Yeah. Yeah. Sending this one out. — Word of New York City. — Yo, Rob, why don't you talk to the people for a minute? Tell them why we're here. — If you've been stretching your hips for weeks and still feel tight, you might not need more mobility. You need control. Take my patient for example. For over a year, his hips felt tight and painful when exercising. He had tried many stretches, but nothing fixed it. My testing showed he had a lot of mobility, but at certain ranges, pain came out, and his hip stability was extremely poor. He couldn't even hold his hip up in the air during this test. This meant his hips were lacking control of the motion he did have, leading to pain. So, here's what we did. A side plank clamshell, driving the downside focus hip up off the ground as high as possible, and holding for 5 seconds. and a kickstand squat. Fighting a band attempting to create knee cave pre-engage the glutes for better stability. He then squatted down, held his bottom position for 3 seconds, then back up. And these no longer felt tight and were painfree.
