Hi, it's Phil. In this GoHighLevel tutorial for beginners, I'm going to show you how to get set up with GoHighLevel right from the very beginning. So, if you're someone that's just joined HighLevel, if you're trying to figure out what you should actually be doing, watch this video and by the end of it, you'll be set up and good to go. So, here is a brand new GoHighLevel account and what I'm going to be doing is setting everything up from scratch so we can actually start building and using GoHighLevel. So, we're going to be working in inside what's called a sub-account. A sub-account is where you can host all of your marketing efforts, things like your contacts, your sites, your automations, everything like that. There's also what's called an agency view, but this is more the agency level types of things, which you don't really need to worry about if you're setting up your business for yourself. I'll also link to another video explaining more how this works, but if you can see these, that's perfect. Let's continue from here. If you see other options there, what I want you to do is click on this little switcher here, click on the sub-account that's been created, and this is where we're going to work. Once you're inside of here, let's go right

down to the bottom, let's click on settings, and let's start customizing it. So, the first thing to note is this is the business profile settings. If you fill out this page properly, it's going to integrate a lot of different features inside of GoHighLevel using this information. For example, if you add in your legal business name, your email, and phone number, this is going to integrate with things like invoicing. So, a lot of the work gets set up from this single page. So, what I'm going [snorts] to do now is just run through this real quick. So, friendly business name here. This is what changes the name up the top. So, for this I'm going to talk about a hypothetical business called Genius Templates. Legal business name can also be Genius Templates, maybe LTD. Right, business email can be hello@geniustemplates. Okay. We'll leave the business phone number as it is. Now, this branded domain right here, what this basically means is if you send an email and someone clicks on that link inside of an email, this is going to be what's that redirection link looks like. So, for example, I would do something like link. geniustemplates. com. And the cool thing with HighLevel is they go ahead and actually map everything for you. So, if you already have your domain, go ahead click on add domain. It's going to figure out where your domain is hosted and it's going to set that up for you. Now, for this example, I'm just going to leave that as is um just for the sake of time. So, the business website, if you have one already, you can add this here. So, I'm going to put Genius Templates. Right. And if you haven't yet, I'll show you how you can get domains and that as well. Business niche, you want to add what it is. Choose your business currency. This is going to change the currency on the entire account. And as we come down, you can see we've got business information. Now, once again, I highly recommend filling out as much as you can. This, for example, uh caters to if you want to send SMS messaging, you need to have all of these things filled out. So, just come through, choose the most accurate one for your business, okay? And the same [snorts] thing up here, physical business address and we've got authorized representative. So, fill out these as much as possible. And the last one here is going to be general. Now, I highly recommend this setting here, verify email address when first email is sent to a new contact. I highly recommend activating this. This is going to actually save your email deliverability. Uh if people just put in spammy things and it's get sent, then it's going to hurt your email deliverability. So, check that one. Um and also check this bottom one here, make email compliant by adding unsubscribe to all of it. Now, everything else you can kind of leave for now. Go ahead and click update information and we've got the first part of your high-level account done. If you're not up to here right now, press pause, finish this page, and we can continue moving forward. Now, the next thing you are going to want to get is a

domain. Now, if you haven't yet purchased a domain, the easiest way is to purchase it from GoHighLevel itself. Just click on purchase domain. You're going to get really competitive pricing here, and you can basically search it from scratch. If you already have a domain name, you can also just connect a domain just here. I'm just going to use the funnel website store blog webinar option. You can see it we've got different options down here as well. I'm going to click on connect. I'm going to put inside here genuis templates. com. I'm going to click on continue, and this is going to automatically find out where my domain is hosted, and it's going to automatically add in the DNS records required to add it here. So, you can see this is going to add in these uh I'm going to click on continue, and this is automatically going to find out where my domain is currently hosted, and it's going to add these records to my account. So, I'll go ahead, click on continue, and this is just going to take a few moments, and then it's going to ask for your permission, and it's basically going to do the work for you. And for this page, I recommend we just use the top option, the funnel website store blog and webinar, and this is just