Introduction to Google's Notebook LM Updates

Google's Notebook LM has some new free updates that I'm going to walk you through today. Very powerful tool. And if you've never used this before, don't worry. I'll walk you through that, too. And basically, what you can see here is they have this new update literally just came out. And they've said Notebook LM's video views are now available in 80 languages. So, not only can you actually create videos inside Notebook LM, but also you can generate videos for free in a different language. actually tested out this morning. I thought it wouldn't be rolled out to me just yet. It actually is. So, for example, here we've
0:33

Creating Videos in Multiple Languages

plugged in an English video. This is actually one of my videos that I've plugged in here. And then if we click on this and we click on play and then we open this up full screen, what you'll get is basically a output of a video in whatever language you choose. Now if you want to change the settings to output in a different language in 80 different languages here you can just choose between the list and then select whichever you want. Right? So if we want to generate one in Italiano then all we do is we plug in our sources on the left hand side and then we're going to click on video overview. It will be the same for audio too my maps etc. And then you can generate videos, podcasts, mind maps, whatever you want, even reports using this process in different languages, right? Really powerful way to generate responses. Also, if we start typing in here and we say, "Okay, tell me about GLM 4. 5. " Then we should be good to go on that. Let me just change the audio. I'm just going to remove the background noise and we'll test that again on the audio. So, let me play this again. All right. So you basically have an option here where you can easily generate outputs in different languages. If we go full screen here, we should have the video and audio. If you gradually generate it, it's going to take a little bit of time, right? It does take a few minutes to generate that, but at the same time, you can generate free AI videos in one single click. Normally, you would be paying like hundreds of dollars per month for a tool like that to generate videos that are actually pretty decent quality as
2:09

Generating Mind Maps and Reports

well. And then you see here's an example of the mind map. So if you're learning something or if you're trying to break something down into a simplified concept, you can use these mind maps and they're really powerful to do. I also think this would just be great for like practicing a language but also learning about stuff you actually want. So usually if you're learning a language like you've got really boring learning materials when I was learning I speak five languages. Chinese for example, super hard to find interesting stuff to learn about. Whereas using this process, you can plug in whatever you want, create something awesome and then generate a video, an audio of view, etc. Really powerful. You can download this stuff as well as you go along. So if we click off the full screen and we go back to this video, we can actually download that or we can share with people, right? So if we click on share here, you can share this with anyone who has the link, which is pretty
2:56

Starting with Notebook LM: A Step-by-Step Guide

cool. So if you want to get started with this bad boy, let me show you an example. So we're going to click on create new over here. Then we're going to upload some sources. So, I'm just going to take some videos off my YouTube channel cuz that's the simplest, easiest option. This literally just came out like what, a few hours ago. It's absolutely wild how quick this has rolled out around the world. So, if we go back over here, we're going to take a video from my channel. So, let's say for example, I'm trying to learn NA10, right? That's a skill set a lot of people watching this channel want to learn. By the way, I got loads of training inside the AI profit boardroom if you want to learn this stuff. So essentially we can take the video URL, copy that, go into notebook lm. Then we can plug in the YouTube link like so. Insert that bad boy. And then from here
3:39

