I have participated in every bad decision that I have ever made I want you to repeat after me out loud everybody just say this you decide one more time you decide there are people who work with you and for you who would almost faint to hear you say that they are dying for you to listen to what they're trying to do or problem they're trying to solve and they would love for you to just look at them and say you decide because what you're saying is this that's your area of expertise you know more about that than I do I trust your judgment better than my judgment I have the authority you have the confidence leading yourself well is not an essential for being a leader but leading yourself well is essential if you want to be a leader worth following a leader with sustained influence performance and every day of your life every day of my life we will be tempted to stopped for immediate over ultimate but don't do it the person the mirror is counting on you and not only is the person in the mirror counting on you for most of us there are some other smaller faces and smaller mirrors that are counting on us as well
