### Segment 1 (00:00 - 03:00) []

Now I want you all to imagine this. A hallway that is long and expansive. Within this hallway are doors, a neverending amount of doors lined up next to each other. Behind each of these doors are unlocked and unique experiences waiting to be unearthed. Some doors might be sealed shut while others wide open inviting you in. How would you feel if you were confined to such a space? Would you feel uncertain, fearful, or even intrigued? Well, at times our lives can feel like this infinite hallway of doors, right? We're bombarded with choices left and right. Decisions become so stressful and so difficult. For fear, we make one wrong move. Many find it hard to determine which doors to avoid and which doors to step through. Now last year there was a door in my life that I was hoping to step through when it closed on me. I was a secondary one student in the midst of choosing our co-curricular activities. Now, my eyes were dead set on the school's art club CCA when that was the CCA I had joined in primary school. It was only right I further pursued this passion because it was my strong suit, my forte. So, one could only imagine the disappointment that I felt when I found out I had not made the cut. Wait, what? cut? I thought I did well for the CCA trials, let alone pass. Well, it was out of my hands, and I had no choice but to make do with what I had. Yes, I felt a dark and heavy cloud of disappointment and regret looming over my small body. But I didn't allow that to consume me any further or affect my motivation, but rather I allowed myself to step through that new door that had opened for me. And because of that, I can now stand here and say that I'm a proud and joyful singer of my school's jam band, CCA, with a burning passion for performing on stage. Now, yes, not everyone here will relate to such a story or you might even see it as super cliche, but there are two really important things that I hope everyone take away from this story. The first one being don't let your fear, doubts, and uncertainties stop you from unlocking that all the possibilities life has to offer. Now in this hallway of doors, not every single one of them will lead to a desired outcome or expectation.