Customizing Outputs and Use Cases

we can click on video view. And before we actually generate the audio overview, what we can actually do here is we can have language selected, right? So we can choose which language you want. We can select between default or shorter. And then you can actually tell the hosts what you want them to focus on, right? So for example here you could say okay I want one person arguing with the other about what is better or Google opal something like that right hit generate boom that's going to start generating an audio of you in Italian and just create it step by step really easily you can also for example create an FAQ that would be much faster to generate a study guide a timeline basically anything that you want right I haven't seen any limits as well when you're generating the audio the video overviews I haven't seen any limits also before you generate an overview in the video you can actually click on customize here and then you can say what should they focus on so for example if we change this back to English now and we're like okay break down step by step exactly how to build AI voice agents with NA10 and then we'll say use third grade simplified language so anyone can understand it and now we can hit generate and boom shakalaka Simona says can you think of any original use cases for a medical student so if we go to create new over here what you can actually do you can plug in your sources here right so let's say for example you wanted to learn about a topic well you can actually describe what you want to do inside the description here. And then let's say you're interested in learning about genetics for apes, something like that, right? Or I don't know, medical, maybe aging, right? How to reverse and stop aging, medical research, aging. Then hit submit. It's going to give you a bunch of ideas on sources here. So you can see it's loading now. And then we can wait for that to generate. So you can see all the sources that we're loading in here. And then we can import those. Now if you don't like some of these then you can just delete them. And also what you can do is if you don't want to use the output language in foreign language you just want to switch back to English. Just click English here. Hit save. Boom. So let's go back to sources here. Now add source. Discover sources. Medical case studies on reversing aging. Hit submit. And there's going to be many different ways that you can learn from this, right? So, for example, here we'll tick all the boxes here. Click import. That's going to start loading. And now we can start typing in here once it's loaded. Right? So, in the meantime, we can have a video view and an audio view, right? And on the audio view, you might ask them to focus on certain things. So for example in the case of this you might focus on like only focus on the dietary side of reversing aging and focus mainly on facts case studies plus medical research. Now
7:11

Medical Research and AI Limitations

one thing that I want to tell you here is if you're doing medical research and you're using AI, take everything with a pinch of salt and always fact check everything yourself. And the reason for that is that as we all know, AI can hallucinate, right? Particularly Gemini chat GPT5 seems to hallucinate less, but it still hallucinates more than most. So, just be wary of that too. And then in the video view as well here you can say okay explain the medical research and case studies in the context of explaining this to a medical student something like that right and then you can hit generate now the other really good thing if you're interested in learning what you can do over here is you can actually use Gemini and you just access it at gemini. com google. com go to canvas here and then inside here we can say okay I'm a medical student learning about reversing aging ask quiz me on the topic so that I can learn faster specifically with a curriculum for a medical student something like Right? And you could actually attach your learning materials, all that sort of thing. So you can give it as much context as you want. Then you can hit submit and what that's going to do is start generating a quiz that you can use to start learning all this stuff as well. So that's another way to go around it. So great question there, Simona. And then whilst we're waiting for these to load, let's go back here and we'll see how the outputs of the Italian one went. So you can see it's still generating the video for you. That takes a little bit of time, but we do have the study guide, the timeline, and the FAQ. The audio view, and the video view are still generated as well, so that takes a little bit of time. And Tux says
9:09

Practical Applications and User Experiences

"Everyone talks about Gemini Chat GPT. Why not Grock? " Honestly, I use Grock, and I just I wasn't that impressed when I used it. And he started giving me really nonsensical answers that didn't compare to Chat GPT and Claude and everything else. I just don't have time. Ricky says, "I'm creating detailed explainer videos in minutes, then run voice through 11 Labs. We brand them to our company. Super easy, quick, and way more articulate than I can do. " Yeah, 100%. Way more articulate. I would agree with that. Like being articulate on camera, one of the hardest skills you can learn, right? Because it just feels so awkward. It's so time consuming. It can be quite frustrating. And when you're beginning and you don't have an audience, you don't really get any results, right? So there's no reward system as well. So you don't really get any dopamine from creating these videos, which means that it's a tough skill to learn. Whereas now, like you're saying, you can just have perfectly articulate videos generated in one click using this process here. And they're typically better than most people on YouTube. I'm just going to speak honestly. Like the quality of the content is better than most people on YouTube. So now we've got the output back from the overviews here. So, we're going to click on this. So, that's the podcast generated in Italian. Again, you can change the output language and just use whatever you want, but essentially that's how you can easily do it. Ricky says we're using them for website, not YouTube, but the overviews are great for explaining services and tech. Yeah, that's true. Honestly, I think like it's going to get to a point where so many people upload notebookm videos to YouTube, it's just it's not going to add that much value. But if you add it to your website, yeah, it's probably a more valuable way to do it because it's contextually relevant to whatever you're talking about. The other
10:54

