Hey, welcome back. Today we're going to be taking a look at how to monetize your podcast using Libson automatic podcast ads. If you've ever wondered how to turn on revenue for your show with just a few clicks, this is the walkthrough for you. In this clip, podcast support extraordinaire Amelio covers exactly how to get enrolled in the program, including setting up your payment details, choosing an ad category that fits your audience, placing ad markers within your episodes, and even how to apply those ad settings to your entire back catalog instantly. So, if you've been chomping at the bit to start monetizing your podcast with automatic ads, this walkthrough is for you. So, with that said, let's get started. Now, if you haven't enrolled in ads yet, what you can do is go over to this little gear icon, the settings icon, and choose advertising. The only three things you need to include there, your PayPal email account, so that we can pay you. Your category selection, so whether you want open, middle of the road, or cautious. And then you check the mark to agree to the terms. and then your submission gets sent in. We make sure on the back end everything is set up there. And then once you do that, you are now enrolled in advertising in our automatic ads program. So from there, what you'll see is this advertising button now changes from this over to this, which is your advertising settings, right? And so this is going to be your pre-roll ads and your post roll ads as a whole. And so what you can do here is you can adjust those. So whether you want it for all episodes on to have some pre-roll there or off or you can choose to set them by episode and then you can choose the number that you want to have for each of those pre-roll slots. You can monetize your whole back catalog easily with a click of a button. That's going to be these buttons right here. Apply pre-roll settings to all past episodes so that the settings you choose here will apply to all of your back catalog and easily help you to monetize your podcast there. Um, by default, this is going to be set to two pre-roll ads and two post roll ads, but I did want to change this so you could see within the platform how this looks. So, I changed the post roll ads to set by episode. Now, if we go into our episodes, what you'll then see are these numbers here. And so, it shows you the number of pre-roll ads, the number of midroll ads, and the number of post roll ads. And say you have multiple midroll ads, it's going to show you the total number. Right here I have a two and a one. So that's why it adds up to three. And if we want to create a new episode, I'm going to show you what that looks like for adding mid rolls in there. Right. So you have your new episode here. I'm going to go ahead and add a new media file. And so we have that file that is now uploaded. I'll fill this in here. And as you scroll down, you'll see this waveform pop up here. Right? So with this, you can choose the midroll slots that you want. So you have some controls here to be able to zoom out so that you can see the full episode there. This is 8 minutes and 30 seconds long. And you'll see in here that there are a few slots that I have predetermined that are going to be my midroll slots. So when you're recording in the future, you may want to keep that in mind for some different places that you're going to insert these midroll slots. And so what I can do is I can click over here and then zoom in to make sure it's exactly where I want and I have that here. Good to go. I'm going to place this exactly in the middle. If I want to audition that and hear what's coming before and after that to make sure it's in the exact right place, you can go ahead and click play here. And so I know that's already set there. So what I want to do is click add slot, right? And then from there you can choose how many ads you want there. whether you want one, two, three, or four. I'm going to select three here. And then you'll see that ad slot stays right there. Now, if I want to put another one here, I can go ahead zoom in, make sure that's all set. Maybe I want to put one there. Right. So, that's all set there. And so, now I have two different midroll slots that I've chosen. The first one has three ads. The next one has one ad. And then I'm all set and ready to go. Now, I did choose in the advertising menu there that I did want to select post roll by episode. So, I have the option here to turn this on or off. And so, you'll see this little yellow marker here for a post roll on and off there. And then you can select the number of ads that you want there as well. So, that's customizable as well. Once you click publish, it'll go ahead and publish that episode as normal. I'm just going to go ahead and click out of here. And so, that's what this will look like. So, now you have those pre-rolls. You have those mid rolls and you have your post rolls all ready to go. One thing I did want to mention is how these slots get filled, right? It kind of goes through a three-step filtering proc process, right? So, we're going to pull ads from our available inventory. We have a great team at Libson Ads that works with a lot work with a lot of different advertisers to get these ads for you and have a great inventory. Next, it's going to be filtered through your category

selection. So again, those open, middle of the road, or cautious selection. Um, you can kind of choose that depending on your audience and what you'll think they want to hear, what's appropriate for them. But I will say obviously if you choose a more open category, there are more ads to pull from. So there's a greater chance of getting all of those slots filled much more easily. And then the listener or downloader demographic plays into that. Once you click publish, it doesn't automatically put a bunch of random episodes that won't apply to your listener. Once the listener clicks download on your episode, that's when those ads get put into that episode so that they'll hear things and ads that apply to them specifically. The biggest takeaway here is that you do not need a massive audience to start making money with your podcast. Using Libson automatic podcast ads, you literally can start making money on day one.
