter how much Ken and I were explaining this was not our decision. They She didn't believe that they knew it came from above that her new boss. We spent so much time just talking about them being fired. Okay. Where are the models? — To this day, I think they think that it was me and Ken. Really? So she says till this date they the judges the three judges who were fired still think Ken and Tyra were responsible. They could be on to something. I don't know. I feel like the judges just came on this documentary because Tyra fired them and they're bitter about it. They're just mad. So they're here to say their peace just like they did in the interview with on the news station. They're doing the same thing here. But they have to answer questions about the models. They're like, "Okay, let's get through all that stuff. " What I'm really here to talk about is Tyra, though. That's what it feels like. The judges are here just to get their final word into her cuz they know she will see this. Okay? They know that she has to respond. And so, they feel like this is their way of getting their answers cuz they think it was her that fire and Kenmach who fired them. — She would do anything for the success of her show. And that's what I've been saying in this documentary reaction. She it doesn't matter who you are to Tyra how close you are. You will get cut if it means that the show will continue to do well. You're expendable. You're replaceable. Just like these models. We ruined their lives and now we're going to ruin yours. — Big changes that kind of rire of desperation. — She's my favorite person in this documentary. She's like, "All these big changes wreaked of desperation. " Now they're getting into how the show tried to reinvent after cycle 19. They brought in new people. Tyra tried to bring in celebrities, do the all-star cycle. They tried to switch it

### Segment 14 (65:00 - 70:00) [1:05:00]

up and reinvent themselves because the ratings were down. — The ratings went down dramatically. — They thought that, okay, we're going to get rid of Mr. J, Miss J, Nigel, goodbye. We're going to bring in new people, talk about Twitter, and make the audience the judge, and bring in comments and things like that, and then it's going to be ratings bump. Unfortunately, the ratings went down drastically. — Each and every girl on the planet. — Um, then they play a compilation of Tyra saying random things. Hoochi tui. I don't know. It's just a compilation. It's kind of weird. The network came back to me and said, "We don't want Tyra to be the host of the show. " — Oh, how the tables turned. So, just like they replace the girls every season on the show, I mean, Tyra made it 22 seasons, but now she's going to be replaced. — It was like my right hand was gone. — Did you hear what Ken said? He said, "My right hand was gone. " That's how close him and Tyra were in the production of this show. So, if you ever doubt like, "Okay, maybe Tyra didn't know. " That's why I don't believe it. They replaced Tyra. — We got a new host. And — so they end up replacing Tyra with Rita Ora. — We kind of mutually decided that we didn't want to do it anymore. — They say after 24 cycles that they all decided that they didn't want to continue to do the show anymore. Kenmach is telling us this. Nigel says it had run its course. — What happened after the show? — So the judges go on to say all the things that they did after the show. Nigel was doing photooots and things like that. Jay said he worked with E and he did a cosmetic company and then he wrote a novel. — On December 27th, 2022, I had a stroke. — I did see comments about this that Miss Jay can no longer walk. I saw some clips from Twitter. — I spent 5 weeks in a coma. — Oh my god. Um I didn't know that he spent 5 weeks in a coma. — I couldn't talk. — And he couldn't talk. — I'm not ashamed to say that. I cried. You shouldn't be. There's nothing wrong with crying. It's okay. It just makes you human to cry. There's nothing wrong with it. — He was like happy to see me and the two of us cried together. — He mentions when he was in the hospital that Jay and Nigel came to visit him. I'm guessing Tyra didn't come visit. — I know it's been really, really hard, mate. — It's not easy to watch someone go through something like this. Strokes are very serious. And he mentioned he was in a coma for 5 weeks. Couldn't walk, couldn't talk. So, it must have been very difficult. And you know, it is sad to watch this. This it's the music. It's the music that's getting me. Okay. — I taught Miles how to walk and now I can't walk. Not yet. — I'm hoping that Miss Jay has a full recovery and that he's able to walk again. — Did Tyra come and visit you? — No, not yet. — Miss Jay says Tyra did not come to visit him. — She just sent me um a text. him a text. That's it. — The um she wants to come and visit me. — She sent him flowers with a note right before she fired him. But after he had the stroke, couldn't talk, couldn't walk. The most she did was send a text message for him. Didn't visit him, nothing. They're literally doing the same documentary. If she really wanted to visit him, she would have just coordinated it with the people in this documentary. But it doesn't seem like she wants to see him. — I'm obsessed with pivoting. And now they're talking about how Tyra's launching a flagship store ice about ice cream in Sydney, Australia. What kind of documentary is this? — And I live in Australia now. — She lives in Australia now. She's living down under. She should have a teleprompter before you want to order. You have to read the teleprompter. Today I would like um the Chartreuse ice cream and Lacroy. It should be like America's Next Top Model, but for you to buy ice cream. Tyra, don't take that idea, though. — You have no idea what we have planned for cycle 25. — Cycle 25. What happened here? What's going to change that's going to make this the like the better cycle? Tyra is so excited to announce that she is doing cycle 25. I guess this whole documentary feels like a giant advertisement. It didn't age well, but it was also a reflection of the time. That's ex — It's crazy that Whitney's the one who says it was of the time, which I already checked off on the bingo card. I think that was said like five times in this. I could have had a bingo card of just it was of the time, different variations and we would have gotten a full bingo card. They're ending it by asking the models if they would ever do Top Model again. Dion says, "Do it at your own risk. " Joanie says, "I would like to do something like that again, but not like that again. " Hey, Tyra said, "Yeah, she made some [ __ ] She did some shit. " And I thank you for that. — You're welcome. All right. Yeah, anytime, Tyra