Creating Avatar Videos and Using Personal Sources

thing I would say here is honestly if you want a better way to generate like avatar videos without relying on notebook LM, just check out the AR profit boardroom, go inside the classroom and then go to the crash course here or the social media and video automation section. Inside those sections, you get loads of training on like how to create avatar videos. And I can tell you now, I'm not going to reveal too much details, but essentially it's pretty wild how scalable that stuff is. We're working on some stuff in the background that's really cool. Robert says, "I find this tool guide if you have no idea what you want to research about or just want to use the tool. I feel like it's too much stronger if you give it your own sources. " Yeah, I would agree with that. Like when I'm using this, I much prefer to actually use my own sources inside here, right? So for example, when I'm doing the outputs here and I'm generating the audio or the video overviews, etc. using your own sources is way better, right? Because it's just more contextually relevant to you. And also if you have sources in mind, well, you probably prefer those. You have a personal preference towards them. So that makes total sense. And also quite often those other sources that might be full of fluff and that sort of thing. Whereas if you're using your own sources, your own curriculum, etc., That's filtered down and it's cut out all the fluff which means the quality of the output is going to be better too. So it actually this is interesting as well. So it's actually come back with the video now and that seems to have generated way faster. So we're going to open this up. Go full screen on this bad boy. And you can see it's taken the video from our video. Right. So it's generated the output from our video. It's created like a nice little animation here, designed it like even little things, right? So, for example, I don't know how many presentations you've been to at conferences, but for me, quite often these presentations are poorly designed or just scraped together in the morning before the speaker goes
12:46

