I put Claude Opus 4.5 and Gemini 3.0 Pro head-to-head using the same fun, hands-on build prompts — voxel worlds, SVG art, front-end UI, and a browser game. Just real builds. The result surprised me. Intro

AI model launches are happening almost every week now. Benchmarks go up, charts look impressive, but when you actually sit down and use these models, the experience can be very different. So today, we're not doing a spec sheet comparison, we're putting Google's Gemini 3 Pro head-to-head against Andra's best model, Claude 4. 5 Opus. Same prompt and same constraints. And by the end of this video, you'll know which model actually wins in real use and which one you should be using. So, let's get into it. All right. One of the most

Round 1

fun things that I like to do when a new model drops is test the model's coding abilities, especially when it comes to creating vauo style 3D worlds, just because it's fun, creative, and it kind of looks fun to look at. So, what we're going to do is we're going to ask Gemini 3 Pro. So, I've selected Gemini 3 Pro over here and Cloud Office 4. 5. And we're going to do a sidebyside comparison between these two models. And the prompt is generate a small voxal style 3D world using JavaScript. Use 3. js. Create a ground plane trees and lighting. And just to make this more interesting, I'm going to say to add some surprise elements. So I want the models to surprise me. And let's see what both of these models create. And let's see which one is better. All right, looks like both of our models are done generating. And before we take a look at the actual world, let's how these models have thought about this problem and look at what it has done in the back end. So first, Gemini is saying that I'll generate a single file HTML solution, which is not bad, which is something that we would prefer anyways. Include grass, water, trees, and animated surprise elements like bouncing slimes, and floating clouds. Okay, interesting. We'll take a look at that. And then Opus 4. 5 said they're going to use ground plane, trees, lighting, and some surprise elements. Actually, he's trying to keep it a surprise. I guess that's why it's not there. And it has features, core elements, dynamic lighting, surprise elements, a little house, floating crystals, mushrooms, water pond, animals. Okay, at least at the moment, looks like Claude Opus 4. 5 is being a little bit more creative. And let's see what Gemini has. uh less thinking compared to this which is okay but let's see now how the worlds actually look so if we look at the Gemini world pretty good like it's not bad I see a bunch of trees I have my floating clouds which was my surprise element okay where is my slime oh I see the slime over there can I zoom in I yes I can zoom in that's my slime over there which is pretty Not bad. So, I would give this about a 6 out of 10. Then, let's look at the cloud. Okay, this one looks way better in my opinion visual- wise. And then if we look at the uh surprise elements, they added animals, which are good. Like, let's look at this animal. Not bad. Like, it looks like a bunny and everything like that. Then, we have our mushrooms at the bottom over here, which are cool. And then, I don't know what this spear thingy is. I guess it's trying to be clouds that are floating. What is it? Rainbow mode. Makes the ground cycle through rainbow colors. Oh, I see. I can do that. Okay, this is way better. I think this in this round I got to give it to uh Opus 4. 5. It added elements like these that I didn't ask for. And the surprise elements are way better. Let me turn it back into night mode. Uh rainbow mode. Click on this. I can stop it. I can spawn animals, which is cool. Do it. Oh, I can. As you can see, there's more and more animals. So, this is definitely winning this round. So, Claude Opus 4. 5 is pretty good when it comes to creativity and coding in this round. Round two, we have

asked both these models to create an SVG butterfly with animation. And this is something that requires a little bit more complex thinking because it's SVG. It's not supposed to just code something like that. It's supposed to use SVG code. So, you can see it has created an index html file. So if we take a look at this, you can see that it has to style and everything like that. So it's much more complicated than it seems. It looks simple, but it requires both these models to do a little bit more coding in the back end. So both of these models I've created. Let's judge these butterfly. So we have our Gemini butterfly here, which looks like it's following my mouse. Like if I move it this way, it follows it over there. The animation is pretty good. Like it looks pretty coherent. Uh the butterfly looks like that. Oh, if I click on these, they actually change color. I will. That's a cool feature. So, not bad at all. Uh, I can move it around, which is cool. Now, let's take a look at the claw opus 4. 5 one. From the get- go, this one looks, visually speaking, not as much of a butterfly compared to the Gemini one. Like, if you look at the wings, the bigger one and the smaller one look like actual butterflies, versus this looks like it has two balloons on the side, which is kind of funny. Does it have any features where it tracks the mouse? No. But it had added this one where you can control the speed of the animation which is good. But if I'm evaluating what the task was at the end, which was to create an SVG butterfly, Gemini definitely wins in this round. Uh just cuz like the butterfly looks much more like a butterfly compared to this version over here. So round two goes to Gemini. For

