## Транскрипт

### Intro []

In this video, you'll learn how to set up a sign-up flow in Beehiiv. With sign-up flows, you can control exactly what happens after someone subscribes to your publication. So, instead of just seeing a generic confirmation message, you can actually guide new subscribers through a series of steps and pages that help grow your audience, collect feedback, and make a good first impression. Let's get straight into it.

### Getting Started [0:20]

To get started, go to the website builder in Beehiiv, and from here, click on settings in the left-hand panel. Then, click on sign-up flows. This is where you'll see all of your

existing sign-up flows and where you can create new ones. To create a new sign-up flow, click add sign-up flow in the top right corner. From here, you'll be taken to the sign-up flow editor, where you can build out your flow step by step. Once you land on this page, you'll see that your flow already has a starting trigger, which is signed up. This basically means this flow will be activated or begin when someone subscribes to your publication. From here, click the plus icon to add your first step. You'll see a menu with a few different actions you can choose from, including redirect to page, redirect to URL, and open modal. In this example, let's start by selecting open modal. This option lets you display a login, sign-up, or recommendations modal to your new subscribers. Now that I've selected open modal, I can now click on select modal. This allows me to choose from the different options I just mentioned. From here, I'll select the recommendations modal. This will essentially show my new subscribers a list of other publications that I recommend right after they sign up. This is a great way to grow my audience

through cross-promotion. Now, let's add another step to this flow. Click on the plus icon again, and this time we'll select redirect to page. This action allows you to send subscribers to a page on your Beehiiv website. Now that I've selected redirect to page, I can now click select page. Here, I'll click on dynamic pages. Now, I'll select surveys. Then, click on select page. Now, on the right-hand side under survey form, I can click on this drop-down and select the specific survey I'd like to show to my new subscribers. This is a great way to collect any useful information about my audience right from the start. This may include things like their first name, phone number, interests, or even how they found me. Now, finally, I'll add one more step. Here, I'll click on the plus icon again and select redirect to page, and then click select page. But, this time I'll click on custom pages to see the custom pages that I've created on my Beehiiv website. And here, I'll select that welcome page that I previously made to send my new subscribers to. This could be a page that introduces

your publication, shares what to expect, or even highlights your best content. And you can easily create a custom page like this by clicking on add page under custom pages in the website builder. Now that we've created our sign-up flow, there are a few optional settings that you can toggle on. For example, on the very last step of your sign-up flow, you'll notice there's a toggle that says, "On finish, redirect back to starting page. " If you toggle this on, once a subscriber reaches the end of that step, they'll be redirected back to the page they originally subscribed from. Keep in mind, this only works for internal Beehiiv pages. If you're using the redirect to URL action to send subscribers to an external site, that step will act as the final step in the flow, so you won't see this option. But, if you were to choose the redirect to page action, you would see the setting. You'll also see two other optional settings on the right-hand side. The first one is set as default, which will essentially apply the subscribe flow to all of your subscribe forms across your site. This means whenever you insert a new subscribe form on any of the pages on your website, it will automatically have this subscribe flow set. And the other optional setting is show site navigation, which will allow you to display or hide your site's navbar and footer on the pages during the sign-up flow. Now, lastly, you can also assign a specific sign-up flow to any individual subscribe form element on your website. This is useful if you created more than

one sign-up flow. To do this, in the website builder on any of the pages, go to any subscribe form element and click on it. And now, on the right-hand side under sign-up flow, you'll be able to select from a drop-down that lets you choose which specific sign-up flow to assign to that specific form. As mentioned before, by default, it'll be set to whatever flow you marked as your default, but you can override this and assign any flow that you've created. That's it for this video.