Exploring Notebook LM's Advanced Features

on, whereas this is like perfectly designed. Like even this bit is just perfectly aligned as a title. So, it looks super nice. So, let's play this back. See how it goes. — Have you ever just wished you had a personal assistant? someone to handle all those boring little phone calls. Today, I'm going to show you how to build one yourself. We're creating an AI that can literally make phone calls for you. And honestly, you'll be shocked at how easy it is. Seriously, just think about that for a second. Instead of you having to dial up every single person to make sure they're still — You see how it's basically simplified the language, right? So, like anyone could understand this, but also you see how it's like flicking between the slides and animating it for us whilst having a voice over. Really cool. coming to a meeting and AI could just handle it. And this isn't some faroff sci-fi dream. It's exactly what we're building right now. And that's not just a hypothetical. That's a real deal example of what this thing sounds like. This is the end goal. A polite, super helpful assistant that takes one more task right off your plate. By the time we're done here, you'll know exactly how this all works. So, here's the game plan. — So, you see how it's simplified the concepts as well. is here's what you're going to use, here's how you're going to build it, here's what you're going to do next. And it's 1 2 3 4 5, right? Really simplified steps. Great for learning something. So, let's keep going now. So, this is now going to come on to the tools that we use. — Tools to pull it off. That's it. Let's check out the building blocks for our AI agent. On one hand, we've got a tool called N8N. I want you to think of this as the brains of the operation. It's where we create the step-by-step instructions, kind of like a recipe for our AI. And on the other hand, there's retail AI. This is the voice and the ears. This is the part that actually picks up the phone, does the talking, and listens. Now, bear in mind, in my video, I explain it in a far less articulate way. Whereas, if you look at this, he's broken down the concepts. He's added some nice animations, used like a metaphor of the brains and the voice, etc. And so, like, it's compared the differences between the two. It's just made things 10 times easier. Lebby says, "Which platform is best for creating video avatars? " So, if you want to learn about that, check out the AR Profit Boardroom. We have a whole section on video automation, and this shows you exactly what we use and how we use it with step-by-step processes and video tutorials showing you exactly how to create your own avatars with video. So, if you want to learn this stuff, just go here inside the AI Profit Boardroom. Let's get back to the video now. So brains and a voice. That's all we need. All right, let's dive in and start with the brain. We're jumping into N8 to create the set of instructions, the workflow that's going to power this whole thing. Building this out is basically like setting up a line of dominoes. First, we need something to kick it all off. That's our schedule. Then it needs to — So basically, it's explaining exactly how to do it step by step. Really simplified — to get them talking to each other. simplifies like the idea of a API key. So for example, a secret password. So you see how it's using that third grade language just to break things down whereas most people would just say API key. But the AI knows, okay, I have to explain this simplified. So I'm going to say a secret password blah blah. So really easy and simple to do. Then you can hit download. Honestly, if you look at the future of learning, it's probably going to be a situation where you can take like a video off YouTube. This is the way I think they're probably going to use it, right? You can have videos on YouTube. Then you can directly ask inside like a chatbot like a custom GPT kind of train like this but on YouTube directly where you can ask it questions, you can learn stuff and then if you want to generate a separate video or a separate audio that's probably going to come from the YouTube video. That's the way I imagine it's probably going to go on YouTube. And if you look at the searches on YouTube, that's just going to grow and grow. And then also we're going to get to a point where you need less and less people involved in the content creation process because the AI is taking bigger and bigger chunks of that process, right? So for example, if you look at notebook LM, it just started off with this. This was all you had in the beginning, right? You just had a little chatbot. Now you can generate videos, you can generate audio, you can generate mind maps, reports, briefing guides, study docs, ethic timelines, and also you can change the output language. And you can download and share all of these too, right? And the other thing is here as well, not only can you add your own sources in the format of Google Docs, slides, website, YouTube, copy, text, etc., but you can also discover sources and the AI will even just find the sources for you. So you see how this is gradually like the surface area of what this can do is just growing all the time, which is pretty wild, but scary at the same time if you truly understand what's happening here. Yeah. So that's basically it. So, for example, you could
17:33

