### Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00) []

One of the most important questions you're going to get asked during the interview process is why do you want to work here? And if you don't have a great answer to this question, they're probably going to go with somebody else who's equally qualified but had a passionate or compelling answer to this really important interview question. And that's no different with Visa. At Visa, they're going to ask, "Why do you want to work at Visa? " And you're going to need to have a great answer. In today's video, I'm going to teach you how to answer this question and give you three great reasons why you'd want to join the company that's going to allow you to answer this question in a highly effective way. Now, this is video three of a four-part series. So, if this is the first video you're seeing, make sure you go to the playlist and watch video one and two and stay to the very end because at the very end, I will tee up the fourth video in the series right here on the screen. And my commitment to you is if you watch all four of these videos, you're going to interview better than 99% of candidates who interview with Visa and in all likelihood get hired. All right, let's go. Okay, so I've been in recruitment for 15 years and I can tell you companies ask this question all the time and it's really important. It's often used as a tiebreaker question because if you get to a final interview, everyone is qualified. So, it's the little things that separate the good candidates from the great candidates. And having a great answer here is certainly one of those things. Now, whenever you're asked this question, you want to use the 50/50 rule. And the 50/50 rule basically states that the first 50% about your answer needs to be about the company. Why is the company attractive? What about them is compelling to you that would make you specifically want to join the organization? Now, the second 50% needs to be about why the job is a good fit for you at this moment in your career. everything you've done to this point, why has it positioned you to be highly effective and interested in this role? And if you can do those two things in an answer, you're going to crush it. Now, let's get to the actual answers. Now, the first answer is the awards answer. So, uh Visa has actually won several really uh impressive awards from an employee perspective. So, Glass Doors, best place to work in 2025 on their list and also Fortune's most admired companies um in 2025. So being on both of these lists is a really good sign. It tells you it's probably a good place to work and it makes for a great answer for this question. So they're going to say, "Hey Ben, why do you want to work at Visa? " And your answer might sound something like this. That's a really good question. And for me, there's actually a few reasons why I'm really interested in pursuing a career with Visa. While I was doing my research, I landed on your page where you shared some of the awards that your company's won and winning, you know, Glass Door's best places to work and Fortune's most admired companies. That's really impressive to me and it says that Visa probably goes out of its way to create a great environment uh for their employees and I would love to work for a company that prioritizes that. Additionally, um I've got about 10 years experience working in AB and then you go on to talk about why you're a good fit for the role. But what I did there was I highlighted that I did research, right? Every HR manager, recruiter, hiring manager loves a wellressearched candidate. But after highlighting that, I talked about the awards they won and why that matters to me because the company was intentional about putting effort there. And then I ended with why I'd be a good fit. Okay. So the next thing is a volunteering or a philanthropy answer. And you can see from right here, Visa has this on their website. You can go check it out. But they have a bunch of different stories about how um you know, their people volunteer and essentially they've created a culture in which you know they're allowing their people to give back to causes that matter to them. And if you're somebody who is passionate about different causes and wants to volunteer and wants to work for an organization that supports this, it's a great way to answer this question. So your answer might sound something like this. Ben, why do you want to work at Visa? Well, that's a really good question and there's a lot of things about Visa that I find really compelling as a candidate, but one thing that really stood out to me personally is when I was on your website and I was reading about your organization, it really inspired me how much Visa supports its employees volunteer efforts. There's a few causes that I have that are really close to me personally and I've been volunteering for years and I would love to work for an organization that empowers its people and supports its people when it comes to their volunteer efforts. Additionally, I've got some really good experience that I think aligns with the role based on the job description. For example, and then I talk a little bit about why I feel a good fit. This should only take you about a minute, a minute and a half to answer. But if you can hit both these things, why it's compelling, why you're a good fit, do it in less than 90 seconds, and say it in a way that's passionate, you're going to do great. Let's go to the next one. Now, the next one is a corporate responsibility and sustainability uh answer. And the reality is there's a lot of huge companies in the world and some of them do things uh to help the communities they exist within and some don't. And for you, if that's something you're passionate about, if you feel like you want to work for a company that is there for profit but also for good and does things to make sure um they're giving back, this is a great way to answer. And

your answer might sound something like this. Ben, why do you want to work at Visa? You know, that's a good question. There's a lot of things about Visa that I find appealing, but one of the things that I really liked when I was doing my research prior to this or um this interview is I went on your about us page and I was reading about your corporate responsibility and sustainability efforts. And for me, I just think that's really important um in my career. I want to be really successful and I want to achieve a lot of things, but I think it's also important along the way to be giving back and I want to work for an organization that also feels that way. So seeing that Visa does do this was really compelling to me. Additionally, I've experienced doing and then I'd talk about why is a good fit for the role. Probably take another 30 seconds to do that. Um, and if you can do that, you're going to nail it. All three of these answers are really good and you want to choose the one that for you like really hits home because they're going to hear it in your voice. Now, the next thing you're going to need to do in your interview with Visa is you're going to need to have good questions to ask them at the end of the interview. It's the last chance you have to separate yourself as a great candidate. And it's why I made this video here. This video here is going to give you five great questions you can ask in your interview that will elevate you as a candidate and get you uh this much closer to getting a job offer. So, I'm done here, but I'll see you over
