Dark circles and undereye bags are probably the most common complaint that I get from my patients, my own family members, and it's probably the biggest complaint that I have about myself. Introducing Remedy for Dark Circles. These are my favorite videos to make, introducing a new product to all of you. What's up, everyone? We're back. I'm Dr. Shaw, and welcome back to our channel, Dr. Lee, where we talk about all things skincare and dermatology. Dr. Maxfield is not here for this video. I'm actually meeting him next week where you're going to get a whole new wave of content from us. But I'm proud to introduce our new remedy dark circle treatment. We've been working on this one for a long time. So, I'm excited to talk about the ingredients we chose in this formula, how it works, how long it takes to work, and who this actually won't work for. So, all things remedy for dark circles. Here we go. So, first let's talk about what contributes to dark circles. You have increased melanin production in some individuals and some people are actually born with this. We call this genetic dark circles and this is due to increased melanin production. Now this can get worse with time due to sun exposure or certain activities like rubbing your eyes frequently using makeup wipes that cause a lot of friction. That friction causes inflammation and that friction increases melanin production and increased pigment production. So that's true pigment in the skin. And then you have very thin skin that also contributes to this and this shows basically anything underneath that thin skin becomes translucent. So an example would be vascular buildup. So a lot of people get vascular congestion whether it's due to allergies, not sleeping well, eating a lot of salt for example, that can show that prominent vasculature which will appear a little bit more brownish, ruddyish, reddish discoloration rather than true pigmentation. And one really helpful way to tell the difference between these two is by doing the pinch test. So this is where you pinch your underey skin and if you pinch it and the area that you've pinched is still pigmented and it's probably due to melanin. If you pinch it and that discoloration goes away, a lot of times that's due to that vascule buildup. And any treatment that targets the vasculature will be better for you. The reality is that most people suffer with a combination of this. So it's a combination of thin skin, pigmentation, and vascular buildup. And so targeting all three is going to make you most successful. Now, some people also have hollowing under the eyes, and this is due to loss of fat. And so something like filler would help here, but really no topical treatment will help with that hollowing underneath the eyes. Now, let's quickly talk about undereye bags. There really are two types. one that I severely suffer from which is edema. So anytime I eat a lot of salt, I don't sleep well, I take oral minoxidil for hair loss for example, I get this puffiness in my eyes and it's worse in the morning and this is due to edema or fluid buildup. Now topical treatments can go after that edema or fluid buildup. But there's also another form of puffiness which is actually due to fat protrusion. Now this fat protrusion is actually your fat protruding above the septa. And when that happens and above the ligament, you basically have this structure that will respond to no topical treatments and you would actually need a surgical blroplasty to get rid of that. So it's important to know that topical treatments can go after the puffiness due to fluid retention, but it can't fat protrusion. Now, without further ado, let's talk about remedy for dark circles and what we put into this product. Now, when it comes to packaging, this comes in a tube. A lot of people actually prefer tubes cuz they make sure they can get everything out of it. It also comes with a ceramic applicator tip. Now, it looks like the rest of the product, but this product, this is actually ceramic, which actually holds coldness better than even metal does. So, you can put this in the fridge. It's safe to put in the fridge, and it will give you that instant deppuffing just from the coolness of the tip. Now, to target that, three pathways that contribute to discoloration underneath the eyes. We have a pigment complex that targets the discoloration, specifically the genetic discoloration and the pigmentation that comes from rubbing or due to sun exposure. So this is kic acid, nyioinamide and hexylorinol which is one of the best ingredients to go after dark spots. Resourcol is the base of the ingredient thamidol. So they're are very similar ingredients when it comes to discoloration. Now when it comes to that vascule we have marine allergies which in many studies have shown to be very beneficial to that vasculature underneath the eyes. So it helps with that ruddiness that redness that occurs and also we have caffeine which is very common in other eye treatments. And then finally, for that thin skin, in order for it to become less translucent and less visible and more resilient and even go after some of the fine lines and wrinkles that develop around the eyes, we have an ingredient called matricxel, which is a combination of peptides that really help to support your collagen. So, this formula targets all three pathways that contribute to dark circles and it also helps with that puffiness due to the edema or the fluid buildup that's inside of the tissues. Now, the results from our studies have been absolutely phenomenal with this product. I was personally blown away and when I showed it to my brother, he was so blown away that he didn't even think it was an after photo and he immediately asked to take the only eye treatment that I had left in my house. And so the results for us, we were blown away. And the reality is not everyone is going to get this amazing of results that I'm going to show on the screen here. But if you're consistent with time, you should notice an immediate improvement in puffiness due to edema and the dark circles should start to fade over time. And that collagen support should help the skin become translucent over the course of 8, 9, and 10 weeks. Now, when it comes to texture, it is a very luxurious. I would say it's a cream, like a gel cream consistency, but it does have that buttery finish, and it layers perfectly under makeup. We actually asked people in our study if it layered well under makeup, and 100% said

that it would layer well with their makeup and not cause any peeling. And so, you can be safe to apply makeup under this, and it's not going to cause any creasing. I'm personally very excited about this product. I cannot wait for all of you to try it. And I want to give you a quick update on what's going on at Remedy. Thanks to all of you, we were able to launch in Target, which was my dream for the brand since the very beginning, and we were able to execute that. But not just that, when we launched Target, all of you showed up. And I know it's a lot of you who watch our YouTube videos because I met a lot of you in person when we did our Target tour. And so you'll notice that our prices are starting to come down on newer SKs. So new products that we launch are going to be lower price than our previous products.