going to be basically the front of your website and what people see when they go to your website. So, click on connect, type in your domain that you have. So, I've got genuis templates. com. Click on continue, and this is going to find out where your domain is currently being hosted, and it's going to add in the records required to point it to Go High Level um by itself. So, sometimes you'll see this uh error coming back in, that's fine. I'll just try it again. All right, and click on authorize domain, and it's just going to log into my account really quick. Okay, and as you can see, it is asking to add these records to my domain. I'm going to click on authorize, and you can see this is now being added in just a few moments, we're going to be able to use this domain on our new uh Go High Level account. All right, so that has now finished, and as you can see, we don't have any funnels or anything uh ready just yet, but this has been connected, so we can click proceed to finish. And now our domain is available inside of Go High Level. Now, if you wanted to add in something like your own membership course or community, you can also just click connect a domain again, go to this time to client portal, all right, and then you can type inside here uh the subdomain. So, I would put inside of here maybe members. uh genius templates. com. Click on add domain, and once again, it's just going to go through the exact same process. This just means now you have a client portal where people can log in to your business, they can access your courses, your community, and so forth. So, we'll leave that for now, and let's continue moving forward. So, after

we have our domain connected, after we've got our business profile connected, the next thing I would highly recommend doing is email services. Now, right out of the bat, you're going to be using what's called a shared domain. This means that many people are going to be using this particular sending email domain to use for their accounts, and unfortunately, that means your deliverability might get hurt. So, what I recommend you do is click on this add a dedicated domain, and it's going to say here, "What do you want to use for your domain name? " Just use something like m. geniustemplates. com, all right, and click add and verify. And what this means is all the emails are going to be sent from this exact domain. And the reason we do this is if you have big outreach campaigns and a lot of people potentially um flag it or unsubscribe and things like that, it's still protecting your main domain, but it's still also improving your deliverability. So, I highly recommend using m. whatever your domain is or something similar. It's just going to save a lot of time. So, here are the records that are going to be added this time. Click on authorize, okay? And now this is going to be added. And there is one more step to do as well. In fact, we'll just wait a few moments. Click on verify domain. Depending on where your domain is hosted, it could take a little bit of time. So, I'm just going to pause the video and let you know how long this takes. All right, so I waited probably about 20 seconds and hit refresh. I'll try it one more time. Okay, and now that is good to go. Now, just before we complete this entire setup, there is one more thing we need to do. At the top left here, you can see these three dots. Click on that and click on set headers. And inside here, what you want to do is once again add in your name. So, I'm just going to put uh genius templates, okay? And the email that you want to send from. So, I'm going to put hello@geniustemplates. com. Click on save. And boom, this is now ready to use for sending emails. Perfect. Okay, so now on

the left, we have got the business profile email settings. We've also got our domain ready. The last thing we want to do is add in some integrations, especially if you want to make sure everything is ready to roll as you start scaling. So, let's just quickly run through some of these because these are pretty cool, but you don't need to overdo it with integrations. So, first of all, Google. If you use Google Workspace, for example, Gmail, this is a an amazing integration to add because your emails will then come into your conversations tab and you can actually reply just from your phone and keep all of the emails back and forth between your contact in a single panel. So, I highly recommend just following the prompts inside of here. You also get access to all of your Google Analytics and things like that as well. We've got Facebook here if you want to also have your Facebook and Instagram DMs come through the Lead Connector app. Extremely valuable, you can also do things like DM automations. Highly recommend doing that. We've also got places like WhatsApp, LinkedIn, you've got messaging, but the one I really recommend you do right now is going to be the payments and checkouts. If you want to sell products, you're going to need to add in a payment gateway. So, come inside of here, click on manage, and you want to add in a particular payment gateway. I've already added Stripe inside of here just to save a bit of time, but you can also add PayPal and any other ones that you want down below. So, once you've got that done, we're actually in a pretty good place. So, inside settings once again, if you want to add in a phone number for your business, adding a phone number will give you a new number to use, but this means we can also use GoHighLevel on the back end. This is perfect for things like missed