Let's find out exactly how far this open Manet mesh node can actually go because you've never seen Wi-Fi go this far. To test this, I'm using the Haven node I built in my recent videos. The green one is the base station and it's getting internet from my Starlink and Big Blue over here is acting as the roaming node and it's coming with me. We're now 500 ft out and still holding a connection. For comparison, this is already more than double the distance I was able to get with my home router. Okay, 1,000 ft. Just for fun, let's see if we can FaceTime my dog, Bruno. Hey, buddy. All right, we're now at 2,000 ft, which is roughly the same as five consecutive football fields, which is kind of insane. Okay, so we're now at 3,519 ft. We're just barely getting a connection with a download speed of 0. 001 megabits per second. But honestly, still faster than my old ISP.
