Segment 1 (00:00 - 04:00)

Hey everyone, my name is Alexia and I'm a creative director and visual artist. So before I dive in, I just wanted to give some context for why I created Bloomchild. Um, so I'm a first generation kid from Jamaica and I grew up in the suburbs of Connecticut and there weren't really a lot of kids that looked like me. I was also a tomboy and artsy fartsy creative nerd and I essentially grew up never really feeling like I fit into any kind of group. So I kind of grew up feeling isolated and it wasn't until I really started embracing this kind of artsy side of me and pursuing photography that I started growing into myself and feeling a sense of self-acceptance, finding my creative tribe and being lucky enough now to be able to create and make things full-time. So, Bloomchild is really a story about that journey, that coming of age, um, going from feeling different and misunderstood and lonely and isolated to self-acceptance and a feeling of belonging. So, let's dive in to the extremely laborious process of creating Bloomchild and hopefully inspire you guys when you go off to um, use AI tools or even create your own projects without AI. Let's get started. Once I had my world and my story built out, I had to get a consistent look and feel in Sora. And the best way to do this is to always use the same descriptive keywords in all of your prompts and keeping the prompts as detailed as possible. Now that Bloomchild's out in the world, I've been working on extending the storytelling and new Sora tools are making this really exciting. So, I used the original trailer footage and use Sto's image gen to imagine different styles. And then I could take those styles and turn them into videos. This way, I can start to see how would Bloomchild look as claimation, anime, or even a 3D cartoon film. This is all super helpful once you're ready to start producing your film. Another really great tool is blending. This allows you to create visual effects without needing to be a pro in After Effects. You get to create really cool and interesting transitions. And as I continue building out Bloomchild, I'm using tons of different renders of the environment and using Blend to stitch them all together. This whole film concept with Sora was designed to be a call to action, a pitch for production studios, grant commissions, film festivals. Honestly, anyone who really resonates with the story of Bloomchild and wants to help me tell that story, I've got an awesome post-production crew and executive producer and we're ready. We are ready to like make this thing. Um, you know, from a technical standpoint, I think using motion capture with a real human and then connecting that to a 3D CGI creation of Bloomchild in something like Unreal Engine, using a combination of virtual sets with liveaction and, you know, green screen. I think that this could be a really fun project to make and it would also be something that I think would resonate with a lot of people. So, if you're watching this and you want to help support or make this thing, please reach out. And if not, I hope you enjoyed Bloomchild. the BTS and it was at the very least inspiring. And if you're into these kinds of film concepts and AI plus VFX content, please subscribe because I will continue to be making these things um for as long as I can. Uh so, hope to see you guys soon and thanks for watching.