### Segment 15 (70:00 - 73:00) [1:10:00]

— is by somebody calling you out on your [ __ ] — Okay, we heard it from Tyra herself saying the only way you change is when people call you out and she's thankful for people calling her out. It seems like I will react to some other episodes and keep that in mind. — It is important. — Side note, why does Tyra talk like that? She's like, "It is important. It is the only way. " It's like she's doing the elimination on the show. It's like to emphasize all these words all the time. I would be tired. — I want you guys to be just as open as I am now about getting — You weren't really that you weren't really open with us. I would say — somebody called you out on yours cuz that day will come and continue to — She's like that day will come. I'm like, "Okay, who are you speaking to when you say that here? Why do I feel threatened? " I'm like, "Okay, I'm sorry. Okay, my Okay, all our days are going to come. " — Continue to evolve — like Pokemon world — girl. That is absolutely ridiculous. — I love Danny so much. [gasps] Danny is what I love her. So, she's so real. She's like a good counterbalance of Ty. Whenever we hear Tyra with the inspirational music, it's like yes and be as open as me and you know just evolve like a Pokemon. And then it cuts to Danny like come on be for real. — Perfect time to stop. — I love Danny. Shout out to all the models who shared their story, had the courage to come on this documentary and tell their side of things. I wish the best for these models. I really do. I hope that they're doing well today. My final thoughts on this documentary, I'm I am disappointed and I'm not referencing Tyra's threeword text message that she sent to Mr. J after he wrote her that he wanted to leave the show. It's more like I'm disappointed because nothing it feels like the judges came on. Tyra, Mr. J, Miss J. It's like they came on just to It's like they're having a little fight behind the scenes and they came on to just battle it out with each other. on this documentary instead of actually addressing the issues with the show. And Tyra was there to try to explain her side because she knew that the judges are going to be on this documentary. It feels like they were there just to give some input, you know, look at watch a clip of themselves saying something problematic and just staring at it, you know, trying to feel emotion sometimes. But then when it came to the last portion of episode three, I mean, they were talking non-stop. They're like, "Tyra did this and I got fired. " in the press release. And this what I learned from this documentary was mostly due to the models experiences and the stories they shared, not so much the judges. They end the documentary on the models and they're talking about their time on the show and also what they've been up to after the shows ended. Danny got the Arkansas keys to the city. Dion is a small business owner as well as a realtor. Ebony says that she became an actress. Joanie started her own business in construction and carpentry. Jazelle joined a theater group in New York. Whitney bought a cute little ice cream shop. — I know. What the? She copied me. — That's so funny. So Whitney tells us that she started an ice cream shop. Then the producer from the documentary is like, "Oh, you know, Tyra also has an ice cream shop. " And then Whitney's like, "I know. What the f? She copied me. I had the ice cream shop first. " Bri started working with violent offenders leading trauma-informed care. Chenny takes care of animals for a living. I love that so much. Kenya is a posing coach and she helps aspiring models. If you like the bingo card format, I'm going to be doing it on another show I'm reacting to. It's a modeling show. It's called Supermodel Me. I think it's following in its footsteps. It America's Next Top Model Inspired. And I'm going to be doing my bingo card with all new squares for that one as well. So, if you want to watch that, I'll have links in the description to watch that series. Thank you guys so much for watching. I'll see you guys next
