Everyone is talking about GPT5, but they all seem to be missing the question that I'm personally curious about, and that is what can the average user practically use it for on a regular basis. Today, I have come up with four beginner-friendly use cases that I believe this most recent model generally outperforms the previous ones. Let me show you what I mean. If you haven't already noticed, when you log into chat GPT, you'll notice that on the top left corner that it shows GPT5. But when you click on that, you'll notice that previously you had a long list of other models that were available to you. But now you just have GPT5 models. And that's because one of the changes that were made with GPT5 is that it's just one model that will decide which model to use uh to optimize for the prompt that you gave it or the request that you've made for it. Now for the average user that seems to be convenient for people who may not know which model actually to select to get the best results. Now what they have done if you are on a paid version you'll notice that under the legacy models you are able to access uh some of the previous uh models that were available to you. Uh not only that if you go under your name here go under settings and under general you can see that you have show additional models uh available to you. So if you click that on and then now go back to chat GBT under legacy models, you now have access to other previous models as well in case that you want to be using those previous models uh before chat GPT5 was released. Now keep in mind this is only available for people who are on the paid versions. One of the things that I wish GPT could do for me before was to go through my Google calendar and find available time slots for me to work on my YouTube channel or book appointments for my dentist and so forth, but it wasn't able to read my calendar very accurately. So, I took a picture of it and sent it as a prompt, as an image. But now with GPT5, I'm able to connect my Google calendar and it's able to read it quite accurately. And on top of that, I asked it to look through the website for a massage therapy session and see where we're both available. As you can see on my screen here, I've already asked uh Chat GPT to look at my Google calendar and find an available time to book a massage therapy session at uh this website. So, what it's doing is it's looking at my Google calendar and simultaneously looking on the website to see when there's a time that I'm available and when they're available as well for me to be able to book a massage therapy session. Now, as you can see, this could be very useful for any kind of appointments that you can do online like dentist appointments or eye appointments, medical appointments, and so on. Now you can see that after 30 seconds it has come up with uh available times, dates and times that I'm free and also there's an available time slot for a massage therapy session which I thought was very useful. Now when it comes to scheduling, you can probably ask GPT to be able to find multiple things at the same time like I want to book a massage therapy session, a dentist appointment, and a medical appointment. and to be able to find all the available time slots that I have that also coincides with the respective people that I want to book with. With the most recent model, it was able to read my Google calendar accurately and be able to find the correct time slots that I was available along with when the massage therapy sessions were also available. Now, if you want chat GPT to be able to connect to your Google calendar, what you just need to do is go under settings here under your name and then you would click on what they what shows as connectors and you'll see that there are several browsers that you can or several apps that you can connect with and you have the option of connecting to your Google calendar or Google Drive and Gmail so that you can give it access to these accounts for them to be able to read your Google calendar. We live in an amazing time where we have powerful tools like AI to help us with our day-to-day life, reduce redundant work, and automate workflows in a matter of minutes. Now, by far one of my most favorite features of Chat GPT is the voice mode. And with the launch of GPT5, they have now upgraded that to an advanced voice mode where it responds to you a lot quicker and you're able to interrupt it uh midsentence uh if you have any questions uh while they're speaking to you. So, if you didn't know already, you can activate the voice mode here. If you hover over it, you can see that it uses the voice mode. Now, one of the things I like to use voice mode for is when I'm driving on the road, and I want to be caught up to speed with breaking news in my area, but I also have a tendency to avoid the news just because there's a lot of negativity in the news. So, I just want the news that I want to hear. So, I ask Chat GPT through voice mode to be able to just listen in on the most breaking news of that day, whether it's sports or weather or business, just the topics that I'm interested in. So that way you're able to get a personalized news feed while you're driving and get caught up to speed on just the topics that you're interested in. Can you update me on the most uh recent news on tennis that happened in Toronto along with the weather that I'm expecting today? — So a little tennis update first. Ben Shelton just grabbed his very first ATP Masters 1000 title right there in Toronto, beating Karen Hakenoff in a three- set final. Pretty big moment for him. As for the weather today in Toronto, you're looking at a high of about 77 degrees Fahrenheit with some thunderstorms rolling through. — Sorry, what's 77 Fahrenheit in Celsius? — Sure thing. 77° F is about 25° C. So, it's a pretty warm day, just a bit stormy. — Okay. Can you tell me uh ex you said he won in three sets. How which sets did he actually win? — Absolutely. So, in that final match, Ben Shelton lost the first set in a tiebreak, 6-7. Then, he came back to win the next two sets, 6-4 and 76. So, he really pulled it out in those last two sets to uh get the trophy. — One of the things that I really appreciate is good interior design. With the new GPT5 model, it seems to have improved in its uh visual analysis of uh pictures that you give it. So, I attached a photo of what I wanted to do with my office space to chat GPT and asked it to guess maybe what paint color it's using, what kind of furniture that I should get, uh, and even rough approximation on how big the square footage of the room is, and even how high the ceilings are, just so that I can see if I can manage to pull the look off in my own space. So, let's see what it says. So, very quickly, you're going to be able to see that it has identified a uh paint color from Benjamin Moore and furniture as to where I can buy certain furnitureures and chairs and shelves and accessories and even estimates the dimensions of the room like I asked it. And it's able to tell me that the room is around 7 ft wide and about 8 ft maybe in depth. Then able to tell me that the ceiling height was about 8 to 9 ft. So, if you're anyone like me that enjoys and appreciates good interior design, I think this is a really cool prompt to ask Chat GPT. Going along the same theme of designing my own workspace, I asked Chat GPT to research competitive uh condo prices uh for rent in downtown just to ask it to do some market research as to what the going rate is and what a competitive price uh may be. This could be really useful if you're buying or selling or even renting real estate. In addition to that, I asked Chat GPT to give me suggestions as to what I should put in as my entry offer in the current market conditions that it's in. And very quickly, I was able to come back with some or findings and it tells me what it came up with as the medium rent for going condo and a suggestion as to how much I can probably negotiate down from the offer that I initially placed. Now, another thing you can do that I mentioned in a previous video is the tasks feature. And this is when GPT5 is super handy for it to select the model that's best for the task at hand. To use the tasks feature, I would just type in tasks and then prompt it to whatever you wanted to do on a regular basis. In this example, I'm going to task chatpt to send me new listings of condo rentals uh

### Segment 3 (10:00 - 11:00) [10:00]

every morning at 9:00. And what it will do is it will send me a notification and give me the listings and email me the listings as well that I asked it to find. So previously you would have had to know to select the 03 model or the 04 mini model in order for the tasks feature to work correctly. But now with chat GPT5, you're able to just give it the task and it will be able to give send you that notification and new listings every morning. So, I'm going to task it to send me new listings of one-bedroom condo units every morning at 9:00. And then you'll see there that uh it will send you new listings uh every morning at 9:00 to your phone and uh to your email as well. So, as you can see, the possibilities are absolutely endless when it comes to using AI tools like Chat GPT to be able to cater towards your needs and get the information that you want. These are just use cases that I personally came up with that I thought would be useful to myself and maybe some of you who are watching this video. But if you have any other tasks that you want to try using AI for, I encourage you to try it and just experiment to see how well it does in doing the thing that you want it to do. And I'm really curious to know what practical use cases that you personally use AI for like chat GPT to do your everyday tasks. Thank you for your time today and watching this video. And I hope to see you in the next one.