round number three, the task is once again very simple. The prompt is create a Flappy Bird game. When I say simple, obviously if you were to sit down and program this, it would take a lot of time. But both of these models have created this Flappy Bird game. And we'll take a look at which one feels better, feels like a actual Flappy Bird game, which visual elements align with the Flappy Bird theme and everything like that. And we'll compare both of these and we'll also see which model I can score the highest on. So let's try the Gemini model right now. So all I have to do is press space to start it. So let me first click play. start it. Okay, this one, this one feels like an actual Flappy Bird game, like the ones that used to be on the mobile app. Uh, not the best. Let's give it a one more try. Let's see if I can get to five. If I get to five, I'll be happy. I'm not going to waste your guys time. So, I'll try one more time. Well, this one's fun to play with. It feels like the Flappy Bird animation. Like, the motion also feels like that. So, this one's good. Okay, I'll die. Okay, I died on purpose. Don't worry, I'm really good. Then we have our clawed one. Our flappy bird looks a little bit chunky. We have a chunky bird, but that's fine. Let's try this out. Okay, this one animation pretty good. Uh game play is similar, but like compared to the other one, this one's a little bit buggy. Like, it's much more sensitive compared to the Gemini one. Like, as you can see, I'm not dying because I'm bad. I'm dying because the game itself is a little bit sensitive, but we'll get a hang of it. Maybe we can get to five. So, this one is definitely harder. So, but I'm not going to dox points for being harder, you know. Uh, animationwise, let's see. This one, like the bird beak is a little bit off, but the pipe and everything look pretty good. And then over here, the clouds are a little bit animated. For animation wise, I think Opus wins, but when it comes to gameplay, motion, and everything like that, I have to give it to Gemini. So, round three is going to Gemini, but this one was close for me. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments. For round number four and

Round 4

the last round, we are doing a test on the model's ability to build a modern landing page for an AI startup, use HTML, CSS, and vanillajs, dark mode, smooth animations, and a responsive layout. So both of these models are supposed to be also good at front-end coding. So creating beautiful websites and this is obviously this is the prompt and let's see what both of these models have created. So if we look at the Gemini one, it is calling it the Nexus AI. So this is not bad. Like this looks pretty professional. The header looks good. Uh we can actually navigate. Can we if I click on features? Okay, it does. But before we do that, let's just judge this. It looks like a dashboard of some sort. Uh the animation is like I guess working but not a lot of information when it comes to what the animation is over here. And we click on the demo. I guess it just takes it to the top. But let's go to features. If I were to slide down there. Okay, it looks pretty good. Like lighting fast enterprise security. I like this hover animation that it has added to all these boxes. And if I were to go down, connect your data, train model, deploy and monitor. Not bad. Simple and transparent pricing. I liked how it animated. As I scroll down the pricing, $49 a month for pro. Okay, interesting. Enterprise is custom, good language. This is something I would expect at most startups and SAS pages. Uh, what else? Nexus AI added all these features. So, this is pretty good. I can enter my email and subscribe to a I guess a newsletter, which is good. Then, let's take a look at the cloud opus 4. 51. Uh, it's calling it neural flow. We have something going on in the background. The animation looks like some pixels or something that are floating now in public beta. Interesting. Watch demo. Nothing happens. Start fre. We have this animation of this computer going up and down. Pretty good. Uh, I liked how this stuff is hovering in slowly as I go over him. Like if I were to go back down, you can see they pop up slowly. I guess it only happens the first time then. Yeah. Once again, we saw that like how it animated this coming in slowly and smoothly into the screen, which is good. Then the pricing structure, similar pricing structure. Starter is $29 a month. I guess Claude likes to take our money. I mean, it is a more expensive model. So, even the starter version is $29 a month versus this one, I think it was $0 a month. Yeah. Um, so Claude being Claude over here, which is, I guess, staying true to himself. Uh, but both of these are good. This one once again is a little tough for me, but given aesthetic-wise, I'm judging it really based off of aesthetics because the features that both of these models added are kind of one to one, I'm going to have to go with Claude for this round because of the background animation and everything like that. And honestly

after four rounds, this one ends in a tie. Gemini and Claude are good at different things, and that's kind of the point. But I do think that both of these models are interchangeable and they both are amazing models. So based on your preference, I would go accordingly. But let me know in the comments what you guys think. Who do you think actually won? Gemini Claude or does it depend on the task?
