But most people are doing keyword research wrong. They're using the same old tools, checking search volume, looking at keyword difficulty, and then they wonder why their content doesn't rank. The problem is they're not looking at what actually matters, search intent, user behavior, what Google actually wants to see in the content. And this is where Gemini and Notebook LM come in because these tools let you reverse engineer exactly what's working right now in your niche, not what worked last year, not what some SEO tool thinks will work, what's actually ranking on page one today. Tell me what topics they all cover, what topics some of them cover, what makes each one unique, and what gaps exist that none of them address. This gives you a complete map of the competitive landscape. You see exactly what Google is rewarding. You see what users are looking for and most importantly, you see the opportunities. This is going to be your SEO research hub for this topic. And you're going to upload everything relevant. Upload those top 10 competitor articles, upload any industry reports, upload case studies, upload your own existing content on the topic. Everything goes in here. Why? Make it thorough enough that any writer could create expert level content from it. What you get is an outline that's basically a road map to outranking your competitors. Every section has a purpose. Every point addresses user intent. Nothing is fluff. And here's the key thing for SEO. This outline is based on what's actually ranking, not what you think should rank, not what sounds good.