call text backs, sending SMSs to people, actually using the phone and calling people from GoHighLevel itself. You can always forward numbers to your original business number and things like that. But, this is where we can do it. If you want to add in a number right now, you just click add number, you can choose a phone number here, and you can choose where your country is that you want to use it from. So, if you're targeting people, for example, in the United States, you'd definitely want to use an United States number, um and so forth. And you can just come inside here, see what kind of numbers are available, and as you can see, they're extremely cheap. There is cost for using them, but for a countries like America, it's really cheap to use as well. So, choose the number you want to use, you can find a particular number you like, click on proceed to buy, and then from there you can actually go and purchase this particular number. Now, I'm not going to be using this right now. There is a bit of a verification process, but I'll just keep this video going. So, let's get out of here and let's continue moving forward. So

once you have all of these settings done, you're basically at a good enough point where you can start building out different parts of your business inside of GoHighLevel. So, let's click on back and let's go right from the very beginning. If you want to build a website or a funnel inside of GoHighLevel, come down to this sites tab here, and we have at the top here all of the different options. So, we've got funnels, websites, stores, and so forth. So, I'm just going to start off by showing you how to create a simple funnel. We've got a few options inside of here. We've got funnel AI, which is going to build out the elements inside of the page for you. We've got a lot of templates that you can use to start with, or you can start from scratch. There's also another feature called a studio AI, which I won't use inside of this particular video. I'll create a dedicated video for it. But, what I recommend straight off the bat is just coming in templates and having a look around. There is plenty of different options inside of here. And even if you don't find your final template here, it's going to give you a really good idea of how everything works, and then you can work on getting your final template. So, for this example, what I might do is just choose a state management lead magnet, okay? Um [snorts] so, I'm going to choose choose. Feel free to click on preview, have a look what's around. Um but, I'll just keep this tutorial moving forward. All right, and here is our template, good to go. So, let me give you a quick tour of how everything works here. Um there is lots to go through, and I'll shoot many tutorials about these, which once again, you can check down below. I'll give you a link to the playlist. But, quick tour of the page builder. At the top, we have here mobile mode, we've got desktop mode. If you want to change anything already on the page, just simply click on what you want to change. It's going to bring up this right sort of styling type of panel. For example, if you want to change the logo, click on the logo you want to change, click on this little image, and this is going to give you the option to connect to your Google Drive, to Canva, or upload something direct. We've also got a create with AI button if you want to do some AI crafting. But go ahead, change that. You can change the size, the shape, um the actions if someone clicks it, everything right there. We've also got styling if you want to change the padding, the margin, um and any other box shadows and things like that. Plus, we've got animations if you want to add in um different animations. If you click them, it shows you a little preview. Right, and that's basically how the styling works. It works for all of the different elements, okay? So, if you want to change the text size, if you want to change line height, colors, and you can also triple click text to change all the text here as well, which is pretty cool. Now, if you scroll down and there's something missing, you can also come to the top left. We've got this add elements button. This is where you can add in entire columns. You can also add in different elements. You've also got some pre-made ones on the left if you want to start using some of these, if you want to piece together pages yourself. We've also got a marketplace if you want to buy things, but it gives you kind of a rough idea where everything is right off the bat. Now, if we were to just say this was good to go, you'll see at the bottom we've got things here like this crazy short code, which says location email. Let me show you what that actually looks like, and this is why we set up the business profile from the very beginning. So, I'll just let that load. If you scroll to the bottom, you can see it replaces your information with what's already inside of here. It just saves a bunch of time. You don't have to keep editing every page if something changes. It just automatically populates it, right? So, it's pretty cool. So, that is the website. Now, if you were to complete this entire page, you'll probably notice this is a lead generation funnel, but we don't have any forms, so there's nowhere to actually start collecting emails. So, what I'm going to do right now is just click publish, okay, and we'll come back to it in a sec. You can choose the domain that we've already added. Okay, so click on save. And I'm going to go to back once this finishes publishing.

