But, the world still keeps running, and every time you fast forward, you disconnect from what's happening. Your close friends change a lot every 7 years, and even faster if you don't maintain them. Habits change, too. It took humans only a few short years to start ordering food by scanning strange symbols and doing their best work in their pajamas. Skip far enough ahead and your job might not even exist. Around 40% of essential skills will have completely changed by 2030. So, skipping time and training could leave you unemployed.
