The US Just Made a $10 Billion Move to Stop China

The US just launched a $10 billion project because they realized China had control over the one material powering AI, EVs, and the entire power grid. Here's what most people don't realize. Google alone uses over 100 million lithium ion battery cells inside its data centers to make sure AI never goes offline. But supply is tight. China controls most of the world's lithium processing, which means America's supply chain depends on someone else. Now, there's a company called Energy X developing technology designed to extract lithium more efficiently directly from brine sources. They've received a $5 million grant from the US Department of Energy. General Motors led a $50 million funding round alongside companies like POSCO and ENIE. At the same time, the US government is committing billions towards securing critical minerals domestically because energy independence is becoming a priority. Lithium isn't just a battery material. It's infrastructure for the AI era. Right now, Energy X is priced at $11 a share until February 26th. Just something to be aware of because the AI revolution isn't only about code. It's about what powers it. And that story is only getting started.
