### Segment 1 (00:00 - 04:00) []

Hey, welcome Gurus to another month's worth of Google Cloud announcements. We've had a slow February of announcements from Google, however, we got new ways to manage your persistent disk in Cloud Workstations plus announcements of the new summit in March. So stick to your seats and welcome to GCP This Month. Cloud Workstations now supports Customer Managed Encryption Keys. Now Cloud Workstations is a cloud-based service that lets you manage your desktops in the cloud. Now, one of its key features are persistent disks which lets you store and access your data and settings across multiple sessions. And now with the recent edition of Customer Managed Encryption Keys support, you have even greater control over your encryption of your persistent disk. CMEK is a security future offered by Google Cloud Platform to let you create, own, and manage your own encryption keys. Now by using CMEK, you can manage your encryption of your persistent disk yourself, giving you greater control over who has access over your data. Google Cloud's Data and AI Summit March 29th. Get ready to experience the power of data and AI like never before. Join Google's data cloud and AI Summit on March 29th and discover how cloud computing and AI can transform your skill sets and your business. Now with expert-led technical sessions, interactive demos, and opportunities to connect with industry thought leaders, this event is a must attend for anyone interested in the latest developments in data and AI. Plus, with opportunities to connect with other attendees and Google executives, you have the chance to network and learn with some of the best and brightest minds in the field. Now, don't miss out on the great sessions at this event, which Google will announce later. Now, you could register in the link in the description, so make sure you click that link now Gurus. GKE Autopilot is available with Balanced compute class. With Autopilot, you can let Google manage the infrastructure and workload while you focus on running and scaling your applications. And now with Balanced compute class, you can run large pods with optimized resources allocated to provide the best balance of performance and cost. Now, the Balanced compute class is perfect for workloads that require a balance of CPU and memory resources such as web servers and stateful applications. Now with Autopilot and the Balanced compute class, you can improve the performance and scalability of your applications while reducing your operational overhead. Now let's get into our GCP Gem. Now, as business increasingly shift to the cloud, securing workloads and data become more critical than ever. Now, however, operational hurdles can cause delays that leave resources vulnerable to cyber attacks. Now, Google Cloud Security Command Center, as we Gurus know, is a built-in security and risk management solution designed to help security and governance teams stay secure by identifying misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and threats. Now to help customers apply protection quickly, Google is introducing two new capabilities in a new pricing model, including project-level activation, full self-service deployment, and pay-as-you-go pricing options. Now, SCC can now be deployed for individual projects to protect workloads with the most urgent security requirements, enabling organizations to interject security controls where they're needed first rapidly. Now with this scalability and flexibility, SCC can change the security economics by making its security and risk government capabilities even more accessible to Gurus like yourself, your company, or the companies you work for. Well, Cloud Gurus, that's all for GCP news this month, and we're sad to say that this is the last episode of GCP This Month, and it's because we're making room for more exciting new cloud content coming your way in 2023. So make sure to subscribe and stay up to date. Thank y'all for watching and keep being awesome Cloud Gurus. I'm out.
