AI Music Gen Update: Google’s Lyria 3 Arrives

Welcome back to the Matt Vidpro AI YouTube channel. Today we're talking all about AI music generation. There's some new models that I think you're really going to like and it's safe to say that my mind is sufficiently blown. First up, Liaria 3. Lia 3 by Google. This is just released today and it's their latest most advanced music model available in the Gemini app and the web interface. I hope this one is also available on the free plans because it only generates up to 30 seconds. It's not really usable for any serious circumstances unless you're just doing something short. Something to note off the bat is that they've made an effort to support more languages. Although many top generators have already supported these languages for a while. One extremely cool thing is that we have watermarked music. You can't hear it, but to a computer, it is detectable as being made with Google's AI. Very cool safety feature. Quick Detour: Gemini 3.1 Pro’s SVG/Code Art Leap

today Gemini 3. 1 Pro also launched. And this is a significant improvement in overall intelligence. And hopefully this model is also less lazy. Something I previously did not like about Gemini 3. There are some pretty significant increases just in benchmarks. And understand, benchmarks are far from everything. What's really blowing my mind about 3. 1 Pro is its ability to do SVGs, for example. Look at the detail of this Xbox controller that is made entirely with code. That is not an image generation. Check out this quick comparison. 3D Voxil Pokemon. It puts the original Gemini 3 Pro to shame. There's like twice as much detail. Gemini 3. 1 Pro looks like a whole Minecraft world. Testing Lyria 3 in Gemini: Genre Demos & First Impressions

Liria 3, whatever it's called. Let's mess around with this thing in Gemini. You can see there are a lot of examples. 90s rap. — I drop gems like a lyrical architect. Word up. Got a mental rolodex that only the realest connect with. This ain't just rhyming. It's aligning my intellect. The blue — very, very clear. It's keeping up with that fast pace. 90s rap. Hey, we've been able to do that for a while in the AI music gen space, but it's coming through great. Very polished. Latin pop. Let's own the night by hola. We're shining so bright over your fantasy. — That one is maybe slightly more giving, but you can barely tell that it's AI folk ballad. And all the jagged parts I own are just the proof that I have grown. Eight bit kawaii METAL CINEMATIC. YEAH, that sounds good. You could tell this model has a broad range and lots of depth, but it's very much safety locked. You can't request specific artists, that's for sure. Nor can you request those artists specific sounds. What's this bad music? I am the horned ghost of the forest veins. Executing command. Searching for meaning. Cannot compute. I can has cheeseburger now. The future is what the hell meditation or a birthday roast. — Well, look who's here standing tall, answering that old age call. Another year has come and gone. Still got that same old stubborn on. I'd say — the fact this isn't getting a dedicated interface. It's in Gemini 30-cond demo. They're really aiming this towards gimmicky use cases. It's not super serious. I mean, it can make you jingle or something, but incredibly catchy. Early 2000s cartoon intro for Breaking Bad. Everything at this point is going through Gemini 3 series. Loads the model up as an API, writes your prompt, and writes all the lyrics for you. You could also request, of course, specific lyrics. You could say, "Hey, use these lyrics. It's a crazy wild new reality. Breaking bad. — Yeah, he's breaking bad. Go, go. — I mean, it's virtually indistinguishable that it's not AI. It sounds very professional and clinical, though. This model seems very steered, very fine-tuned. It does have depth. It does have breadth, but I don't know. Meet the Wildcard: Sundo AI V3 Preview (Unrestricted)

