### Segment 1 (00:00 - 05:00) []

Hello, want to hear something depressing? No, why would I want to hear mobile games make more money than all other forms of gaming combined? And surely with all this money mobile games are the pinnacle of hard work and artistic integrity. I'm sure if someone was to remake them it would take a very long time. Oh, would you look at that? I guess I'm wrong. So, here's the plan. I picked out three mobile games and we're going to see how close I can get to remaking them in 1 hour. All right, let's get into it. — The first game we're going to be making today is Last War. Last War is this [ __ ] You've probably seen it around. And you want to hear a fun fact? Yeah. At the moment Last War is the highest grossing strategy mobile game in the world, constantly earning upwards of 140 million DOLLARS EVERY MONTH. YEAH, that fact wasn't very fun. But I wonder what Homelander thinks of this. Hey, C Anthony Starr here. This game I'm playing is called Last War: Survival and it's awesome. Okay, so yeah, the vibe is you've got dudes running at you on the left and upgrades on the right and you got to shoot them and you get it. It's not complicated. Okay, let's start the timer. Okay, we're on. Let's go. Okay, first we're going to need to slap down a square. That'll be like our road. Um, and next we need some men. All right, yeah, these guys fit the vibe I think. I think these guys are good. Sort of Clash of Clans cartoony sort of vibe. All right, let's go. And we're going to need some enemies as well. So, I found this guy and he'll do I guess. In the actual game there's zombies. Who cares? It's a mobile game. Nothing [ __ ] matters. Also going to do some shooting animation so I found this which I think looks good. Chucking both the model and the animation in Unity gives us this. Oh, wow, that looks [ __ ] stupid. That looks so bad. With that done I added a gun to his hands or you know, close enough to his hands. Oh, yeah, that's perfect. Apart from some small details like his finger being nowhere near the trigger, him sniffing the gun, his foot's definitely broken, and he's holding the gun with the back of his left hand. You know what? It looks good from the back so we ship it. So, the way you control the game is moving the guys left and right. So, let's like quickly whip up some code to do that. Nice. Okay, now let's get them shooting. I used bullet effect from a previous project which I thought would look nice here. So, I just need to write a script that moves it in a straight line like a bullet. And with that the bullet should be done. Stupid [ __ ] game. Stupid video. Stupid career. What are we doing? Now we just got to spawn the bullet from the gun and we got a game coming along. It's happening. Oh, yeah, HERE WE GO. BOOM. — BOOM. OH, OKAY. All right, let's juice the fire rate. Yeah. — Oh, wait, [ __ ] the frames. The frame my poor computer what's going on? — Oh, wait, I'm not despawning any of the bullets ever. — [gasps] — Oh, well, we don't have time to fix that. Moving on. With that it's time to add some enemies. And so we got this little cutie here who's a This And let's get him running. And so I found this which is like a pretty good running with sword animation. Um, so let me yank that. Um, yeah, that's That's going to have to do cuz we don't have time. All right, let's give him a sword. He needs a sword. Yeah, that's definitely way too big. Oh, hold on. This is Yeah, there we go. That's better. I think he's technically going to be holding uh the blade with his hand. That's okay. That happens, right? I'm not a big sword guy, but I'm sure — that's a balanced strategy. Yeah, I mean, it looks good if you're not using your eyes. And we can actually reuse the script that we used to move the bullet to move this guy. Um, so let's just slap that on and we should be Gucci. — [screaming] — Okay, yep, that's a bit more reasonable. That's better. Now we just need to have the bullets do damage to the enemies and yeah, we got a game. Next we need to add these gates that when you shoot them the number goes up and then when you hit that number that's the number of players that add to your number of players. Does that make sense? And some cheeky 3D modeling later we got some gates. Yeah, it's looking good. The number's going up. Changes to blue. Let's go. Okay, it just It doesn't do anything, but it's still nice. Little bit of programming. Come on, please. That's the work. THAT WORKED. ALL RIGHT, moving on. GO, GO. Next we need the barrels which when you kill them give certain upgrades. Some of them is just more dudes and like upgrades to for your fire rate. Okay, so this when we kill it should increase our fire rate. Come on. Is that Yeah, that's better. That's faster. All right, nice, nice. I made the different variations of barrels. So, yeah, this one increases fire rate and this one adds another dude. And I made them gold cuz I thought that was pretty. And I added one final variation of barrel which just increases the attack rate even further. And finally we need like a big dude at the end to kill. Um, I don't have time for that. So, I'm just going to scale this guy up and give him more health. Okay, so this is what we've done so far. We've got our guys, we've got they can shoot, we've got enemies, we've got gates, we've got barrels, and our final boss. So, all we have to do now is just put that all together into a level and then we're done. All right, time, time. Uh, so the rules are and yes, I made them up myself. So, I guess it doesn't really matter. But the rules are I'm allowed to add sound effects and music and nothing else. I haven't touched the functionality at all. I've just added music and sound effects just cuz that adds a bit more of a vibe. But yeah, let's see what I made. Let's check out the monstrosity. All right, we're right into it. What do I do? I guess we shoot this thing, get some more guys. Oh, I only got one more guy. That's all right. That's all right. I don't think I'm doing very good. Nope, can't get that barrel. That's okay. No. —

