### Segment 1 (00:00 - 01:00) []

three things I'm doing with my money in 2026 and three things I'm not. I'm not going to be maxing out my 401k. I'm just going to put in enough to get the company match at my job. I'm about to hit half a million dollars in that 401k that I have locked up in there till I'm 59 and a half. I need to just chill on the 401k and actually start putting a lot more into my taxable brokerage account. I would not be using a debit card for anything. There's no fraud protection. There's no perks. There's no points. There's no rewards unless I needed to take out cash at an ATM machine or at the bank. I would not use it for daily purchases. I won't be options trading, day trading, swing trading, penny stocks, or crypto trading. I take the triedand-true approach, which might take 15 years to become a multi-millionaire instead of overnight. But the average return does better than the large majority of investors over a 10 year, 15, 20 year period of time. And that's true for almost every single market. I am going to be maxing out my Roth IRA this year. Do it with a backdoor Roth IRA. Contribute the money into a traditional IRA first, not investing the money. When it settles, the money sitting in the account, I just immediately convert it to a Roth IRA. Once you pass $165,000 of income as a single tax filer, you basically cannot contribute any dollars directly into the Roth IRA. The only way that you can prevent anyone, including yourself, from opening any accounts with your credit is by putting a credit freeze in place. And you have to do that three times. it with each credit bureau, Equifax, Experian, TransUnion, on each of their website, keeping all of my bills on autopay. And that includes all of my credit cards. I don't pay late fees, and I don't pay no interest. Grab a copy of my book at mindyourmoneybook. com. Let this be the year
