One of these cards makes you money and one puts you at risk. Which one should you choose? If you pick a credit card, you can earn cash back and rewards by spending the bank's money first instead of your own. Which means if an item is faulty or doesn't arrive, you can call the bank and claim your money back. However, you have to pay the bank back on time or you'll pay interest and damage your credit score. If you choose a debit card, you'll be spending your own money instead, which feels safer because there's no risk of debt. But there's also no rewards, credit building, or extra protection.