### Segment 2 (05:00 - 10:00) [5:00]

— I'm the guy in the ad. There's also no death condition. Like the enemies don't do any damage to you. Uh, so I guess you can't lose. But this doesn't feel like a win. All right, let's run it back. All right, let's go straight for this. I think that's the strat. Anthony Starr would never have figured this out. Oh, there it is. Yeah, the boys. All right, crushing. This is feeling way better. All right, let's get this thing. Oh, it's all coming together. And then let's just absolutely pump the [ __ ] out of this. Yeah, yeah. — That's so loud. It's so loud. I added so many guys. Why? Oh, it hurts. Can I get that? No, it's so loud. All right, get the big guy. Yeah. — All right, and that's it for Last War. This is the side by side comparison. How do you think I did? I'm looking forward to getting my $140 million check. So, just hopefully that comes through the mail anytime now. Obviously there's more like special effects and stuff going on Last War version, but I think I got the core of the functionality down which is kind of nuts. Hey, do you also want a bajillion dollars when you make your very own shitty mobile game? Well, you're going to need to learn how to code. What? That sounds boring. Yeah, it is. Or I should say it was. Can you stop interrupting? I'm trying to do a thing. Sorry. It was boring before I found today's sponsor boot. dev. Oh, it's one They've got courses in Python, SQL, Go, AWS, and tons more. But what makes them special is they use this little thing called gamification to make the process fun and addictive. The same stuff that these mobile games use to make people spend thousands of dollars on them. boot. dev uses instead to help you stay motivated to learn to code. I'm talking experience points, levels, achievements, quests, and even boss fights. And on top of all that the courses are cool as well. This one teaches you how to make the game Asteroids from scratch. a Pokedex in TypeScript. And this one teaches you how to generate and then solve mazes in Python. All very fun by themselves, but with the magic of gamification it's an unstoppable combination. So, if you want to support this channel and learn to code the fun way, scan this bad boy here or go to boot. dev. And you can use code bullet to get 25% off the entire first year on the annual plan. Thank you boot. dev for the sponsor. All right, back to the video. So, um, yeah, this is the second This is Butt Clash. Um, you got to eat the burgers to grow your ass. Um, but if you eat the green healthy stuff your ass shrinks and that is bad. I don't know what to say about this one. It sort of speaks for itself as does all good art. And then you enter like a twerk battle with this other um, fine lady and the winner is who has the largest ass. Uh, that was That is Butt Clash, ladies and gentlemen. This game has over 10 million downloads just on Android. I hope God is dead so he doesn't have to see this. Okay, ready? Let's go. Okay, let's get started. First we're going to need a dumpy to work with. [ __ ] sorry. — It's beautiful. Okay, we got our man, but there is a problem. When I'm looking at him not enough neurons are firing. Look at all this prime real estate that isn't being taken up by an insanely saturated color. Of course we're going to have to fix that. — Why is there so many teeth? Am I Oh, yeah, that's the stuff. Just grab the whole image and just [ __ ] juice it. Yeah, boy. You ready? Bam. Look at that. Yes. All right, so here's my plan. Unfortunately I can't increase the size of his ass directly. That's because Unity is a coward. Um, that's not the real reason. I just can't be bothered to explain it. But what I can do is I can take everything that isn't his ass and scale that down, then scale everything back up. You see my vision? All right, all right. Look at the normal. And then if we increase scale. Yes. — There's our guy. All right, so that's great, but there are some things that need some work. Mainly the torso needs to move forward while the guy um inflates. I hate using that word, but that is what's happening. Oh, wait, it should be doing it. Should be Yeah. — Oh, yeah. God damn it. That is aura. All right, now that the ass growth situation is sorted we're going to need to grab some animations. There we go. — Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. — It's looking good. Yeah. And then he goes nom, nom. Yeah, yeah. Perfect. And then next they got to move in so it sort of like follows the mouse. All right, now it's time to add the food. We got donuts. AND WE GOT HEALTHY bell peppers.