And we're going to go and create a form. So, if you come to the top now, you can see this is our property management funnel. We've got the lead magnet and the thank you once someone fills it out. At the top here, we have forms. Go to the builder, and what we're going to do is create a form. Okay, so click create form. And this is going to give us a pre-created form that we can style, we can add, we can remove, and everything like that. Now, forms are separate from funnels and websites, but we create the forms here, and then we can add them to funnels and websites really easy. We can also embed them without the need of a website on different pages around the internet to keep things nice and simple. Now, in terms of the form name, when it comes to GoHighLevel, once you start building out things, you're going to have lots of funnels, lots of forms, lots of emails, for example, campaigns. So, I always try to name everything in the assets, the funnel or the website, the form, and the email campaign all the same just to make sure we know where things are. So, I'm just going to call this property management because I believe that's what the funnel is. Cool. And let's come through and actually edit what we want inside of this particular form. So, I'll keep first name, last name, phone, email. That's pretty cool. Um you can edit these boxes as well. These are checks check boxes. For example, this is going to be for SMS messaging. Um so, what you want to do is just change the name and info here. So, uh if you were only doing email marketing, for example, I don't even believe you need to have this. So, let's just pretend I'm doing it just for email marketing. I can just delete those bits and pieces, and now we've got a really simple form. Now, if you're embedding this form on somewhere like a website or funnel, and you've got a privacy policy and terms of service listed elsewhere, you don't really need to have it twice, so you can delete it. And there is kind of the final part of it. Now, if you wanted to add anything, there's already pre-created ones on the left. For example, name, email, phone. We've also got things like website. If you wanted to drop in the ability to collect people's websites. We've also got single lines, radios, ratings. Like, everything is inside of here. It's crazy. So, [snorts] if you ever wanted to uh adjust And all of this information then gets stored inside of the contacts account, and I'll show you what it looks like in just a bit. Now, if [snorts] you want to make things required, if you want people to fill these out and not just skip past them, click on the one you want to edit, click on the little cog, and you can see here is some settings for that particular element. So, I'm going to put required for everything because I don't want to have blank spaces. Okay? And it's not going to let them proceed without filling it out. Now, at the top, we've got some more settings if you want to have it. So, uh on submit, where do you want people to go? Now, we can override this inside of the funnel, so you don't have to worry about it if you're embedding it in a funnel. But, if you're embedding this in third-party sites, for example, if you've got a WordPress website or a Wix or something like that, this is where you want to go on submit and change where people are, for example, going to. All right? And eventually, we can see all of the leads that we get inside of here, too. So, that looks pretty cool. I'll just keep it nice and easy. Click on submit. Okay? We've got some options here to integrate it to different platforms. You can get the embed code, all that sort of good stuff. Um but, let's go and leave it as is. Let's click on exit. And now we've got the property management uh form. Let's come back to

funnels. We've got our property management funnel. Okay, let's go on the lead magnet step and let's open it this time in a new tab. Okay, and now what we can do is click on this forms element. Under element options, choose property management. Okay, that's the one we've created. And you can see the form gets added here. Now we've got this button actions use action from form builder. This is the settings that we added in the actual form builder, but once they submit, if you want them to go to the next step, click on go to next step and that's good to go. Now that kind of looks a little bit funny for this particular template. So what I'm going to do is just quickly show you how to also create a pop-up. So I'm going to delete this form element there. I'm going to come to the top and we've got many different options inside of here, but what we want to do is click on pop-up settings. By default, they give you a pop-up as well, so you can click on this little pencil button and here is the pop-up uh template. So click on add, we're going to search for form. Okay, I'm just going to click on form and click on the form element. — [snorts] — Choose your form, property management. Okay, once again, redirect actions go to next step. I'll just get rid of my face in case it covers something. Okay, go to next step, so that's looking good. Now we want to obviously add