## Транскрипт

### Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00) []

What causes visceral fat to pile up? Number one, drinking too much alcohol cuz it strains your liver and it's full of empty calories. Number two, eating too much fructose. Excessive consumption of fruit juice or soda, for example, and the high fructose load could go straight to your liver and get converted into fat. This is because fructose is almost completely metabolized by your liver. When your liver gets flooded with fructose like from a classic soda with 300 calories, it has no way to slow it down. So, the extras could get converted into fat. Number three, being sedentary. When you don't move, your body has no reason to use that deep fat. Number four, we've covered already but chronic stress and poor sleep. High cortisol levels tells your body to store fat around your organs. That is why cutting out alcohol, reducing added sugars, and moving your body are some of the best changes you can make to drop visceral fat and reverse insulin resistance. For extra brownie points cuz I know you want those, daily walking is shown in studies to increase fat oxidation, reduce visceral fat, and improve insulin sensitivity. In fact, movement is so effective at reducing visceral fat that the Japanese sumo wrestlers have less visceral fat than other people of the same weight. Who knew leaving the sofa to touch grass could be so good for you?
