### Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00) []

I loved Imeemoriam by Alice Wyn and love fiction based on either of the World Wars. What would you recommend? — There is an absolutely amazing novel about the battle of Arnham by [clears throat] a man called Zeno. — Yes, — it's a pseudonym. Um uh he fought in the 21st Independent Parachute Company as a Pathfinder. So, one of the people who landed there first and he wrote a novel um about his experiences the battle. He wrote it in Wormwood Scrubs serving a life sentence for murder. — Oh wow. — Um he murdered his wife's boyfriend or lover or whatever. It's all quite shrouded in mystery. The book's called The Cauldron. And this is the book he wrote in Wormwood Scrubs. Won the Arthur Kursler Prize for fiction which was for fiction by um in u prisoners. — But he disappeared, didn't he? — He disappeared. Went to Malta cuz he had to get out of the country when the pandemic came. I read because it was out of print. I read this as an audio book for our podcast listeners and out of the woodwork appears his daughter. — And also we should say that because we've been sort of you know wanging on about the cauldron — on the on AB books it was like up to sort of 267 quid for a [clears throat] you know a rubbish old pan paperback — and I've got this absolutely battered p with a leave with the pages falling out. Anyway, she pops up and gets in touch and through a series of sort of meetings and chats, we've managed to get it back into print and it's out now with Penguin.
