Like, we personally delivered it in our own car. And I know what you're thinking right now. That doesn't scale, Steve. And you're absolutely right. It does not scale at all. We also write handwritten notes to some customers. We do all these tiny things that on the surface look like they don't matter at all, and they are inefficient. But here's what actually happened over time. Those small acts of care that we repeated over and over for years turned into customers who became insanely loyal to us for life and refer their friends constantly. And we're talking about thousands of dollars in sales that came directly from these tiny gestures that seemed meaningless in the moment. Think about it this way. One email a day is 365 chances to make a sale this year. One product tweak a week is 52 chances to improve your conversion rate. And one customer relationship done right is referrals that go on forever. But here's the flip side of this and nobody wants to talk about. Skip following up with a customer once, not a big deal. Skip it a 100 times over the course of a year, you just lost a massive chunk of your potential customer base. And if you ignore your cost for a week, you're also fine. But if you ignore them for a year, you're probably going to go bankrupt. And the problem is that we overestimate what we can accomplish in one day and we massively underestimate what we can do in a year when we're consistent. Success is literally compound interest for your business. And those boring little actions you're doing today are going to snowball into huge wins years from now.
