— Perks of being a BenQ ambassador is that I always get the latest and greatest monitors from BenQ for testing. This time I got my hands on the BenQ Creative Pro PD2770U monitor, which merges the DNA of the SW and PD series featuring Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 color space. In addition to being hardware calibrated with the awesome new magnetic shading hood and a built-in calibrator. So, this monitor, in a way, is the first in the BenQ lineup that learned and inherited the best aspect of the SW series, which was more aimed at photographers, and the PD designers. Hence, the name Creative Pro, which is aimed at anyone who is serious about creation in general. And it's worth mentioning that Creative Pro is the new sub-brand for all the BenQ PD, SW, and PV series monitors, which is a clever way to differentiate them and help customers to know who exactly is the target audience. The standout features and specs of this monitor for me has to be the nano matte black finish, which I already really liked on the PD2730S that I tested last year. It's a 4K monitor with 163 PPI pixel density. It covers 99% of Adobe RGB and also 99% DCI-P3, 100% Rec. 709 or sRGB, and it has a 10-bit color space. There are two HDMI connectors on the back, — one DisplayPort. It also has two USB-C connectors, out of which one also can support charging laptops if you connect it through that. What's new is that connect an Ethernet or LAN cable directly to the back of the monitor, which can allow centralized color management for studios where there's more of these monitors — using BenQ's DMS local technology where a single PC can manage every monitor and sync the color settings across the team and even schedule automatic calibrations, saving a ton of time and effort. I was always a huge fan of how easy it is to assemble BenQ monitors, and that's still the case for this model. It has all the ergonomic comfort that we used to with BenQ monitors. It has the swivel, the tilt, the pivot, and the height adjustment. And then there is also one of my favorite little gadgets that comes with BenQ monitors, the wireless hotkey puck that syncs with BenQ's Display Pilot 2. It also has this cool new info button on the front, which can quickly show the preferences and settings that your monitor is currently using. And another really cool feature is the magnetic shading hood that is extremely easy to just snap on and use, and whenever you don't need it again, you can just take it off. It literally takes 5 seconds to do it, and it provides an extra elimination of reflections on the screen. Now, let me show you the other standout feature, the built-in calibration, which means you don't actually need a color calibrator device anymore. But even better, the whole process of calibrating the monitor is extremely easy. There is an option to turn on the light sensor for the calibration, which I would recommend always to use. This is, by the way, on the top of the monitor, so make sure you don't cover it up accidentally, especially during calibration. And also worth noting that the monitor won't let you calibrate it unless it has been turned on for at least 30 minutes. That's just to make sure the monitor warms up properly and it gives the most accurate colors for the calibration. The more color modes you add to the color calibration, the longer it's going to take. In my case, it took around 5 minutes with almost all of the color modes selected. And seriously, once the calibration starts and the little built-in calibrator pops up at the top of the monitor, that is just so satisfying to watch. These brilliant innovations coming from BenQ almost every time I get a new model is what makes them unique and what makes me want to keep using these monitors, and I have been using their monitors for almost over 10 years by now. It has been, overall, an amazing experience to use this monitor for the last couple of weeks. I have been working on various creative projects from illustration to video editing, web, and print design. And it always felt great to have so much control over the colors I see on the monitor. And I haven't even talked about features like the corner-to-corner uniformity

the onboard KVM for seamless Mac and PC control, and so much more awesome features that just makes the BenQ Creative Pro PD2770U an excellent choice for anyone who is serious about creation. —
