Today we're going to be testing out Kimmy K2. 5. So Kimmy have just built out a new AI as you can see right here. It's open- source model from China called Kimmy K2. 5. I'm excited to test this out. And essentially you can see the results here. So state-of-the-art on aentic benchmarks, open source state-of-the-art on vision and coding. You can code with taste which turns chats, images, and videos into websites with expressive motion. And you've got agent swarm as well, which is like self-directed agents working in parallel at scale. So you can have like up to 100 sub agents, uh 1,500 tool calls, 4. 5 times faster compared with single agent setup. The other cool thing here as well, if you haven't seen it already, is that it's free for a week on kilo code. And on benchmarks, it's actually outperforming Opus 4. 5. Now, in reality, we could test out, we can see how it performs, but essentially you can see how it's doing right here. So if you want to get access to it, um there's a few ways you can go to the Kimmy platform like you see right here and use the API and you can see the full details on their website. So it says, "Today we are introducing Kimmy K 2. 5, the most powerful open-source model to date. Kim K 2. 5 builds on Kim K2 with continued pre-training over approximately 15 trillion mixed visual and text tokens. Built as a native multimodal model, K2. 5 delivers in state-of-the-art coding and vision capabilities and a self-directed agent swarm paradigm. Right, for complex tasks, Kim K 2. 5 can self-direct as an agent swarm with up to 100 agents. So, basically, you can have like multiple sub agents working on the background. And you see how it performs to many of the models right here. Now, I personally always take these with a pinch of salt, but you can see how they're doing right here in terms of their performance. And if you have any questions as we go along, like feel free to ask. But you can see here, for example, in terms of agents, it's scoring 50. 2 on the HLE 4 benchmark compared to chat 5. 2, which is scoring 45, Opus 43, and Gemini 3 Pro, which is 45. 8. So in terms of scores, Kim K2 is winning on benchmarks. You also got, for example, browse comp, deep search, Q& A, etc. And it's performing really well on many of these models. You can also see how it performs for video which is quite interesting. So um it'll be interesting to see how this goes and you see the model comparison here. Right. So you can see for example you can actually code with vision. So apparently it's a strongest open-source model to date for coding with particularly strong capabilities in front-end development. Right. So it's pretty good for UI and that sort of thing. You see some examples right here as we've got. And then also beyond text prompts it excels at coding with vision. So you can give it images to work with that sort of stuff. And uh yeah, you see an example of it in the chat here. You see how it scores on the benchmarks for coding. It' be interesting to try this out. See how it performs. So we can try it out in the chat here. If you just go to kimmy. com, you can see we've got K2. 5 thinking, K2. 5 agent, um and agent swarm. It's quite interesting. So we've got agent swarm, which is great for like long writing, batch tasks, and massive search. So you could give like multiple tasks to the agent right here. Here's some examples. So there's a few case studies at the bottom. So for example, we can now create and edit documents for example. Um and all sorts of things there here as well. Right. So let's give it a task and we'll try the thinking mode here for more complex stuff. We can also switch to agent as well if we want to. So you can click here between agent and thinking mode like you can see. And if we grab some example prompts, let's see what we got here. We can take this one like so. So I'm going to say build a fastpaced typing game where random words fly across the screen and explode when typed. Add rising music tempo and screen shake on combos single HTML. Right? And then we're going to plug this in right here. Okay. So, we're going to hit this and we're going to switch to just normal thinking mode. Now, we're just going to log in and we've got that ready to go. All right. So, we'll try that maybe later. Let's hit enter on that and we should be good to go. Let's have a look on open router as well whilst it's doing that. And also, we should compare this against the best model that I've ever tested, which is Opus 4. 5. Obviously, it's on the benchmarks as well. So, let's switch to Opus 4. 5 here. We'll enter and then we'll go from there. Right. So, we're testing these side by side. We've got Kimmy K2 over here and then we have Opus 4. 5. Honestly, I would say that there's a much higher chance that Opus 4. 5 is going to outperform Kimik 2. 5. But we'll test them out. We'll give them a shot, see how they perform side by side um and see which one gives us the best results. Now, also we can try this inside uh Visual Studio Code or anti-gravity with Kilo Code. If you've never tried out Kilo Code, let me show you how to use that in a second. So to check out kilo code for example you can

open up something like anti-gravity or any sort of visual studio uh based ID like anti-gravity you've got visual studio code etc. Um and if we go to extensions over here, we can install Kilo code. So let's do that now. Kilo code over here, right? You can see it's installing and you can use Kilo code for free as well with Kilo code too. You can see that you can also generate code with natural language. Uh but also you can automate your browser with this too. So you can run it with your browser. And then if we go to Kilo code here, we're just going to get started with this. Open up authorize. Go back to Visual Studio Code and we should be good to go. And then if we go to settings, let's just switch to using the Kimmy model. Kimmy K2. 5 is the one that we want. And then we're good to go. We'll hit save on that. And then inside here, we can start coding with this. Right. So we can plug in the same prompt here and start coding directly. And then if we go back to Kim K2. 