### Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00) []

Hey guys, Stuart here. Welcome back to another video. Now, today I'm going to briefly share how you can simply create a product cart and checkout page using PayPal. This essentially means you do not need to pay for an e-commerce website. You can directly sell both physical or digital products and services through PayPal's built-in e-commerce platform. This approach is ideal for startups and microbusinesses that have yet to build an online store or have limited funds but still want to sell online and capture online payments. Okay, so that quick intro out the way, let's go ahead and launch into PayPal and build your cart and checkout pages. All right, so to get started you first want to make sure you've got a PayPal business account. If you don't have a PayPal business account, simply head over to your browser and type in paypal. com/business and that will take you here or simply click on the link in the description below this video. Then go ahead and log in if you currently have a PayPal business account or sign up for free. All right, so I've already got a PayPal business account, so I'll meet you inside PayPal. Okay, so here we are inside my PayPal business account. Once you sign up or sign in, you'll be taken inside this interface. Then navigate over to the left-hand side and locate pay and get paid. Then what we want to do is locate create payment links and buttons. This is essentially where we can list our physical or digital products as well as services and then create a dedicated link we can share with our customers via email or add them to social media post or other channels. This will essentially allow your customers to click the link that will take them to a payment page which also acts as a cart. Now, depending on the payment methods that you want to use, your customers do not need a PayPal account. They can use Apple Pay, debit card or credit card and other payment methods you want to enable. Okay, so under here, let's go ahead and first add our first product. Again, you can add a physical or digital product or a service. For me, I'm going to add a physical product. Then product description and you can see a preview of the product page over on the right-hand side. Now, let's navigate down and add pricing. Choose the pricing type. We have these two options, one set price. This is the most common option allowing you to set a fixed price. Then we have customer sets price. This is more for collecting tips or maybe depending on the type of business that you run, you want customers to pay what they want. Again, for me, I'm happy with one set price. The example business I'm using today is called King Beats and we sell waterproof headphones and earphones from our garage. And the reason we would want to use this process is because we don't have an e-commerce website and we just leverage social media and our email to drive sales. Hence why we want to create a payment link, a checkout page that our customers can use to pay for products online. Okay, come down, add a price, select your currency, choose if you want to let your customers buy multiple products. I'm going to add the maximum which is 10. Then let's come down and add images. Go ahead and add your product images. Here we can select up to five images. Click open and this is going to make your payment page a lot more attractive adding both a detailed description as well as product images. Okay, next, let's navigate down here, show more options. Here you can add customer notes telling your customers what you need. For example, let's navigate down here. I've added where would you like us to leave the products, front door, letterbox or somewhere else? And as you can see, the customer can add their details down here. Okay, we can add another customer note. We can also make this required. Then navigate down further. Here we can choose a product ID. This is if you manage your inventory with a stock keeping unit or something similar. Simply turn that on. Then we can also add variants. For example, this could be color, size or type or something else. As an example, I'm just going to add size and then down here we have a few options. We can add a price per variant. We can also add an option name and associate an image with that option. For me, because I'm just using size, I just want to add the option name and the price is going to remain the same. However, if you add color, then you'd want to add the associated image that shows the product color. Again, if each variant, each option has a different pricing point, then select this option. I'm going to add two more options. Okay, once you've added your variants, simply navigate down here and choose if you want to enable inventory. This means you can track and manage your inventory from inside of PayPal. For example, let's enable this. Down here, we can add the product ID as well as the quantity we have on hand and then we can add an alert if you only have a few items left. Then down here you have the option to allow customers to purchase out of stock items. Okay, so again, this can be helpful if you sell physical products. If you sell digital products or a service, this won't be relevant to you. Okay, so for now, I'm happy with this. Let's navigate up to the top and then select checkout. Again, for me, because I'm selling a physical product, I want to collect the customer's shipping address. Navigate over to shipping fees. Again, because I'm selling a physical product, we need to add a shipping fee. I absorb the shipping cost inside the product price. Okay, so I'm going to select free shipping. Choose to add taxes if you like. You might want to add a tax to be included. You can also add a discount

and handling fees. Again, this just depends on the nature of your business, products or services. Once you're happy with the checkout page, navigate over to confirmation. Hey guys, just quickly, did you know that over 90% of you that enjoy our free educational content have not yet subscribed. It would mean a lot to me if you drop a comment or hit subscribe if you love what I'm creating. This helps us grow the channel and motivates me to create bigger and more impactful tutorials for you to consume for free. Okay, so that happy note, thank you in advance and let's get back to the video. And this is what your customers will see once they've purchased your products or services. Now, if you like, you can add an auto return URL. This is essentially your website. Again, because I'm showing you this as an alternative to building an e-commerce website, we're going to leave this for now. Now, if you're selling a digital product, you might want to redirect your customers once they've made a purchase to a landing page where they can download the digital product. Okay, so for now, let's go ahead and click on build it and just like that, your payment page is ready to go. And this is the link that you can share across your different channels. Now, before we finish up, we want to start cross-selling. This allows us to turn our simple payment page into a cart page that allows customers to select multiple items before they make a purchase. For example, add an item, click here and here I have another product that I added earlier. Again, if you sell multiple products or services, you can add those here allowing customers to purchase multiple items. Now, to add additional items in here, simply navigate up to more actions, click here and create a new product page or duplicate the existing one you just created and make a few changes. Then that's going to allow you to jump back into this payment page and add multiple items. Okay, so let's go ahead and see what this looks like. Simply copy this link. You can do that by clicking copy link and let's open this up in a different browser and this is the hybrid cart and payment page that your customers will see when they click on the link that you shared. They can navigate through the different images up here or down here as well as preview the description of your product. They can then add the quantity of items they want. For us, that's just one. They can select the size and then add their details down here based on the customer note that we added. Then the customer can navigate down here and preview related products. This is essentially the add to cart option. Again, they can preview the images, read the description and then add to cart. And now, this customer has two items in their cart. Then the customer can make a purchase based on the different payment options. Pretty cool, huh? Okay, let's jump back over to PayPal and again, you can use this link to share across your different channels either by email, text or social media or other channels. Now, you can also create a free website using something like Google Sites, Canva or Wix and then you can use the free website to then link this button to so customers can arrive at your website, learn about your brand, your business, your products and then click on a product and that will take them to the payment link. If you're interested in learning how to create a free website and to sell your products with PayPal, then I will add a tutorial I created recently that shows you how to do this with Canva and PayPal. So, feel free to check out that tutorial down below in the description if you're yet to create a website for your brand. We can also navigate over to back to save links and buttons and that will take you to all your products and services that you sell. However, that is everything that I wanted to cover in this tutorial showing you how to create a cart and payment page using PayPal. I will add other relevant tutorials down below in the description to help you get the most of selling online and doing this on a budget.
