Do you wish you can talk to your automations instead of building them? Now you can with Zapier's new model context protocol servers. With Zapier's MCPs, your AI can now connect directly to your apps as a system hub for your tasks. With this new MCP, your AI can do more than just answer questions. It can read your data, create contacts, send messages, update records, and more. Let me show you how to set it up. To open up your Zapier MCP, select the MCP button on the start from scratch tab on the main page. From there, you can select the agent you'd like to use for your Zap. For this app, I'm going to use Claude. I'll select Claude on the drop down menu, and we'll be provided with a prompt. I could then copy and paste that prompt onto my Claude chat. If you haven't already done so, you'll need to allow Claude to suggest connectors. Select turn on and the Zapier app will appear in the registry. From there, you can install your account. Click connect and you'll be taken to the Zap Your Access page. Copy the prompt below and then click continue. From there, select the account you'd like to set up your MCP with and then click allow. Once that's complete, you'll be taken back to your Claude page and can paste the prompt that you've previously copied from the first access page. Send off the pasted prompt and then Claude will ask for permissions for onboarding skills. For each of these skills, select always allow. Great. Once we've done that, it'll tell you the apps that are already connected. If you want to connect more apps, you can now type the app that you want to connect directly into Claude. Let's say I want to connect Air Table. I can type the app into the prompt bar and then select always allow one more time. From there, Claude will send you a link to log into your account. Click the link which will direct you back to your Zapier page and hit connect. From there, you can sign in and authorize the app account of your choice. Now that you're connected, just tell Claude what you want to do with it. And if you're unsure where to start, you can just ask Claude what to do and it'll give you some suggestions. For HubSpot, you can pull and find data, create and update data, or you can connect apps together like you would with a normal standard Zap. And that's it. With Claude connected, you could say things like, "Summarize everything that came in this week," or, "Find the leads I haven't followed up with. " There's so many different possibilities. You can draft replies, create deals, or log a note from your call. Stuff that used to take clicking through four different apps, you can now just type out loud.
