Intro

OpenClaw is the most powerful AI tool ever created, but only if you do these five things right after you set it up. If you don't do these five things I'm about to show you, your OpenClaw is basically just a glorified chat GPT. The good news is, even if you're already set up, if you do these five things now, I promise your OpenClaw will be way more productive. By the end of this video, your OpenClaw will be a super intelligent 24/7 autonomous AI employee working directly for you. Let's get into it. So, you just set up your Open Claw.

Brain dumping

It's up and running. Maybe it's on a Mac Mini. Maybe it's on an old dusty laptop. Doesn't matter. You want to do these five things. The first of which is brain dump. You want to give your open claw crucial context that will make it so much more powerful and personalized. But what should you brain dump to your open claw? What should you tell it about you? The good news is I got a perfect list ready to go. So, here is what you want to tell your open claw immediately. And the reason why this is so powerful is the moment your open claw knows what your interests are, your goals are, your ambitions, what you're trying to achieve in life, it can start doing tasks autonomously for you that brings you closer to those goals and ambitions. If it doesn't know what you're trying to achieve, how is it supposed to bring you closer to your goals? How's it supposed to make your life more productive? The first thing you need to do is go in, brain dump your interest. So, what you like, what you're interested in. This is going to help it give you news keep you up to date on niches you have interest about. You want to give it all your interests. These next three are probably the most important. Your career, your goals, your ambitions. For me, OpenClaw has been instrumental on helping me with my ambitions, on growing my SAS creator buddy, on growing my different content channels. I've gone from 50K subscribers to 120K subscribers on YouTube since I started using OpenClaw. It has been incredible for me to get closer to all my goals. So, you want to go in and you want to tell what you're trying to achieve. Are you trying to get promoted at work? grow your social media? Are you just trying to make more revenue overall? Are you trying to learn something about AI? You put that in and once it knows your ambitions, it can start doing things for you while you sleep to help you achieve those goals and ambitions. So these are hyper critical. And the good thing is if you can't think of these, if you're struggling to think of these, you can do what's called reverse prompting. So you can go to your AI, your Claw Bond, and say, "Hey, I'm trying to figure out what my goals and ambitions are. Can you ask me a few questions that can help pull it out of me? " And your open call will actually help tease those goals and ambitions out of you. So if you can't answer any of these five things and put it into your open claw, just reverse prompt and your open claw will help you figure what those are. Giving your open claw this context off the rip will make it 10 times more powerful and help come up with tasks that will be so much more productive for you. The next thing you want to do with
2:52

Use your tools

your open claw is connect it to all of the tools that matter to you. Open claw is great because it can pull data from a 100 different sources so that it can do tasks more effectively. So for instance, I use things three as my personal organization tool. Every day I go in, I have my tasks I need to complete and I figure out what I have to do that day. OpenClaw can figure out how to connect to a lot of these tools and pull the data in. So for instance, right after I got started with OpenClaw, I said I use Things 3 for productivity. Can you grab my tasks from that? It went online, it researched the things 3 API and it was able to actually start pulling my tasks into OpenClaw. Now every morning it automatically looks at what I have to do that day and starts taking tasks off my plate for me. Now I have an automated system where my AI is looking at all my tasks that day and just doing anything it can do for me and helping me out. I'm getting so much more work done since it started connecting to my things three. So whatever productivity tools you're using, whatever communication tools you're using, just brain dump into your open claw all those tools and like okay I can connect to this. I don't know how to connect to this but let me figure that out and it will connect to those things. That's the best part about all this is it's self-improving and the things it doesn't know how to do, it will just figure it out. So, put your tools in, lean on your OpenClaw, and it will figure out how to connect to all your tools for you and it will start including it in all its automated workflows like it includes my to-do list. Once your Open Claw knows

