Behind the vid, Millennial Optimism. This video is at 168,000 views in a little over two weeks, and it took me 55 hours to make. So, how did this video rank in YouTube Studio? YouTube Studio ranks videos 1 to 10. One being the best, 10 being the worst of your last 10 videos. And this one hovered around a 56ish, which I'm definitely happy with. At this point, I'm like, just don't be a 10. Don't hurt me like that. The views, 168,000 is pretty good, though. At the peak of my channel, my videos would get like 100,000 views in the first 24 hours and then they would average at least 250,000 views total. And I know that ups and downs on YouTube and social media are very normal, but it can still be very disappointing and I'm finding it hard to like readjust these metrics in my own brain. But I also know there are reasons for this. Like I think my channel's in a little bit of a lull right now because first of all commentary is getting so competitive. There are way more channels making commentary videos or video essays. There's a lot of content to choose from. It's hard to stand out. And also I've posted less frequently in the last yearish, especially the last 7 months since I had a baby. I've been pretty busy and I'm still trying to figure out my workflow and strike that balance of doing enough to be able to maintain this. But I'm not going to lie, it's been very hard to work. Anyway, let's talk about the hours. Writing took 26 and 1/2 hours. Editing 15. The sponsor took 6 hours, which is definitely high. But this one included an Instagram story. And I ended up like getting ready multiple times and filming a few times over different days to make sure I got the right like B-roll. So, that took longer than usual. And everything else, getting ready, filming, final touches were another 7 and 1/2 hours. Again, total 55. Anyway, I really enjoyed this video.
