This is how the work from home policy is expected to be rolled out in India. First, let's look at what is it that other neighboring countries are doing right now to save on fuel consumption. Let's look at Pakistan. They've already moved on to a 4-day work week where government officers have a mandatory day off in the middle of the week to save fuel. Further, let's look at Bangladesh. They've already taken certain educational institutes on live schooling saying that students should not be brought to school and classes should move online. Then look at Thailand, look at Vietnam, look at Philippines. In these three countries, they've said that government officers in several departments must start working from home and be on rotation. and they've already given directions to private entities in agriculture, in industry, in several departments to move on a 50% workforce working from home and the balance coming to the office. Now, right now you know fuel prices globally have risen by about 50%, but crude oil coming into India has risen by more than that by possibly close to about 80%. And this is because you know the rupee is depreciating and because the insurance risk premium is rising. Now as of now petrol and diesel prices for the end consumer in India haven't risen but they're expected [clears throat] to start going up now. And if the war doesn't end by say midappril you know the government will have to come out with directives and I am expecting that to begin with they would say that government officials will start working from home on a 50% or on a rotation basis. Thereafter they may impose things like you know all educational institutes to start doing online classes. Thereafter they may also introduce something like a nationwide odd even usage of cars so that people start moving towards car pooling. But if till the end of April this war is not resolved. Well the country may have to take stricter measures towards work from home. Which is why if you run a business, it's absolutely essential that your HR department builds a policy around attendance and how people will be working, who will be coming to the workplace. Second, your IT department should be ready that people can access information from the server and also ensure that there are necessary firewalls because at these times, you know, things like virus attacks become very prevalent. I've given a lot more in the description. Share it with someone who may need
