### Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00) []

Hey there, I'm Jake with NextDa and in this video I'm going to show you how to register your business phone numbers for 10 DLC so that your customers can easily connect with your business via text. It only takes a few minutes and gives you the ability to connect with your customers the way they want with verified business texting that protects your brand and builds trust. Once you're logged in, click the admin icon, scroll down to SMS text, and click start registration. Choose your company type here. You'll enter business details on the next screen. Make sure your legal name matches exactly what's on your tax ID registration. Even small discrepancies here can slow down approval. On the company consent screen, we'll add details on how you get permission to text. Did they opt in on your website, over the phone, through a form? Just describe your opt-in process. Uploading screenshots of the actual opt-in screens can speed up approvals. On the messaging plan screen, we'll pick how many numbers need texting. We'll give it a description of the message types we'll be sending and choose message categories. Follow the suggestions here and be specific to ensure a smooth review process. Fill in the customer prompts that you'll use here. Make sure to include the brand name that matches the one you used in the brand registration screen exactly and match the provided phone formatting as well. On the message content screen, we'll choose what types of links we'll send and add sample messages. Finally, we'll add a privacy policy link. Your policy needs to be publicly accessible and explain how customer data is handled. Confirm that you won't use these messages for affiliate marketing and click submit. You'll see a notice about the registration. This fee comes from the campaign registry and is required for submission. That's it. Approvals can take between 15 and 20 business days, and you can check back here for updates anytime. With 10DLC, you'll be able to connect with customers in more ways than ever.