a little bit of context to this pop-up as well. So underneath the form on the orange thing, you can see a little orange plus. Click on that and this time I'm going to add in headline. Okay, I'm just going to click on it and below that I'm also going to add in I'll just backspace everything paragraph. Okay, and I might just move this form down to the bottom. I'm going to say, "Get your free um What is this? A checklist. Get your free checklist below by filling out this form. " Something like that, right? And if you want to style headlines, just I click on the element you want to style. the right. You can come down here, transform text. I can just capitalize everything. Right? And after you fill out this form, you'll receive the checklist. Okay? Super easy. And that's pretty good to go. So, I'm not going to style this too much. Once again, I've got entire uh trainings on how to do this. I'll link to a playlist below. But, that's looking pretty good. I'm going to click on this little X. And all we need to do now is wire this button to open the pop-up. So, click on the button. Right? Come down to link to under button actions. I'm going to go open pop-up. Right? And choose the pop-up if you've got multiple. Right? And things are pretty good. So, I'm going to click on publish. All right. We've got some SEO settings. And what that basically means is if someone shares this to Facebook or something similar, what do you want it to say? So, I'm going to say uh free tenant screening checklist. Right? And I'll just copy this for the sake of this tutorial. Just to speed it up. Inside here, we can add in keywords. So, property uh tenant checklist. — [snorts] — Author, you can add in your brand. So, mine's going to be Genius Templates. Images, uh this is going to be what's the image you want to be shared. So, highly recommend at least screenshotting this. Uh we've got links and tags, which you don't have to worry about too much. Language and schema markup. Only really worry about this if you want it to rank on Google, but don't spend too long if you're brand new to SEO. But, that's pretty much it. Go click on save and publish one more time. Okay. And we will go now and have a look at this funnel. So, once we've done that, there is still

a few things we want to do. So, if I have a look at the funnel page, it's got Genius Templates {forward slash} lead magnet 4819. That looks kind of strange. But, first of all, let's come to the settings at the top. All right. We've got property management here, and this is the current path. So, what I'm going to do is just put after this path, checklist. Okay? So, if someone goes to genius templates checklist, it's going to activate this entire funnel and go to the first step. You can also upload a favicon to your media storage and get the link and paste it in here. If you want to add in tracking codes, this is where you can do it. And [snorts] uh what else is there? A chat widget. If you want to add a chat widget, you can do so here, but that's basically all you need to do in this page. Click on save. All right. And if we now go to steps, okay? We can go to the publishing, and you can see it's got lead magnet 4819. We can change this to uh just a variation of what you've already got. So, free checklist. All right. And this is just for your back-end reference, so you can easily copy it and check it out. And there's actually one more place where they have another URL for it as well. It's crazy. So, inside here, you can also add in another name. So, I'm just going to say free tenant checklist. Gives you more options if you forget what the URL is to send it here. And this is what is going to be uh showing inside of the funnel step. — [snorts] — So, now this is all done. What we can do is actually test this out. So, I'm going to go click view page. It's going to open up this. I'm going to click on the pop-up. All right. I'm just going to put inside here, Phil Wilson hello@funnelscene. com. Website can be uh There we are. funnelscene. com. Click on submit, and it should redirect us to the next page. Okay, and it is. Thank you for downloading the checklist, and so forth. So, obviously, nothing is being sent right now, so that is going to be the next step. But, if you want to see what's been happening, you can also come inside of stats. This is going to show you how the page is performed. So, we've had page views, we've had opt-ins, conversion rate, and so forth. Right, pretty cool. Now, if we come to contacts, because we've tested out this funnel, what you're going to see is a contact, which is pretty cool. Okay, so these are examples, but this is the one I've just filled out. If you click on that, you can see all of the information that we've collected inside of our form. So, on the left, we've got first name, last name, email. Um it's not verified just yet, but that's fine. And if we come down, we've got here general info, and under website, it's been added. So, pretty cool. Depending on what information you have will uh also appear in here. There's also custom values, custom um things you can add as well, which I'll talk about in a different video.

