Today I'm going to show you why your browser is about to change forever. And Microsoft just dropped co-pilot mode in Edge and it's going head-to-head with Perplexity Comet. This is not your dad's browser anymore. We're talking AI that reads all your tabs at once. Voice commands that actually work and browsers that can book stuff for you. I tested both of them. The results are insane. One is built into Edge right now. The other is a whole new browser and the winner might surprise you. Stay tuned because this is going to blow your mind. Hey, if we haven't met already, I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency Goldie Agency. Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates. So, here's the deal. Your browser is not just a browser anymore. Microsoft launched something called Copilot mode in Edge, and it's competing with Plexity Comet. Both of these are trying to turn your browser into an AI assistant, but they're doing it in totally different ways. Let me break it down. Copilot mode is built right into Microsoft Edge. You don't need to download anything new if you already have Edge. When you turn it on, you get this single input box on a new tab. It combines chat, search, and navigation all in one place. You can ask it questions. You can tell it to search for stuff. You can even navigate websites just by talking to it. The crazy part is it can access all your open tabs with your permission, of course. So, let's say you're shopping for flights. You got five tabs open with different airlines. You can ask co-pilot which flight is the best deal. And it will actually look at all five tabs and compare them for you. That's nuts. It can also do voice commands. You can literally say, "Open a few tabs to compare hotels in Dubai. " And it does it. No clicking, no typing, just talk. But wait, there's more. Microsoft is rolling out agent features. So that means Copilot can actually do stuff for you like making bookings, managing errands, all based on your browsing history and your login info. You have to opt in. So it's not automatic, but think about it. Your browser booking a restaurant for you. That's where we're headed. Now, let's talk about Perplexity Comet. This is a totally different animal. Comet is not a mode. It's a whole browser built from the ground up around AI. The entire browser is designed to work with an AI assistant. It's new. It's experimental. And people are saying it's really stable for something so young. Here's the key difference. Copilot mode is inside Edge. You already have Edge. You just turn it on. Comet makes you switch browsers. You have to download a new app. But Comet was built for AI from day one. Edge added AI to an existing browser. So which one wins? Let's compare integration. Copilot wins here. It's already an Edge. Millions of people use Edge. You don't have to switch. Comet makes you download something new. That's friction. Tab awareness. Copilot is built to read across multiple tabs. It can summarize research from 10 tabs at once. Comet might be able to do this, too, but Copilot really pushes this feature hard. It's their main selling point. Now, before we go further, let me tell you about something that's going to save you hundreds of hours. I've created the AI profit boardroom. This is the best place to scale your business, get more customers, and save hundreds of hours with AI automation. You'll get access to workflows, tools, and strategies that actually work. No fluff, just results. Check it out at the link in the description. All right, back to the showdown. Maturity and ecosystem. Edge has been around forever. Microsoft has billions of users. Copilot benefits from all of that. Comet is the new kid. It's leaner. It's faster, but it doesn't have the user base yet. Privacy and control. Copilot is opt-in. You decide what it can access. Microsoft says they handle your data under their privacy standards. You get visual cues when C-pilot is active, so you know when it's watching. Business accounts have some limitations. Personal accounts get more features. Comet also asks for permissions, but since it's newer, we don't have as much info on their privacy policies yet. Cost and availability. Here's where it gets interesting. Copilot mode is free right now, but there are usage limits, and Microsoft hasn't said how much it will cost later, so enjoy it while it lasts. Comet's pricing is still being figured out, too. Let me give you a real world example. Let's say you're planning a vacation. You open five tabs, hotels, flights, car rentals, tours, restaurants. With Copilot, you can ask which hotel is closest to the beach and cheapest. It looks at all your tabs. It gives you an answer. You don't have to click through each one. With Comet, you might be able to do something similar, but Copilot is designed for this exact use case. It's their main thing. Comet is more about having AI built into the browser from the start. Different approach. Here's the thing. We're seeing a shift. Browsers used to be passive tools. You open tabs, you search, you click. Now browsers are becoming assistants. They help you get things done. They think for you, they act for you. Copilot mode is Microsoft's big bet on this shift. And Comet is Perplexity's answer. They're saying, "Why add AI to an old browser? Let's build a new browser that's AI first. Both strategies make sense. One is easier to adopt. The other might be better longterm. " So, who should use
what? If you're already on Edge, turn on Copilot mode. It's free. It's built in. Try it out. See if you like the tap analysis. See if voice commands work for you. If you're a researcher, this is gold. If you're shopping online all the time, this is a gamecher. If you want something more experimental, try Comet. It's for people who want to be on the cutting edge. People who don't mind switching browsers, people who want to see what AI first browsing really looks like. But here's my take. Copilot mode is the winner right now. Why? Because it's already there. You don't have to switch. The integration is tight. And Microsoft is pushing hard on agent features. The ability to have your browser do stuff for you is huge. That's the future. Comet is impressive for how young it is. But Edge has the ecosystem, the users, the resources. Unless you really want to try something new, Copilot mode is the safer bet. Now, let's talk privacy for a second. Copilot can access your tabs, your history, your login credentials. That's powerful, but it's also a little scary. You have to opt in. You can turn it off anytime. But think about what you're given access to. Your browser knows everything you do online. Make sure you trust it. Comment probably asks for similar permissions. Any AI browser needs context to help you. Just make sure you read what you're agreeing to. Don't just click yes on everything. One more thing, these features are rolling out slowly. Not everyone has them yet. Some regions get them first. Some features might not be live everywhere. So, if you try co-pilot mode and don't see all the agent stuff, that's why it's coming. Just not everywhere at once. You also need the latest version of Edge. If you're on an old version, update it. Then check the settings for C-Pilot mode. Turn it on, play with it, see what it can do. For Comet, you'll need to download it, sign up, and check which features are available. It's newer, so it might not have everything Copilot has, but it's worth trying if you're curious. All right, here's the bottom line. Your browser is changing. Artificial intelligence is taking over. Copilot mode in Edge and Perplexity Comet are just the beginning. We're going to see more browsers do this. Google Chrome will probably add something. Firefox might jump in. This is the next big thing in browsing. And speaking of getting ahead, let me tell you about the free AI money lab with Julian Goldie.