Mission Control

everything about you, once it's starting to pull in data from all your other tools, it is time to create some custom tools for yourself. And the way I like to do that is with a mission control, which is what you see here. Now, I've talked about mission control on a lot of my videos. If you've watched them so far, by the way, if you haven't watched them so far, make sure to subscribe and turn notifications down below. I've literally spent hundreds of hours in OpenClaw. So, I am going to pump out so much helpful content that will make you a master. But the mission control is so critical for your workflow, and it's so critical you get it set up right away. What you're able to do in a mission control is have your open claw build out any tools it needs as you're working with it. So for instance, it was starting to schedule a lot of its own tasks and I wanted to track all the tasks it was doing autonomously. So I said, "Hey, can you build a calendar for us inside our mission control? " And it went and just built out this entire calendar. I didn't have to code anything. It was writing a lot of planning documents for me, but I didn't have any way to see them. So I said, "Hey, can you build a tool where I can review all the documents you're creating for me? " And it went and built this entire docs tool. What you want to do off the rip is you want to set up a mission control. go to your OpenClaw, say, "Hey, I want a place, a mission control where we can build out custom tools. Please build this in next. js and host it locally. " It will then build out the shell of your mission control. And then as you go, you can add your own custom tooling in. If you want a couple of tools off the bat that you can make that will be very helpful. You can make a task tool that tracks all your tasks as your OpenClaw does them. You can create the calendar tool, which shows you all the tasks your OpenClaw is doing autonomously. And then I would also set up the documents view so you can view all the documents it's creating. From there you can just create custom tools as you go. If you're a content creator, create a content creation tool. Whatever you need, you just build it as you go. And all you have to do is just tell your OpenClaw to build it for you. You don't need technical knowledge to do this. This mission control is where you're going to spend most of your time. So you want it set up right away so you can start pumping out those custom tools. By the way, if you've learned anything so far, make sure to leave a like down below. Also, this Friday, I'm doing a live boot camp inside the Vibe Coding Academy. I do it every single Friday, and if you join now, you get all of the past recordings, so you can watch them all. Make sure to join the community of over 700 people in the Vibe Coding Academy. Link for that down below. I promise you'll have a fun time with me in there. Next, you want to figure out

Mission statement

your mission statement. This might be the most important tip I give out of all five of these. And that is creating a mission statement that both you and your open claw can stick to. This is a mission statement that will be remembered with every single prompt you give to your open claw. So that every task it does, it brings you closer to this mission statement. So for instance, for me, my mission statement with my open claw is an autonomous organization of AI agents that does work for me and produces value 247. That's what I'm trying to create. I'm trying to create a digital company filled with agents just doing work autonomously at all times. And so when I give my open claw task, I wanted to remember that mission statement so that everything it does brings us closer to that mission. You need your own mission statement. This will help make every task your open claw does that much more productive. So if I'm you, you have two options. You can either think of your mission statement if you know one and then go in and say, "Hey, create a mission statement and put at the top of our mission control so you remember it with everything we do or if you don't know what your mission statement should be. " Again, a perfect opportunity to reverse prompt. Say, "Hey, OpenClaw, based on everything you know about me, based on our tasks and our workflows, what should our mission statement be? What should the one statement be that you remember with every single task that will help us be more productive and bring us closer to the goals and ambitions we talked about? You create that mission statement. You say, "Put it at the top of your mission control. " And now moving forward, everything it does, every decision it makes, every task it does will have that mission statement in mind so you get closer to your goals. This is like a way of taking your massive giant laser that is open claw and having it focused on one point. That's what the mission statement is. You need to create that mission statement to be more productive. So, those have been four things you need to do right when you get set up. Here's
8:33

Make it proactive

the fifth thing. The fifth thing you need to do right when you get set up is set expectation with your open claw around how you want to work together with it. The number one complaint I get, I think, is, "Oh, my open claw isn't proactive at all. You keep talking about how your OpenClaw does tasks for you autonomously and proactively. Mine doesn't do that. How the hell are you doing that? I did it because I set expectations with my open claw. That's how I wanted it to work. So, what does that mean? How do you set expectations with your open claw? When you get hired at a company, you typically sit down with your boss and your boss goes, I'd like you to come in at these times. do this. I'd like you to take care of this and I'd like you to handle this. That sets the expectation of what you want to do. But so many people don't do that with their open claw. need to treat it like an employee and talk to it the same way. So, when I start with my open call, I literally went in and I'll put this prompt down below so you can steal it. I say this, you are my autonomous, proactive employee. I want you to do work with me that brings us closer to our mission statement. I want to wake up every morning and be pleasantly surprised by the work you completed. Please schedule time for every night and afternoon to do a task that brings us closer to our mission statement. What this will do is cause your AI employee, your open claw to understand what your working relationship will be and also it will start scheduling regular task every single night to get you closer to your mission statement. This is how your open claw becomes proactive. And that's why I said at the beginning of this video, if you don't do these things, you're just using basically a glorified chat GPT because it doesn't just do things for you. You need to set those expectations. So take this prompt, put it in, and your open claw will start being a lot more proactive for you, and you'll wake up every morning like, "Oh, wow. It did this for me. This is incredible. " You do these five things, your open claw is going to be so much more productive. I promise you. Let me know down below if any of these five things you haven't done yet, and which ones you're planning to do immediately. Also, if you've done anything to make your open claw more proactive, let me know down below, too. I'll include it in my next video. Again, if this was helpful, leave a like. Make sure to subscribe and turn on notifications and check out the Vibe Coding Academy down below. So glad you watch my videos.