### Segment 3 (10:00 - 15:00) [10:00]

— Don't eat that. All right, now when we run into a donut we should Okay. don- you don- Ah! Now when we run you I really thought that one was it. And now when we RUN INTO OH, YES! HE GOT A DON- LET'S GO! OH, YEAH. This is — This is why I lie about what I do to my relatives. And I got the bell peppers working as well. This big butt, small butt. Perfect. Munch. [ __ ] Munch. Munch. That's hard. — All right, now we're going to do like the end twerk battle. So, we're going to need like a boxing ring, I think, should do. Yeah, that looks good. All right, let's go to this one. Okay, yes. It's all coming together. Okay, we got to move. We got so much [ __ ] to Okay, so now we need to teleport the player to the stage and at the end get him twerking. — Yeah, very sexy. Okay, and everyone knows you can't twerk alone, so let's just grab a competitor. Yeah. Yep, that's it. I quickly made him pink just to make him a little different. And while we're doing colors let's change the road to Yeah, let's go yellow. And I made the sky like this disgusting pink. Very good. Very saturated. We love this. Okay, we got 3 minutes left. Things are looking good, but I wanted to add a little crowd to just give it a bit more atmosphere. And there we go, time. Time. That's it. That's an hour. Oh, well okay. All right, let's play the game. Let's see what we got. Oh, that's Those sound effects are so obnoxious. I'm not sure if this is actually possible. Like I put in enough donuts. This is just audibly the worst thing ever. Those are really hard. I can't All right, let's do this. Battle. It's so big. Like there's no way I could ever get that. I lost. Oh, no. All right, time to lock in. Let's [ __ ] do this. Go on for perfect score. Oh, he's insane. He's insane. Oh, wait. We ate a bell pepper. Damn it. This is so hard. Woah, just Actually insane maneuvers. All right, I think that was like as good as I could do and I'm still nowhere near beating this guy. I just noticed the guys in the background A T-posing and B, I don't know why their don- their donkeys are huge. That I thought that was not intended. All right, and here's the side-by-side for butt clash. What do you think? How did I do? I think they spent a lot more time on their butt inflation tech. That looks a lot better. But I think I got the vibe of it. And here's the side-by-side for the twerk battle. I think we're actually using the same twerk animation, which is funny. But apart from some fancy camera moves and some I think farting special effects, it's pretty much the same. All right, that's it. Let's go to game — So, our final game is Eating Simulator, which according to reviews is so good because it was so funny and I liked the physics when I liked it went to my head. Thank you, game, for this game. And seven people were like, "Yes! " Okay, so what actually is Eating Simulator? Clearly must be a masterpiece. — [cheering] — It is a masterpiece. It's amazing. It's out of this And we got to add I mean, after that amazing gameplay you deserve it. You also got this level where you're dragging a fish all the way through a duck. That's fun. Oh my god my What the [ __ ] All right, let's make the game. Let's We're done. Okay, so first up we're going to need like a picture that we can make squishy and become the food. Boom, that's our guy. There he is. All right, yoink. All right, so the fish is in, but at the moment it's very stiff, not squishy at all. Not very fun. So, you ready for a little lesson on soft body physics? — [cheering] — Computers and physics engines can't really do soft objects. They really like to work with rigid bodies. And if we put a random 2D object into the scene and run it, it's completely solid, no squish, no nothing, rigid. But you ready for a magic trick? Watch this. What happens if we take four circles and connect them all by a springs. Look at that. Even though each of the circles are still completely solid, the whole object looks soft and squishy. Now if we just add these circles and springs to this random image we chose, then it should appear to be Oh, [ __ ] OFF! I'M TRYING TO LOOK SMART! NO! THEN IT SHOULD APPEAR TO be soft and squishy. There we go. And if we had a second one that Oh my god. — All right, whatever. Back to the challenge. Let's go. But you know what soft bodies are now. Okay, so back to our fish. Like before we got to set up our boy to be soft. It's a more complex shape, so it's going to require a lot more circles and spring connections, but it's the same principle. And now we just got to connect up the springs, which is super annoying and tedious. So, let's speed through that. All right, let's send it.

