### intro []

So, you're a student, a very ambitious student, but also slightly delusional because you told yourself at the beginning of the semester that this time I'm going to stay on top of everything. And now it's 2 days before the exam, you haven't opened half of the lectures, your notes are questionable at best, and suddenly you're like, "Oh, this is bad. " Yeah. So, that was me last week, and somehow I survived. Not only did I survive, but I did well. So, this video is for my fellow crammers, the ones who don't start early, who don't have their life together, but still want to pull it off last minute. Should we fix this habit? Yes. Are we going to do it right now? No. So, let's lock in. —

### dont cover everything [0:37]

— Rule number one, stop trying to cover everything. This is where people mess up immediately. You do not have time to relearn the entire course. Be serious. What you need to do is figure out what actually matters. Look at lecture objectives, practice questions, past exams, anything your professor emphasized, and focus on high-yield content. Cramming's not about knowing everything, it's about knowing the right things. Rule number two, learn in

### learn in layers [0:58]

layers, not all at once. Instead of sitting there for 6 hours trying to understand one topic perfectly, don't. Do fast passes. First pass, you skip everything, get the general idea. The second pass, you actually understand key concepts. The third pass, you test yourself. This is so much faster than trying to master things in one go. Your brain needs repetition, not perfection. Rule number three, blurting method. This

### blurting method [1:19]

one changed my life. This is my holy grail. You read a topic, close everything, write down everything you remember. No notes, no cheating. Then you check what you missed and fill in the gaps. It's basically active recall, but more aggressive, and it forces your brain to actually work, which is exactly what you need when you're short on time.

### teaching someone dumb [1:36]

Rule number four, study like you're teaching someone dumb. And I mean this in the nicest way possible. If you can explain a concept in the simplest, most basic way, you know it. So, I literally sit there and explain topics out loud like I'm teaching a child or a person I'm filming a YouTube video. If I get stuck or start rambling, yeah, I don't know it well enough. Fix it and move on. Rule number five, switch

### switch locations [1:54]

locations when your brain dies. Cramming is exhausting, and after a few hours, your brain just stops working. Instead of forcing it, change your environment. Go from your desk to the library to the floor, literally anywhere. It sounds stupid, but it resets your focus instantly. Same brain, new setting equals new energy. Rule number six, use

### time pressure [2:11]

time pressure to your advantage. You don't have time to be slow, so set timers, like aggressive ones. Okay, I have 40 minutes to learn this entire lecture. You'd be surprised how much faster you move when there's pressure. Cramming is literally about urgency. Use it. Rule number seven, don't study the

### study for hours [2:25]

same way for hours. If you're just reading your notes for 5 hours straight, you're wasting your time. Rotate, review, test yourself, write, explain, practice questions. Keep your brain engaged because once you get bored, your attention drops to zero. Rule number

### the night before [2:39]

eight, the night before is not for learning. This is where most people sabotage themselves. The night before is for reviewing summaries, looking over key concepts, light testing, not trying to learn brand new topics. At that point, you're just stressing yourself out. Rule number nine, your morning

### your morning [2:52]

matters more than you think. Do not wake up and go straight on your phone. I'm so serious, you're frying your brain before you even start. Instead, wake up, review your summary, test yourself lightly, ease into it. Keep your brain calm and focused. Rule number 10, stop telling

### youre going to fail [3:05]

yourself you're going to fail. Because if you sit there thinking, "I'm screwed, I don't know anything, I'm going to fail," well, you're going to panic, freeze, and waste the little time you have left. You don't need to know everything, you just need to know enough and stay calm. Confidence is literally part of the strategy. All right, so if you're watching this 2 days before exam, well, you're in the right place. Is this ideal? No. Is it realistic? Yes. And if you do this right, you can still walk into the exam feeling prepared. Now, close this video, actually close it, and go study.
