Cursor Agent Skills Update is INSANE!

So, Curser have just released a brand new update called agent skills. And skills let agents discover and run specialized prompts and code. Right. So, today we're going to be setting it up and figuring out how to use it. Let's get straight into it. We've got cursor installed in the background. So, let's open up. And you can see, for example, here inside the demo video, it said set up a dashboard with core metrics blah blah. Actually reads the dashboard skill and explores how to set this up. Right? So these are like pre-programmed skills that create agents specialize in different tasks, right? So for example, it could be like creating dashboards or UI and that sort of thing. So let's see how this works. And you've got different skills that you can use, right? So for example, you could do portable um skills with scripts and code, progressives, skills that load resources on demand or skills stored as files, right? And you can also have skills that work across any agent um as well across this, right? So you got like project level, individual level, user level, etc. Right? Now these skills are stored as a skill. md file. So if you've used these on anti-gravity or anything like that, you know that this is how they typically look. So you got the skill, when to use it, and the instructions. The when to use bit helps you train these AI agent skills to make sure that they automatically pick up when they should be using them directly. All right, so let's go to cursor here. We're going to log in. Now we've got anti-gravity loaded like so. We just open up a new project and load in a new folder. Now, you can actually install skills directly from GitHub, right? Which allows you to get pre-installed or pre-programmed skills and then install them quickly. So, if you don't want to set all of these up yourself, you can just load in something from GitHub. We'll get straight into that. So, let's say, for example, we've got a GitHub like this with loads of agent skills, right? We can load this directly into cursor. So, let's get started. And basically what we've done is we copied and pasted the GitHub from this page went into the chat inside cursor and then we're going to run these skills and set them up inside the directory. So you can see on the right hand side now we have all these skills being imported that we can then use to help build our projects. Right? So for example like even the Twitter algorithm updator, we have uh MCP builder, we have the connect apps option as well, right? And these are all labeled as different skills that are pre-installed with specific talents, right? And the cool thing about this is like you can basically augment cursor to make it way more powerful because you're using all these skills to connect it across different platforms, right? So now if we start a new chat inside the project and we say, okay, create a website for the AR profit boardroom using your front-end skills. research Julian Goldie on the web plus design a page for his AR profit boredom community based on your research about it plus use any relevant skills you find inside the project. All right. So it's installed over 30 skills even like document processing. So you can see for example it can create like word, PDF, powerpoints. It's got development tools like artifacts builder, MCP builder, change log generator and it's got like marketing skills too like lead research or competitive analysis etc. So when we actually start to create this project using the prompt it can leverage all of those skills as you can see it's actually reading the skill MD file to figure this out and learn what it can do in the workflows. Zam says I pay for clawed code. Is it worth it these days? 100%. I mean like if you're using claw to its full ability then you're probably like me and you're using it every single day all day to help you build a better system or to build better processes or even just to help you of ideas right so for me it saves me so much time and bear in mind like you know look at the cost of Claude versus the cost of hiring someone right hiring someone would be way more expensive timeconuming and stressful versus just using Claude I was actually I was speaking to a friend of mine recently and uh he was saying like imagine if for every hour you spent training your team, you just built another agent instead. Like, what's going to give you more leverage, right? And for sure, it's going to be claw code. That's why I have time to do these live streams. So, now it's using the artifacts builder skill to create the website, and it will just automatically run through these skills as it begins to build out the project. Back in two sec. So, now it's just beginning to finish off the artifact, and it's run through all the to-dos. So, added the footer, social proof, the features and benefits, designed it, etc. And now we've got the website created, right? So, let's open this up. And boom. Look at that. The website is ready to go. Looks super clean. Looks super nice. It's actually I didn't have to give it any context or information about the AI profit boardroom. Like, it just went off and figured it out. It's actually written and created a better website than I already have. Now, you can also see here it says 2,100 members building AI business. The interesting thing about this is that if we go to the profit boardroom, it's actually gone

to that page live, looked at how many members we have and then added that to the page. Right? The page itself looks clean. It looks super nice. It's got the right information. And if we compare that to our existing website, right? So this is the old website. This is the new website. The new website looks way nicer, right? And then we can always tailor it to our brand and everything else. Now, if we go inside cursor here, we could also use other skills to make it better. But let's just have a look and say, okay, what skills did you use to create this? So, it's got the web search and you also use the artifacts builder, right? I'm going to say, okay, now use the other skills inside my project that are pre-installed to plan, improve the UI, add more features, etc. And it's reading through all the skill MD files to see what else it can do and improve. Right? So, for example, tech innovation skills. And before we go ahead, I'm going to say, okay, give me a list of the skills you're using before you create this. Now, what you can also do here is you can click on app and or you can press forward slash you can actually create your own skills or create your own sub agents. So that's the other option is like you can always create your own too or you could take an existing workflow that you've already made. So for example like creating websites for the air puffer boardroom and save that as a skill so that each time you need to update the website you can just use the same workflow. And now you can see it's like right here's the skills I'm going to use. So the theme factory, the content research writer, the brand guidelines, the competitive ads extractor, Twitter algorithm updator, right? And all these different skills that we can use to make this much better. So now I'm going to say, okay, go ahead and improve the UI of the website, plus link everything to our sales page. And we'll include the link to the sales page. And so literally in like two different chats, we installed the plug, we installed the free skills to cursor using the GitHub. And then inside this section, we've now created the project, leveraged all the skills inside the project, and we can make this 10 times nicer. It's already looking a lot better than our existing website, but hopefully on the second round we can make it even better. Now, what you could also do is you could even empower cursor to be able to create its own videos, right? So, if you use something like reotion, remotion is a skill that you can use to create videos with these new agent skills. You can import this GitHub like so, install it to cursor and then it can create like beautiful animations like you see right here um using the AI. And again, this is another free school skill you can install into the project and then you can quickly create your own animations, too. So, there's so many different things you can do now that you can use agent skills inside cursor. And now we've got the new version of the page. Let's open this up. And bear in mind, like I can do all of this without being up to code. So, it really doesn't take a developer to be able to do this. And now we've got the new page, right? This is leveraging the other skills that we have. So, just to show you a before and after, this is the existing live page that we've got. And it looks pretty basic. It was impressive at the time. I did the whole thing. We actually built it with manners. But then if we have a look at the new page, it looks way better using these agent skills inside cursor. Right now, now that we've actually asked cursor to use more of the skills installed inside the project, you can actually see we've got an even more impressive version right here. Right. Even for example, the little details like how um you've got like the neon colors pulsating inside the text. You've got like a stronger CTA button right there. The design looks nicer. It's really clean. It was all automated and the web research agent just went off research the web and then found the information about us, how many members we have, what we sell, etc. And I didn't need to give cursor any context. It just used all the skills inside its directory. So, it's a really powerful tool, really easy to set up. You don't need to be able to code to use it.
