Hey Rashni here at the Tableau Conference in San Diego 2026. Super excited to be here. I'm walking around the showroom floor and asking attendees about what they think the impact will be of AI on the role of a data analyst. In my honest opinion, I think AI in retrospect it's going to speed up the process when it comes to data processing and everything. So I feel like that's going to be a big benefit as for me and my team as a whole, but yeah. The role will completely or slightly shift in how we model the data or how we use AI to get the insights. I think we have to upgrade, learn, and keep adapting. And I think with AI, really what people should be thinking about is I think about it a lot. How do I automate myself? How do I train an AI to think like how I think, to output how I output, to view data how I view data, and how can I utilize that so that when I'm working on one task for one stakeholder, I can have my AI working on five other tasks for five other stakeholders, thus like a 6Xing my output. So I think that AI is going to enable us to be like this, a full-stack engineer. It's going to make us more powerful and have many roles. So currently our shop is split up into data and then reporting and analytics. And I think that that's going to need a third branch where it's going to be data development, reporting and analytics, and context and semantics layers to explain to the AI how to navigate partners, partner processes, data definitions, you know, you name it. What business questions are we trying to answer? Uh and I think it's going to require that third the semantics and uh governance branch, for sure. Well, the analyst's role is not going anywhere, at least according to me, because you are no longer going to be just an analyst, but you are going to see a much bigger picture, just like the LEGOs we are surrounded with, add multiple things, get multiple parts. You are no longer stuck with just one data set. Now you have the whole gamut of data sets you can play with like it was being told in keynote what was showed in DevZone stage today about joining multiple data sets that you can bring together. So you have much a bigger challenge now, not sticking to one data set or a couple of data sets, getting everything that's available around you to build out from there. It sounds like it's going to empower the data analyst, right? — That's the whole point of AI is not taking away anything, it's empowering people. I love that. Thank you so much.
