Hi everyone, I'm with Iyanu, a member of the class of 28 here at Harvard College in Lowell House, and today we'll be hearing about his project Aura Music. So Iyanu, can you just tell us a little bit of a quick summary of what your project does? Yes, so Aura Music is essentially a Spotify music generator based on whatever mood, emotion, or aura you are exuding. Uh, so I can walk you guys through it. Yeah, I would love to see it, yeah, um. So essentially first we're gonna log in with Spotify. I already have my Spotify account saved on there, so in the upper corner you can see Master K, uh, that's my Spotify username. Let's scroll down. So what emotion are you feeling right now, Thalia? I'm feeling a little bit happy. You're feeling happy. OK, alright, let's do happy. All right, so we can click happy right there. Let's generate a playlist. It's analyzing your aura. Oh, OK, so it has a 25 song playlist based on your mood right now and also changed the website based on that, um, but I think we wanna access this playlist, so let's actually open it in Spotify and it's automatically added to my account, um, generated by or mood based on your mood, happy 25 song playlist. It's pretty cool. Let's actually do another one. Let's do nonchalant. I did this one earlier actually for my videos. Uh. Yeah and then um and then let's open it and let's play a song. Which song were you feeling? I like Suki Waterhouse. OK, I have no idea how this song goes. That's so cool. Awesome. Alright, yeah, thank you. I appreciate it and you can see like you can click different things right here, changes the vibe of the site. Yeah, and I guess what kind of inspired you to make a Spotify like based, um, project? Yeah, um, so like I've been a big fan of Spotify rapped for like 7 years. Now I love Spotify rap and like I always see how they kind of like they start creating like day lists based on like your mood like basically like they'll say like oh maybe it's angry upbeat pop coding and they'll create like a playlist for you and I was like, OK, like let me try to make something like that, um, and so I kind of like did that to the best of my abilities essentially like what happens like in the back end is that like you say like let's say happy and. Happy Ann coding. And this is like a truncated search query it creates a playlist, but in the back end if you go back here it actually searches in the Spotify like search API Happy encoding pop dance EDM and it kind of makes like a longer like general like search query based on that and it creates this playlist for you so yeah, incredible project.
