In a small town outside Candy Corn Village in the culdesac at the end of Pumpkin Patch Lane lies a home of retired ghouls, ghosts, and goblins in Monster Manor. — Okay, everyone, gather around. Tonight's the night. Halloween is obviously our biggest night. Everyone comes for candy. We smile. We wave. But we do not show off our magic. No one can know about our special powers. I'd like to give a big spooky shout out to werewolf for decorating the house and another spooky shout out to Frankenstein for making sure we have our correct costumes. — I love Halloween. On other days, people run away from me. But on Halloween, everyone is very nice. — Remember, it is kosher to wear our costumes today, but we still have to hide our secret powers and special tricks. I'm looking at you, Jacko'Lantern. — I've got hella powers, but which says we're not allowed to show anyone or we'll freak them out. And of course, a spooky shout out to Count Dracula for picking up our Halloween candy. — Uh, okay. So, the thing is, I'm not big on running errands during the daylight. Uh, hello. Are you open? — I told you to go first thing this morning. — I can't go out in daylight. — This is a disaster. This is worse than your charity idea. — The blood drive was a good idea. And if the candy mattered so much, you should have sent someone else like Ghost. — No, not Ghost. You know, Ghost is untrustworthy. — I am so tired of witch saying that. So what? I ghosted her one time once and all of a sudden I'm untrustworthy. Come on. — Where is that ghost? — Uh, I might have an idea. If we don't have treats, perhaps we can offer tricks. — No tricks. We must always hide our tricks. — Maybe we should consider it. We don't have any other options. — Maybe we just try at this once. — Maybe. We've never shown our powers before, but spooky times call for spooky measures. Trick or treaters, come on in. We have no treats, but we have tricks. — Here goes. Wow, — look. That is so cool. — Thanks. — Do it again. — Maybe in a minute. They like our tricks. Turns out the thing about Halloween is that you can be whoever you want to be. Huh? Maybe that's true every day. — Look at the sparkles. Looks like everyone loves the tricks. Maybe it's time we stopped hiding our magic and shared it all year long. Huh? — Hey, uh, witch, would you like to dance? — Oh, well, um, I would like that very much. And so, on quiet autumn nights near Pumpkin Patch Lane, you might hear laughter or the occasional fright. But don't be afraid. It's only the monsters of Monster Manor being themselves at last.
