Communism 2.0 is here

The Netherlands is about to destroy itself. They just passed a 36% tax on unrealized capital gains, which means money you haven't even cashed out from your assets, you have to pay to the government. So, let's say you bought a house 10 years ago and that house doubled, right? Let's say you bought it for $100,000. Now, it's worth $200,000. You haven't sold the house. You still have the house. It appreciated by $100,000, but now you have to pay $36,000 tax on unrealized gains, which means out of your pocket, you have to take money and you have to pay it. And if you don't have 6K, you would have to sell the asset to pay the tax. This is one of the most destructive ideas I've heard in a long time. But listen, this is pure communism 2. 0. This is crazy. And every single rational person who's middle class or above, will strongly consider leaving Netherlands. And anybody who's wealthy, even in the slightest, will just leave. There's so many better options out there in this world. People who don't understand assets and the stock market don't realize how insane of an idea this is. This is like eternal poverty. This is like government perma taxing you on every single small win you make. Even the wins that haven't been made yet. Crazy.