5 has now created the game. So let's preview that. So this is the game. It's actually looking pretty nice on the UI. So it says neon type strike. Type words to destroy them before they hit the edge. Right. Build combo fast tempo and screen shake. All right. So you can hear the music there. I actually going to mute that cuz it's kind of annoying. [snorts] I don't even know what words it's saying. It's kind of hard to guess what the words are, right? If we go to Claude Opus 4. 5. Let's try this one out. So this is type blaster. This is what we want, right? So you see how you can actually see the words and then you get the combos. If we go back to Kim K 2. 5, it's pretty hard to see those, but apart from that, it's working nicely. Maybe it's just my bad eyesight to be honest with you. Let's try that again. Disc. Oh, there we go. Yeah, nice. All right. I mean, honestly, like they were both pretty nice side by side, to be honest. Both of them working nicely. It was just a little bit harder to see the words on this page, but you can see how good Kim K 2. 5 is. I mean, it one-shoted that game and it worked pretty much first time around, so can't argue with that. So overall, Kimmy K2. 5 is looking pretty cool. Let's try another example right here. So we'll say create a speed matching or let's see what we got. Build a beat racer game where you control a ship dodging obstacles to the beat of music. All right. So we'll go back to a new chat. Plug this in. We can switch between thinking, do you know what? Actually, it' be interesting to create like a website with this. So I'm going to try creating a website instead. So we're going to take the information from my AR profit boarding website. plug that in and we'll say create a beautiful modern interesting elegant dopamine inducing website using the text below for my AI automation community. The AI profit border. All right. And then we'll take that and we'll do the same thing inside Claude Opus 4. 5. Honestly, they look pretty good like side by side. Not bad at So now it's beginning to build out our website. This kind of feels a little bit like Manis or something like that. So you see how I've got like the um virtual computer on the right hand side and then we've got the left hand side here where it's going off and coding this. It really does. It feels like Manis or Genpark or something like that. So it's now writing the to-do list to code that out. So this is approaching it completely differently from something like Claude. Claude will just go off and just create it in artifact straight away. Whereas with the Gentic mode inside Kimk 2. 5, um you can start building this. Now, you do seem to get limited credits on the free plan. So, you can see here it says two left and they're more available on January the 31st, which is like 4 days away. So, that does seem to be limited, but it's cool that you get a few free credits and you test it out. It'll be interesting to see what we actually get back from that. You've also got, for example, websites, docs, slides, sheets, deep research, and Kimmy code as well. So Kimmy code is it looks like that's on a paid plan only whereas you can use Kimmy directly inside the chat here for free and if you switch away from agent. So agent you get limited credits but then on the normal version I think you get like a free plan that you can just create more stuff with. So that's pretty cool as well. Let's try something else out now. So I'm going to go inside here and say create a PS5 controller in HTML. Usually most LLMs that I've tried completely fail at this. Right. So if we go to a new chat here inside Claude, plug that in. Do the same thing inside Kimmy. So we got them coding out side by side. It does look like Claude is way faster than Kimmy, but let's see. We'll see what you know which one gives the best outputs and it's also available in Hugging Face, so it is an open source model. Damian says, "Have you seen that there's a free week plan with uh to code with Kimmy? " I think that's the kilo code we want we were looking at. That said, it was free for a week. Although, when I open up Kim uh Kilo Code before, it looked like it was still paid. So, if we open up, for example, Vio Studio Code, we try and use Kilo Code here with Kimmy K2. 5. As you can see, it looks like it's paid. There we go. Kim K 2. 5. Yeah, it looks like So, you have to make sure you select the free version. It's uh it's got free in brackets next to it. And then you can code out from there. Right. So, if we plug that in, hit enter. It still says

you run out of credits there. Even though it's on the free plan, it's using API request. Oh, okay. Now it's working. So even if it says like you have no credits, blah, blah, you can still code out for free with Kimik K2. 5 inside Visual Studio Code as you can see right here. So that's pretty cool. So those are two different ways. I actually tried to open up Kilo code inside anti-gravity and you've got it over here as well. So if you prefer using anti-gravity with kilo code, you can do that and then just type in the list Kim K2. 53 and then you can start coding out with it inside anti-gravity as well. So that's pretty cool too. Now you can see that we've got both versions ready. So this is the PS5 controller from which looks more like a spaceship from uh Claude Opus 4. 5. And if we play the one from Kimmy K2. 5, let's see what we got. At least he's clickable. It doesn't have a L2 or R2 though. It's not It's I've seen Gemini produce worse to be fair. So it's not that bad, but it's not great. I would actually say it's better. It's done better than Claude Opus 4. 5. So this is Claude Opus 4. 5 as you can see and it's pretty basic, pretty average. We're using Opus. And then if we look at communicate 2. 5 at least the buttons are clickable. I would say genuinely Kim 2. 51 although both of them are not great. Uh but still Jean says, "How do I keep it from sending my data? " So you'd probably just host it locally, right? That's probably the best way to do it. Don't do anything you're not comfortable with. That's what I would say. Aria says, "Open source means open source means like you can just host it locally. It's you know the code is open source to everyone right so for example like the code for opus 4. 5 is not accessible for everyone but open source models share it on GitHub or hugging phase and you can host these models locally as well as um modify them as well. Kind of like Manace and that sort of thing. You can see here it's building out the website still. So, it's a lot slower using the agent mode than it is using the thinking mode.
