## Транскрипт

### Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00) []

There was one time where I actually lost my debit card because I lost my wallet and somebody took my debit card and went and bought groceries and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars that came right out of my checking account. And I remember when I contacted the bank, I was so frustrated because the bank was like, "Oh, there's not much we can do. " Like the money was already withdrawn. So, you know, we have to investigate and that's going to take 90 days. So, three whole months that I had to wait without hundreds and hundreds of dollars that were just missing and I was in my mid20s. I was broke and I needed that money. So, it was really frustrating for me to experience that and it just always left a bad taste in my mouth. And ever since then, I learned the lesson. Use credit cards for daily expenses. Pay it off with the money in your checking account, but do not use a debit card. There's no fraud protection. There's no perks. There's no points. There's no rewards. What is the point? I really would not ever consider using a debit card for day-to-day purchases unless I needed to actually take out cash and hand somebody physical cash, which usually happens when I'm traveling abroad. Then I would use a debit card at an ATM machine or at the bank. But I would not use it for daily purchases. Grab a copy of my book at mindyourmoneybook. com.
