Intro: Google's New Design-to-Code Tool

Google just dropped something that's going to change how you build websites forever. You can now turn words into full designs in seconds. No coding required. No design skills needed. Just type what you want and watch it appear on screen. This isn't some basic template builder either. We're talking real custom designs that actually look good. And here's the crazy part. It connects directly to your coding tools now. So you can design and code in the same place. No more switching between 10 different apps. The updates they just released are honestly insane. I'm going to show you exactly what changed and why this matters. Let's get into it. Hey, if we haven't met already, I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, CEO of SEO agency Goldie Agency. Whilst he's helping clients get more leads and customers, I'm here to help you get the latest AI updates. Julian Goldie reads every comment. So, make sure you comment below. All right, so Google just released something during their developer week. That's wild. They updated this tool called Google Stitch. And the updates they just dropped completely change how designers and developers work together. Google Stitch

What is Google Stitch?

is an AI design tool powered by Gemini AI. What it does is turn your ideas into actual user interface designs. So you can type something like create a landing page for an AI automation community that helps people save time with AI tools. And Stitch will generate a full design for you, not a wireframe. A real polished design that looks like a designer spent hours on it. But here's where it gets better. It gives you the actual code too, HTML, CSS, React or TypeScript. So you can take that design and use it immediately. The biggest

The Stitch MCP Server Update

update is called the Stitch MCP server. This was announced on developer week day 2. And this changes everything. What the MCP server does is connect Stitch directly to your coding environment. So if you're working in VS Code, you can now generate designs right there. You don't have to leave your code. You just ask for a design and it appears in your workflow. Say you're building a new feature. You're writing code and you need a new screen design before you'd have to stop coding. Open Figma or Stitch in a browser. Create the design. Export it. Then come back to your code. That's five steps in 20 minutes. Now with the MCP server, you just type in your IDE. Generate a dashboard screen for tracking AI automation tasks. Boom. The design appears. The code is ready. No context switching. No workflow interruption. That's massive for productivity. Every time you switch tools, you lose focus. This keeps you in flow state. The MCP server also understands your project context. It can see what you're building. It knows your design language, so the screens it creates actually match the rest of your app. That's the kind of detail that usually takes hours of manual work. There's also a Gemini CLI extension.

Gemini CLI & Better Export Options

Now, this came out on developer week day 3. You can use Stitch from the command line. You can script it, automate it, build it into your deployment process. You could literally automate design generation as part of your build. The export options got way better, too. You can export directly to Google AI Studio with one click. No copying and pasting. You can also export to Figma for collaboration or grab the raw code in whatever format you need. Let me show

Workflow Demo: Building a Dashboard

you how this works. Say you're running the AI profit boardroom, an AI automation community. You want to create a member dashboard that shows progress, featured tools, and next steps. You open Stitch and type. Design a member dashboard for AI profit boardroom. Show progress tracking featured AI tools, upcoming live sessions, and a resource library. Make it clean, modern, and easy to navigate. Stitch generates the design in seconds. You see a beautiful dashboard with all those elements laid out professionally. Progress bar, grid of AI tool cards, calendar for sessions, sidebar for resources. It looks like something a designer would charge thousands for, but you got it in 30 seconds. Now you click export. Grab the React code, drop it into your project, make a few tweaks to match your brand colors. You've got a productionready dashboard. That whole process took 10 minutes. Before these updates, that would have been days. And you can iterate super fast. Don't like the layout? Type a new prompt. Make the dashboard more spacious with larger cards. New design appears. Don't like the colors? Use a darker theme with blue accents. Instant update. You can test 10 versions in the time it used to take to get one draft. That speed is what makes this a gamecher. You can also create

Multi-Screen Flows & Mobile UI

multi-creen flows. Design entire user journeys, the whole signup process, the onboarding flow, the checkout experience. You design each screen, connect them together, and click through the prototype to test the user experience. See if the flow makes sense. Fix it before you write any real code. Every design is automatically responsive, works on phones, tablets, and desktops. You don't have to design three separate versions. Stitch handles all of that. Most traffic is mobile today. If your site doesn't work on phones, you're losing people. Stitch makes sure that never happens. How to Access Google Stitch

what you need to know if you want to use this. First, go to stitchwithgoogle. com. They have documentation that walks you through everything. Second, for the MCP server, search Stitch MCP server on GitHub. You'll find community implementations. Third, for the Gemini CLI extension, check the official documentation from developer week day three. Here's my honest take. These updates matter because they remove friction. Every step you remove from a process makes it more likely you'll actually do it. Before building a new feature meant coordinating between designers and developers, waiting for mock-ups, going back and forth on revisions, every step added time. Now you can go from idea to working code in one flow. that changes what's possible for small teams and solo builders. Some people will say AI can't replace real designers, and they're partly right. For really complex, highly custom work, you still want an expert. But for most things, landing pages, dashboards, admin panels, basic app screens, AI is absolutely good enough now, and it's getting better every week. The question isn't whether AI will replace some design work it already has. The question is how you adapt and use these tools to move faster. The other thing I love is the learning aspect. If you're not a designer, using Stitch teaches you design principles. You see what good layouts look like, how spacing works, how color schemes come together. You start to develop taste. Same with code. If you're not a developer, seeing the code Stitch generates helps you learn. You're not just using a magic black box. You're seeing under the hood. Here's my
