### Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00) []

In this video, I'm going to show you five essential adjustments you need to make as soon as you buy your Sony Z V10. Hello, I'm Gil Carvalho. This channel talks about cameras and makes tutorials like this one, where I'll show you five essential adjustments or settings to make as soon as you buy your Sony Z V10. This video is part of a series of videos I have here talking about the Sony Z V10. It's a series of videos where I talk about absolutely everything about this Sony camera. If you missed any of these videos, I'm leaving the link in the description and also in the end screens for you to access the complete playlist with several videos talking about the camera, where you can binge-watch several videos that are a real course, a real manual for this camera. So, without wasting time, let's get to the adjustments. The first adjustment you need to make on your Sony Z V10 is to correct exactly this: notice that your LCD monitor, your LCD screen, turns off in just 10 seconds. So how do we correct this to increase the time your LCD monitor stays on? Go to tab number 5, which is the one with the settings that has a little suitcase icon. Go to page 1 and scroll down to the last option called " Power Settings. " Enter this option; you'll find the first option, which is about power saving. You'll enter it here. Notice that the default time is 10 seconds. So here you change it. I suggest you set it to two minutes so that your LCD doesn't keep turning off. To confirm, press the central button on the main selector. To exit, just press the menu key once and twice. From now on, your LCD will stay on for a longer time. Remember that the longer you leave your LCD on, the more battery it will consume, so I recommend keeping it between one and two minutes. The second adjustment you need to make on your Sony ZV-10 will correct this problem: if you bought a Sony ZV-10 on AliExpress or in any European country, when you access the frame rate of your Sony ZV-10, that is, the FPS of your video, you will only find these parameters here: 50 Frames per second: 25 frames per second and 100 frames per second. Then you ask me where the 24 frames per second, the 30 frames, the 60 frames, and even the 124 frames per second that we find in most cameras come from. Well, the fact that you don't find these settings here on your specifications is because it comes pre-adjusted from the factory for the Paul M video system, and here in Brazil, as well as in the United States, that is, in the Americas, we use the NTSC system. You might be finding this NTSC nomenclature a little complicated. To solve this, the way is this: to change the video system of your Sony ZVE10 from the Paul M system to the NTSC system, you will have to go to the fifth tab, that is, the general camera settings tab. You navigate from page 1 to page 2, and when you reach page 2 you already have the first option, which is the NTSC selector. You enter this option and it asks if you want to change to NTSC. You go here to the confirm option and press the center button to confirm. Note that it takes a while to start processing this option. After you've switched the system to NTSC, you'll find the options here in your menu: 60 frames per second, 30 frames per second, 24 frames per second, and 124 frames per second. Remember that if you're in 4K, you 'll only have 24 frames per second or 30 frames per second. Perfect. The third setting you need to change on your Sony ZV10 is to take your camera out of automatic mode, both in photography and video modes. To exit automatic mode on your camera, both in video and photography, once you 're in automatic mode and want to change it (in this case, I'm in video), I go to the FN menu, to this lower right corner, to this little corner here. Notice that I have the fully intelligent mode on high, which is the fully automatic mode. Press the center button and I have my options. Here I have programmed mode, aperture mode, shutter priority, and manual mode. So I... I recommend that you put it in manual mode so that you can access all these options, as well

as the options that will appear on the capture screen, on the main LCD screen, and also in the function menu that you access with the fn key. Note that you have to make this change in both video and photo modes. So, to change the photo mode, you will navigate here by pressing the mode key up here, this key that is up here, until you reach the photo mode. Once mode, I notice that it is also in automatic mode. You go here to the function key, go to the bottom right corner, enter this option and change it to manual mode. With this, you will also have more indications on the screen, as well as the complete function menu for you to use more frequently with your Sony ZV E10. Remember that here on the channel there is a complete video showing how to navigate through all the menus here on the Sony ZV E10. Take a look at the description; this video shows all these movements that I make here. So, in this video, the fourth adjustment or setting that you need to change here on your Sony ZV E10 will correct this problem. Notice that when you buy your papers... The Sony ZV10 will be eager to make its first video recording. You make your video recording and realize that the recording looks bad, a little blurry, not the promised 4K quality. This happens because when the Sony ZV10 is filming in full HD ( 1080p), the image quality is slightly inferior, even lower than some entry-level cameras that film in full HD, or even lower than what we get with our cell phones. To correct this, as you may have already noticed, you need to always record in 4K with your Sony ZV10. To change the video resolution of your Sony ZV10 from full HD to 4K, as well as change the frame rate, you will have to go to tab number 2, which is video settings. Navigate to the first option, which is file format. Notice that it has two options. The first option, which is already selected by default, is written x AVCs HD. This option is actually full HD or... If you scroll up to 1080p, you'll find the 4K option. Notice that 4K is 4K, so you choose this option. By doing so, you'll have the corresponding frame rate options for 4K. If you go into the recording settings, you'll find 30 frames per second at 60 megabits, 34 100 megabits (a bit rate that will give you more information), 24 frames per second at 100 megabits, and 60 megabits. If you don't have much space on your computer, instead of using 100 MB, you can use 60 megabits. In any case, by setting it to 4K, you'll get a better image with your Sony ZV10, as you can see in the same shot in 4K. Our fifth and final adjustment you need to make on your Sony ZV10 has to do with photography. Well, if you bought a Sony ZV10... And you were eager to take pictures with it, so you put it in photo mode, and when you tried to take a picture, you saw that you couldn't because it seemed like the focus was shifting; you couldn't focus, you couldn't get the focus to stay fixed on your subject. Well, that has to do with the factory settings. When you turn it on, the Sony ZV-10 comes configured with a focus mode that is a bit more advanced for an average user to master. So, to correct this, you will need to make the following change on your Sony ZV-10. To change the focus modes on your Sony ZV-10 camera, when you are in photo mode, which is this mode here, you will go to the fn menu by pressing the fn key, and here in the menu, notice that by default on the Sony ZV-10, when you buy it, the focus mode is in continuous autofocus mode. This will make it difficult for you to take the first few photos, so here you should change it to single autofocus mode. When you choose this option, you exit the function menu. So you Press the fn key again to return

to the function menu. Okay, here's something you need to correct: the focus area, which by default is set to zone. So I recommend that those taking their first photographs use the wide focus area mode. But you can also use zone focus, and when you have more experience, you can choose the flexible point, which will give you the option to move the focus point. For example, here I'm moving it on my character's face in the foreground, and if you press the shutter button halfway, I lock the focus, and here, pressing it again fully, you take the picture. Take a picture, take a picture of our character! So it's important to understand these two options on your Sony Z V10: the focus mode and the focus area. Okay, so now pay attention to the message I'm going to leave for you here in the end screens, as well as in the description of this video. I'm leaving links to two playlists on the channel. The first, of course, is this complete playlist of the tutorial series for beginners on the Sony Z V10. The second link is for a series and also... Regarding the CV 10, how to solve problems, in this series I'm showing you how to solve small problems you encounter when using your Sony Z V10. So check out both the tutorials for beginners playlist and this new playlist on how to solve problems with your Sony Z V10. I hope you enjoyed this video. I 'll leave it at that. A big hug to everyone and until the next video, thank you very much.
