A question we get from people who own both a personal and a business account is, "How do you transfer money between them? " We've even seen comments suggesting you can only have one type of account or the other, but not both, which, of course, isn't true. You can have one personal account and multiple business accounts for each of your businesses. If you need to set up another account, it's easy. Just tap on your profile icon in the app or on the desktop, select open an account, and pick the one that you need. Once you're all set up, the transition between them is seamless. In this short guide, we'll show you how to move money between your Wise personal and business accounts. I'm Tom from Wise. Let's get started. All right. So, you have both your personal and business accounts set up. You can switch between them instantly, right here in the app. And here is how it works on the web. Generally, the need to move money between profiles comes down to good money management. You use your business account for all business operations and your personal account for personal spending. This makes it easier to track your expenses. So, how does it work? I'll show you a simple way to do it. Let's say you've just paid yourself dividends from your business account and want to move that money to your personal one for daily spending. First, you need the details of the account you're sending money to, in this case, your personal account. Go to the account that will receive the money and tap the profile icon. You'll see your Wise tag there. Tap and hold it to copy. A notification will appear at the bottom confirming that the Wise tag has been copied. Now, switch back to the account you'll be sending money from, in our case, the business account. And tap the send button. Next, add the account that you want to send money to as a recipient. Choose add recipient, pick the currency you want to receive money in, and then choose search on Wise. Here, you will need to enter the Wise tag of the receiving account or its email or phone number. We already have our personal Wise tag copied earlier, so let's just paste it in. After that, set up a transfer by choosing the currencies you are sending from, and the amount you want to send, — or the exact amount you want to get. If there is a currency conversion involved, you'll see the exchange rate, which is always the mid-market one, and our small fee. If there's no conversion, the transfer between your Wise accounts is free. All that is left to do is just review and complete the transfer. The great thing is, you only have to add a recipient once. The next time you want to send money, your other account will already be saved in your recipients list, making future transfers even faster. Transfers from a personal account to a business account work exactly the same way. First, copy your business account's Wise tag. Then, switch to your personal account. Tap send, and add your business account as a recipient by pasting the Wise tag you copied earlier. After that, just follow the steps to complete the transfer. — So, there you have it. Now you know how to move money between your Wise accounts with just a few taps.
