Getting started as a consultant or freelancer. That's what I will be focusing on this free series I'll be putting out on the Seattle Data Guy channel for the next few videos where I'll be covering several topics that I'll be going over here in a second. But for anyone new to the channel, hey, my name is Ben Rogojan. I've been consulting and freelancing since I left my job at Facebook back in 2021. And every so often I get people asking, you know, how can I start my own consulting or freelancing journey? So in this series we'll be discussing several key topics about that. So what you can look forward to in this free series is the following. One, we'll be going over where to even start, right? Concepts like picking a niche, figuring out what skills are worth knowing, and some basics around business and LLCs. Next we'll be discussing how to obviously land clients because without clients you don't have a business as a consultant or freelancer. You need a way to get in front of people. We'll be discussing that on the various ways on how to do so. We'll also be discussing pricing and the mistakes I see a lot of people make when they're going around trying to figure out how much to charge and the mentality you should have. And then from there we're going to be going into several other key topics including sales and how you can kind of go through a sales process, metrics. So what metrics actually matter as a consultant? What should you be tracking? How can you improve those metrics if they're not going the right way? Also, the realities of consulting so that if you are on your path and you've maybe gotten stuck or frustrated somewhere, you know, you can kind of watch this video and realize, hey, you're not alone in probably those challenges you're facing. And then finally, if you do get stuck, kind of a video to hopefully get you unstuck from various situations that I know happen to all consultants. So this will be a full series, but if you want free content or similar content on these topics, I actually have a whole community based on this where we already have nearly 2,000 consultants who go and share. I put well over, I think like 50 pieces of content there as well. I'll scroll through the pin post that I have there that you can go to and check out free.