### Segment 4 (15:00 - 19:00) [15:00]

Okay. Interesting. All right, let's go. Wow, that's um that's not better. That is Wow, he's a big boy. All right. Oh, squishy fish. Let's go, squishy fish. Okay, let's try adding more boys. Oh, wow. Okay. Oh, that kind of worked. Wow. Let's go. Okay, now that we got the lads nice and soft, we need a way of interacting with them. In the actual game you click and drag and this little pink line appears. Don't — [laughter and gasps] — Don't worry about what you're looking at. Just focus on the pink line. To set this up first we're going to need an object that follows the mouse. So, let's do a bit of coding. Okay, we got this little circle following the mouse. Now if we connect a fish to a spring, it looks great. Yes. Yep. Perfect. Now we just need to add the little pink line and we pretty much got the game. Yeah, that's pretty much done. Oh! Oh, he's okay. Okay, but we are going to need something to swallow the fish. Baby with mouth open. Oh, no. No. It can't be a real baby. That would be a crime, I think. — Let's go cartoon. That's better. That is better. Ooh, we could go Boss Baby with it. I'm a Yeah, I'm a yoink that. Me, sorry. I'm just going to open up that mouth. This is making me very uncomfortable. I don't I should have done the bird. Why am I doing a baby? Just bring that in and don't worry. Deeply unsettling and definitely a low point in my life. Okay, let's just add a collider to the Boss Baby. And hello. What's happened? Let me go. Okay, that's better. His forehead doesn't absorb the fish anymore. That's good. Oh, there we go. Num num. Num, yummy. I added a little table. Made it table colored and I added a little plate. I'm doing anything to procrastinate having to look at that baby. I added a little sky and finally we need a win condition. And just if two whole fish are in this area, then we win. Yeah. All right, we're done with 15 minutes left. That has never happened before, so I guess we'll make another level. For the next level I briefly considered Owen Wilson, but then I decided on a giraffe cuz it's got like a long neck or something. I don't know. We just got to do some quick and slightly disturbing Photoshop magic and we got our guy. Next we need something to swallow, so I just used this selfie that I took. Now let's just quickly bring everything into Unity and do the soft body stuff and that's it. Time. Time. All right. All right, let's play this [ __ ] Grab a fish. There we go. — Num num. — [gasps] — I'm not sure if I understand the appeal of this game. Like who is this for? Oh, let's go. He's crazy. All right, just get it round the low intestine. There you go. Beautiful. Next level. I've not play tested this at all, so — I don't know if it works. Oh my god. Oh my god. I hate that. I see there might be Oh, no. He's wearing like a He's got like a dude tie on now. — You right, buddy? You okay? Everything all right? All right, let's try this again. Let's go a little slower. Oh my god. — This is just awful to Hated that. And yeah. — We did it. I do not feel like a winner. Feels good right for seconds. All right, let's go as fast as we can. Ready? Go. — Oh. Oh god. Oh, He's become Elon Musk. No. — A fate worse than death. All right, and finally here's the side-by-side for Eating Simulator. Obviously, I went for like a little more realistic art style, which I don't know why I did that, but I did that. But apart from that, honestly, I don't think there's much difference in these games. This one was nuts. All right, that's it. That's the video. I hope you liked it. This is my like second attempt at this concept. I did one like a year ago. And there are plenty more shitty mobile games, so if you want me to keep making these, let me know. They're obviously very easy to pump out and I like making them. It's nice to have like a quick video concept that I can do in between bigger projects. Our last video took me literally 2 years to make. It was on and off, obviously, but um yeah, that was a bigger project versus this is a nice quick one. Anyway, congrats Fred Subpar 23 for the win. I'll be in touch. You won some free merch. Congratulations. All right. See you guys