So, what we're going to do now is just quickly add in a an automation to tag the contact as they come in, plus we're going to send them a quick email. So, what we're going to do is come to automation now on the left. And once this loads, uh we can add in the AI builder. Sure, that's fine. We're not going to do that for this particular workflow. I'm just going to come to create choose start from scratch. There is plenty of templates inside of here. Feel free to explore them. The AI is absolutely incredible as well. Um so, feel free to play around with that, but I'll show you the general gist of how this works. Okay, so first of all, every time I open something new, I name it. So, property management. Okay. Add a new trigger. Click on that. It's going to bring up some options on the right. Okay, and what we want to do is type in form. Okay, so form submitted. Uh workflow trigger name. I'm just going to call this property management form. Okay. Okay, choose add filters. Choose form is. Okay, and you can see we've got our form just there. So, click save trigger. Right, and now we've got something that's going to activate this entire workflow. Next, what we want to do, and this is what I highly recommend you do every time, is add contact tag as soon as someone comes in. And we don't have any tags just yet, well, not ones we want to use. So, what I'm going to do is just type in here property management, okay? And you can click add new tag on the fly and click save action. So, now every time someone comes in here, they're going to get tagged. If you really want to make everything look good, you can come to the add and I'm going to put property management Okay. tag. Click save action, and now that updates. Now, what we want to do is add an email so we can actually email this person. So, type in email, right? And we can say send email. And it's going to bring up a really simple builder. So, if you don't fill out this, it's just going to use what's in the settings or in the site-wide setting for your account. If you want to change it, for example, call it the property management, you can do it inside of here. It's going to default to whatever your email is, so I'm just going to leave it out. And this is where we can add in the subject. I'm going to say your tenant checklist is here. If you want to make a hyper-personalized as well, you could just say you could click on this little button here, this tag, and you can go contact Okay, first name. And this is going to replace this crazy shortcode with the person's name they added. So, this is, for example, going to say Phil, your tenant checklist is here. Okay? And then come down here and we can either choose existing template if you're using templates, or you can use the smart builder, but if you just want to use basic text, this is where you can do it. I will say hey, and then we've got this little tag again, hey contact first name. — [snorts] — Uh you're interested in our property checklist. Here it is. I'll just write something out really quick. I'll write something simple for this demo. You can see I used this business name variable. Uh it doesn't really matter I guess if your business isn't going to change names, but if you ever did, it would update if you use this info. So, that's good. If you want to track clicks, if you want to see if people are actually um clicking on the link, we should probably add in a link as well, I should probably say. So, highlight the text you want to use, click add link. I'm just going to put here um just my website for now, just so it's got something. Click save. Oh, action. Um same window, click save. Okay, save action. Oh, we're having some issues. I see because I put the name, I need to put in an email as well. So, I'll just uh put in here hello@geniustemplates. com. Okay, click on save. Right, and now we are done. So, if you want to publish this, you can go and click publish, click on save, and now this entire automation is done. So, if you wanted to actually test out this entire funnel from scratch, now we should actually get uh all of the info working. So, I'm just going to put uh farewell sent test uh sorry, hello plus two@funnel seen. com, and I'll put this one as a different website, so wilson. co. Click submit. And this should now send me an email. So, if I come back to workflow list at the top left, if I come to contacts now, all right, and we've got our new contact. You can see we've got a property management tag under tags. You've got last activity right now. If we click on this contact's name, what's This is what I absolutely love about GoHighLevel, you can see all of the emails that have been sent. So, this email's been sent to the person. It's already added the unsubscribe button. This is perfect. We can see all the activity, and if you see we've got under tags property management. So, everything has worked perfectly. I'll pause the video and actually um pull up my email account. All right, and you can see here from Genius Templates, your property checklist. Here it is. Um if we click on the link, it's going to take me to my website, which is just loading. All right, so that's worked perfectly. So, it's looking pretty good. In fact, if I reload this page, it should actually say that I've clicked on the email as well. So, inside of contacts, if you want to categorize what you see to see how many people you have in particular lists, for example, I'll just come back to contacts. We'll go through quickly through smart lists. So, you can see we've got multiple tags here. Everything's kind of scattered, but maybe you want to see all of your contacts in a specific tag. Let's just say it's property management. What we can do is click add smart list. This is going to bring up this add smart list on the right. I'm going to put inside here property management. Okay, and what we want to do is go advanced filters, and I'm going to type in here tag. Okay, choose tag, and then you can select from your different tags. I'm going to choose property management. Click on apply. Okay, and you can see it's nested it there. So, what I'm going to [snorts] do is click on create now at the bottom, and you can get really minute with how who you want inside of here, especially when you have lots of data. Click on create. And now at the top, if I want to filter by particular tags, you can just see I come inside here, click on property management, and I can see all of my people inside of it.