Generating Content from Blog Posts

take a blog post. If we go back here, I'll try and find one on my LinkedIn. We'll have a cheeky gander. See what's popping here on LinkedIn. By the way, I got some training inside the AR profit boardroom. If you haven't seen already on how to grow your LinkedIn, it's working really well. If you need more help on that, just DM me inside the AR profit boardroom. But if we go back to post here, I'm going to try and find some examples of what we've created. So for example here you can create articles like this or you can take articles like this and plug them into notebookm. So let me show you how to do that. You just take all the content and then you can just paste it into notebookm. So let's go to add source copy text. Plug that in. Hit insert. Uncheck that source. We don't want to use that anymore. We're going to delete that out. Right. Remove the source. Delete that. Add source. Copy the text in. Boom. Shakalaka. All right. And now we're going to recreate a completely new notebook based on this blog post. And so you can insert blog posts and then generate stuff for you. You can also do other things as well, right? So you could take these prompts inside notebookm. So let's go over to notebookm over here. And then inside for example, let's say you want to generate an audio overview inside the customize section. You can plug in these prompts. You can say, okay, create a podcast where one host argues for SEO, the other argues against of it. Play the audio view as your audience listens and then add drama and humor, right? So, we would actually delete this bit. We don't need it, but yeah, add drama and humor whilst showing the audio overview. So, you can easily give it custom instructions and that sort of thing. So, really powerful way to use Notebook LM. It's just getting better and the number of updates seem to be speeding up all the time as well. If you're wondering, okay, how to use it or if you want all the video notes and the URLs from today, just join the AR profit boardroom and then go to SAPs and then inside the SAP section here, you'll find all the links and everything else, including the example notebook that I've built. So, feel free to check this out. Victoria says, "Is this free to use? " Yes, it's free to use. There is a pro version, but you can use a free version as well. All right. So for example, there are different plans. So it's free for individuals. If you're a student as well, I think there might be some free plans as well there. And then if you want to use pro mode, you just get five times more audio views and that sort of thing. So it's just like you can create more with this. But if you're just like a basic user, then you can use it for free. You can see free for individuals to get started. Build the latest Gemini models. Upload PDFs website, Google Docs, etc. Create oneclick summaries, generate audio views, and ask questions. So, really easy to use. Ashton says, "I love the website search, then it creates a talk back and forth with two people. " And Victoria says, "Cool. Thanks very much. " Yeah, this is what I really like as well. What you can do is if we go over here, we click on create new. I think there's a couple of ways you could do the website search. So, you could insert your website here, right? You could also do discover sources, right? So for example, let's say I was creating a notebook alm about myself which would be statistic but if you wanted to do it you could right so you could put okay any sources related to this person on this topic right so any sources related to Julian Goldie will hit submit so that's going to search the web the whole web for sources and then we can create a notebook about that right so you can see here it's taken my website some information about me, etc. Information about my book, the Goldie Agency homepage, some YouTube videos, etc. So, we'll import that now. Let's see what else we got here. Yeah, that's all good. We even have some podcasts with other people. We'll import that. And then, boom, Shakalaka. We're good to go. All right. So, you can see how we're using this. And then you can say okay tell me about Julian Goldie and we can generate the audio view, the video view, the mind map, etc. We can have little FAQs, study guide, timeline. This is just a random example, but you get the point, right? And it has like my whole bio. It's basically a Wikipedia page at this point. Now, if you go at the top here as well, you can click all of these or you can save it to a note. And it has sometimes it will have follow-up questions. So you can see at the bottom here, it's got follow-up questions. So if we click on that, how AI has transformed, Julian Gold's content creation and agency operations, blah blah. And then it will just break down exactly what he's been doing and how he's been doing it and that sort of thing, right? So really powerful process. If you actually go inside the AI profit boardroom and you type in notebookm, you'll see that we've got loads of training on this and how to use it. That's all been updated in August 2025. So, it's really recent stuff. And then if we come back to the medical report, we've got this good to go, right? And it's created this quiz that we can ask questions about, right? And then we're good to go on that. And then if we click on, for example, let's have a look here what we got. Yeah. So you got the audio view and the video view. They'll take a little bit of time, but you get the point. So thanks very much for watching.
23:08

Community and Support in AI Profit Boardroom

That's basically all the new updates on Notebook LM. As I said, we actually have a full course on Notebook LM and how to use it inside the air profit boardroom. It is free. Shown you it's free just in case anyone comments later, it's not free. Yes, it is. And then if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments section. And yeah, hope to see you inside the AI profit boardroom. Basically inside here, what we do is we take like the latest updates and we just teach you how to use them. We also have loads of information on like how to make more money and scale your business with AI. That's it. Basically, it has one goal which is to help you scale your business and make more money with AI. On top of that, inside the community here, you can post any questions that you have like you can see and we're happy to help you. It's got 1,200 members that you can ask questions about. We share our wins together. We learn and celebrate together. It's hard to meet people who are interested in this stuff. Whereas, for example, with this, you can post your wins and share and learn with each other. You can introduce yourself. You can see inside here, we've got like very high amounts of engagement. And then inside the classroom, you can get all of these different courses right here. Right. And then also what we do is we have five coaching calls per week. So, you can ask any questions live on the calls, jump on them. If you can't make them, what you can do is actually watch the call recordings and the coaching calls back, right? So if you have any questions, etc., you can just jump on these and just get help and support whenever you need. Imagine how much it would cost to hire an AI automation expert for an hour. You would probably you're looking at $500 an hour or something like this. Whereas you can just jump on those coaching calls included as part of the membership and then ask any questions you have. All right, so I hope to see you in there and I will catch you on the next one. Cheers for watching. Bye-bye.
