Hey, it's Mark from Assembly just putting together a quick guide for Lemur users to move over to LLM Gateway. So, LLM gateway gives you access to a whole bunch of models from different LLM providers and it also adds new features like tool calling and agentic workflows. Uh, you get access to all of that with one assembly AI API key. So in this quick video I just wanted to walk through the key differences in the APIs and offer advice to those who are trying to migrate. So the big difference is primarily in the request and in the response. Um in the past when you would use lemur via prompt you can pass that to LLM gateway as a user message or we also have a prompt parameter that you can read about in our API reference. Next, for lemur, we would specify the provider name at the start of the model. But now we just have the model name without the provider listed there. And if you go to our LLM gateway overview page, you'll see the names of the other models that we offer. You can choose from Google Gemini Open AIGBT or anthropic cloud with more models to come in the future. Lastly, modify how you handle the response. So in lemur you would just get the response directly but now for LLM gateway you need to access the choices and in the message and the content and the reason we do that is so that we can support uh agentic workflows and tool calling. Um but if you're just working with text in the response it would be in the message and the content.
