## Транскрипт

### Segment 1 (00:00 - 00:00) []

The brain contains about 86 billion neurons and each of those neurons can form connections with other neurons. So there might be like a trillion connections in the brain and those connection points is where those memories or things that we've learned get stored and they're the things that can often change when we're talking about neuroplasticity. So let's say you're learning something whether it's learning information or learning a skill. Those tiny connections signapses form between neurons in the brain. And the more we do that thing, whether it's learning information or learning a skill, the bigger and more robust those connections become and we get better at doing that thing. So neuroplasticity is important for learning and memory. It's important for our ability to change. If we're recovering from brain injury or if you're recovering from emotional trauma, it's really important to therapy. Your thought patterns are trainable. Things like cognitive behavioral therapy work by helping you change your thinking and make new pathways and change your brain's wiring over time.