this, there's another competitor. It's called Tsunado AI and they have this upcoming V3 preview, but it is a public preview. Although you need invite access, it's easy to get an invite. I recommend through their Discord server or even my Discord server. There might be a couple of people willing to offer some invites, but this upcoming V3 preview model is nuts. And unlike Sunno AI, Sununado is unrestricted in terms of what they allow. The model can be seen in pretty much its full breadth, but there are a couple of caveats. So to reset the deck, first again listen to Lia 3 hip hop emo rap. You're a crazy person trying to eat literal rocks. Used to just collect the rose quartz on my window sill. You can directly input artists like Juiceworld for example and it will fully generate it no problem despite that absolutely using the voice likeness style of that artist. Is it legal to use this generation and profit off of it? US copyright law is likely going to come back and say no. However, Sununado's terms of service basically just say bro don't generate anything that infringes on copyright and then go trying to make money on it. If you do, it's your fault, not our fault. Whether or not this is going to work for them long term is left to be seen. But as I said, it can do this for days. Crunching hard, stones on my toe, different flavor. Gravel, granite, crystal clear. — I tried a few different artists. The next one I tried was Queen. Doing some very hype emotional Anthem rock. And it's about Autobots. Yes, Autobots giving you a haircut. This generation honestly didn't come through all that great. That's something I noticed about this model is that sometimes you'll get nasty, stingy sound in generations. They're a little bit muddled, not all the way there. But this model is very creative and sometimes it can really adhere and when it nails things, oh man, it just gets them right. We've got some Eminem crushing concrete with chitting claws. Minute smith jaws army in my veins. Marching sink on the foot overlook you blink I sting. Snap scatter link shadow in the kitchen night in the bright then gone. Always out of sight I thrive in cracks live in the brakes. No leather weather any mistake. Bite down better built for the gutter. Dreaming darkness. It's going to shut a sweat of air. I'm there, not there. Never caught, never fail, never care, — I crave, I crawl, — I freak, I b I'm king on the scraps and scars. All hell, I rise when you fall apart and I cling these out. I fight my empire in the walls. Which begs the question, you know, if I could theoretically import my own voice into this and just adhere to the pronunciation of Eminem, I could create something entirely custom, but inspired by what is heavily trained and ingrained in the AI, which we can clearly see is the case here. Like you could tell it's him. As the AI tries to capture that extremely low tone, it seems to have some weird audio distortion effects. You can definitely tell it's AI, but it's just so close. all beneath these broken nails trying to make something live. I planted every seed belieing. Thought I'd taste the promise. Taste bright. leaving. Oh, harvest gone. I'm barely breathing. I loved you like those vines. Just wanted you to stay this time. — Yeah. Like in the guitar, I can hear some of that AI shimmeiness. You know, it's very typical of these models, but every generation it's a little bit less noticeable. A little bit more less noticeable. And the rest of it is flawless. And we're getting stereo. It's replicating Taylor Swift's voice completely accurately. It sounds exactly like her. And this song about, you know, her growing a watermelon farm is actually better than her latest album.

Tame Impala Parody: “Impala” Wordplay and Style Matching

How about Tame and Paula? And you know what? He's actually going to sing about having an impala. In the afternoon is a heat morning and slow decay. Cruising quiet back roads mountain of butterflies. That's all there is to it. And the AI kind of can fill in the rest. It's really insane how little you really have to lift a finger to produce something of a high caliber or what used to be considered quality. Now it's trivial. Super crazy.

Let's switch it up and check out some country music. This is an old and sad country ballad re-imagined into modern country anthem about a cowboy with no cows. No, instead he just herded jellyfish. It's an inspiring story, I guess. Just rise of sunrise burned in my rear view. Old boots, empty pen, nothing left of the past. Big sky, wide world I walk through. See, again, this is supposed to be arena rock, anthem, orchestral. It's leaning more towards trap beats. I was binge watching my basement flat. Clicked a weird link. Didn't think much of that. " The lyrics aren't terrible and it's got good bones, but listen to what V5 was able to do. This is the same lyrics and pretty much the same exact style of description. It's one of those things about AI music models right now is that the breadth can honestly be wide for all of them. Whether it's Yria 3 by Google, Sunno AI, Sonado, but they each specify in their own areas. Like Sonado seems great for traditional rock, pop, hip-hop, trap, cloud rap, experimental ambiance, and probably a thousand other things, too. But like epic orchestral stadium rock just isn't going to fly. Or perhaps you need different tags, different ways of accessing the correct tokens in the weight that are going to bring out the nuances you're looking for. Every model is a little bit different. And the thing is like V3 is not officially out. It's still probably going to change before it's released.

Eminem as an Alien + Why This Model Takes More Risks
